Hotel Moxa - Bucharest

Hotel is an excellent value. Main drawback is its distance from most restaurants - a 15-20 minute walk along a busy boulevard at least or a 5-10 minute walk with 10 minute metro ride. One odd feature was a large pillar in the middle of my bedroom. It took up a lot of space! The smoking in the lobby was a problem.

The Moxa is an incredibly beautiful and pleasant boutique hotel, maybe the most special we've ever been - the room has so much character and style in great taste, it's warm and cosy, spacious and has a very comfortable bed and pillows. (not so common in Romania) Location is perfect, central and easy to find, a walking distance to the old city. Breakfast was good and had free espresso coffee included (!)The staff was very friendly and helpful, we are really glad we chose the Moxa, had a wonderful night there!

Unfortunatly I left before breakfast, so I can´t review that.

My reservation was supposed to be for a double room. The receptionist insisted that I had reserved only a single room and then had to pay the breakfast of my girlfriend. (10€ a day). We won't get poor because of those 20€, but Venere and the MOXA management should arrange the reservations in a better way.

Good hotel, but rooms are really too small !!! Happily, we have been changed, for a larger one ! If rooms were larger, it would be a good quality vs. price; The building configuration in circle, makes the rooms small; When we arrived, we told that we booked with Venere : Reception informed us that they believed we were 1 people, and so for the second one, we have to pay 10 € more... We did'nt accept, and finally the next morning, they applied the true price given by Venere : 79 €/day, and they changed our room, and we stayed 3 nights instead of 1.
