You get what you pay for here. Accommodation in Brussels during the week is incredibly high-priced. This was the cheapest hotel that I could find, and the quality of the hotel reflected this. The carpet in the room was filthy, covered in ominous looking stains and looked like it hadn't been hoovered in years, the room was barely big enough to swing a cat in and there was no storage space for clothes at all. However, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was substantial and the location was superb for shopping and access to public transport (although the hotel is located down a small road that doesn't look terribly inviting). I wouldn't go back here, but I now know that I need to pay a premium for accommodation in this city to get decent quality.

Advantages: 1) Too cheap compared to any hotel in Brussels at my stay interval 2) It was too close to the place where my mettings hold (for me) (10 mins by walking) 3) Very close to Gare Centrale (Old center of Brussels.) (15 mins by walking) 4) Free internet. The speed was not bad. 5) Close to the shopping centers. There are too many shops near the hotel. (For women maybe.) Disadvantages: 1) The WC is too tiny, also the washbasin. I could not wash my face there. (The dish was ok) 2) There has been a constant noise. There was a repairment or a modification in the hotel i guess. But for the persons like me who will leave the hotel at 08:00AM and return back to the hotel at 09:00PM it won't be a problem. There wasn't that any drill noise after 9PM. (Except for an evening for a couple of times.) 3) The furniture in the rooms was not so luxurious. (Was no problem for me also.) 4) The elevator is bleak. You may be scared when using it. Slow and dread. Well if you will use the hotel only for STAYING then this hotel is not bad for that price. But if you expect more than that from a hotel then don't stay there. Don't even come close to it. Will I stay there again? The answer is "Most probably NO". But If I cannot find a cheaper hotel than that then I will ( because I will have to.) But normally it is not a good hotel.

very simple hotel in a reasonable location - some noise due to a construction right in front of the hotel (march 2010)

Hotel located on a very quiet street. It's a little scary to walk at night. Room was newly renovated, but it's extremely small. We literally had to walk on the bed after putting the two luggages on the floor. We could hear all the noise in the hallway. 15 to 20-minute walk to the Grand Place. Metro is close by. Staff was very friendly.

The main advantage of this hotel is its situation, close to the Palais des Académies. The room was quiet except for the 2nd night, when excited people arrived speaking loudly in the corridor at 5 a.m.! Very small shower and WC, but OK.

A good tourist class hotel. The only fault was that 5 out of the 8 light bulbs in the rooms were faulty. The staff at least changed the bulb in the bathroom so that we didn't have to shower in the dark.

It does not offer much, but it is a cheap hotel, so I think the price-to-quality ratio is OK.

I spent 3 days in Brussels. The accurate price and address. The hotel however needs to have their own car for guest traveling between airport and Hotel and there is loud noise from next rooms. Overall is good.

The Sun Hotel is down a very unkempt and unpleasant street. However it is not in a bad area generally. The Staff are very helpful. The rooms are badly decorated and very small and the appliances don't work. The car parking facility is excellent as was the breakfast.

The hotel is being reformed so there was a strong smell of paint (or something alike) all over the room. The room itself is shabby... the courtains are half broken, the desk is falling apart, there were electricity cables laying around the room with a wall socket unnatached on the floor. Walls and doors are thin, so it's quite noisy. The bathroom in my room was tinny and even though it was renewed it was far from nice. I think that not all rooms have bathroom since there was one on the corridor next to my room. On the positive side, people were really nice and the prices are cheap. Also found some open networks, probably from neighbours, so I got free access to Internet. Wrt location, it is a key point. Close to the subway and walking distance from the centre. There are many options to have dinner around, and the breakfast there was quite Ok. I would only recommend it to people used to "youth hostel quality", not too picky, and with a low budget. Rooms are enough to sleep and have a shower in the morning, but not much more.

This was our first time in Brussels. We stayed in a triple bedroom. The space for the three of us was sufficient. The staff was friendly. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel though I have to say that the breakfast room didn't seem too inviting. Over all it was a good place to stay at for two nights. The hotel is quiet but still centrally located.

Good stay, the strong points are the quietness of the rooms and the shopping area very close. The weak one is the size of the bathroom with however a new shower.

Very hard to find the hotel -- used a taxi to guide us to the street. Parking a little bit of a problem at first but resolved after a 2 hour wait. Very small room and teeny tiny shower stall definitely NOT built for larger mortals! Breakfast was OK but not special. Manager was helpful and spoke good english.

Extremely inexpensive hotel. Convinient location. Property largely depreciated, needs refurbishment. For one night is OK, particularly given the price.
