This is listed as a 3-star but is really 2-star in a big city. Location is hard to find as maps show it on a semi-circle type street, but it is on a corner. I had a bare single which was maybe 3 meters wide, single bed w/bath, yet at 63 euro was a fair (maybe excellent) price/value. Hotel is located on very busy walking street just down from all the tourist restaurants and only 2 blocks from the square. Free bag storage (secure 3rd floor location) after check out was a good deal. Breakfast included was good, not great, for the price (standard breads, cheese, coffee)

Our family of two parents and two teenage children stayed in a quad room. it was very spacious with a large, clean bathroom. Breakfast was good and the location of this hotel was superb only a short walk away from the Grand Place. Price was very reasonable and the staff were friendly and spoke good English. The only thing that would have improved the stay for us would have been able to make tea/coffee in our room. We will certainly stay at this hotel again when we return to Brussels.

Just back from a 2 night break in Brussels, girlie weekend away with 7 of my friends. Hotel is very central, short walk from all the sights, shops, restaurants and bars. We stayed in a quad room which had two big double beds, very spacious and warm with nice big bathroom. Beds were made and fresh towels supplied every day. Breakfast was typically European with breads, cheeses and meats etc but very well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Opera. The location is great and the breakfast was good. We arrived early (8:30am) and they let us have breakfast on our first day as we were leaving early the next morning. We got to have our room early as well which was very helpful. That evening, I was able to get some milk from the kitchen for my little one, it is not usually done but the concierge was very kind and did it for me. Everything about our stay was great. Thanks! We would go back and would recommend it to our friends.

We arrived before check in and were permitted to leave our luggage in our room. The room had not been cleaned yet and seemed a bit shabby. In particular we were concerned that the mattresses on the bed did not look comfortable - seemed quite worn. When we came back later, the room was clean and looked much nicer. Despite our concerns about the mattresses, we all found the beds comfortable and slept well. There was some street noise until about 10pm, but with the windows closed it was bearable and after 10pm it was quiet. Located right in the middle of the sights so we could easily see everything we wanted to see. This was a plus since we only had one day in Brussels. The hotel also has a lift which was nice.

First we had a room at the main street: very noisy. We asked for a room at the backside, that was no problem. This room was very quiet! A negative point was the overal temperature in the hotel, it was very warm, opening a window didn't lower the temperature very much...

Location is great! The hotel is clean and quite comfortable, the staff is very welcoming and competent. I can mention only one drawback: the room facing the street was noisy early morning. In general, relationship between price and quality is very good!

The reception is very friendly and competent. The room, although clean, makes an oldish impression. Rooms towards the street are facing horrible noise from late tourists and trucks for delivery or garbage in the early morning. This is only bearable with closed windows or ear-plugs.

Grandparents, parents & grandson traveling together. Bathroom was gleaming clean, a big plus. Room spacious. No frills, but good value. Excellent breakfast. Mid-week, area quiet so we don't know how weekend would be. One block from restaurants, near Grand Place, near Place Brouckere. We travel a lot & would stay here again.

I really recommend everyone, nice receptionist, very large room, fresh breakfest (included in prize), good location and the price very advantegous. During my stay I found only one fault it was very noisy at night as in front of the hotel are many restaurants. After all I higly recommend.

Our family of two parents and 2 teenagers stayed in 2 rooms. The room facing the street had a lot of noise at night, from people leaving bars and restaurants. Windows could not be opened "just a bit". Better windows would have helped. Rooms are small, but have everything you need. Staff was very helpful, especially a guy named Said. Breakfast was efficiently arranged and very good. Other than the street noise, we liked our stay there.

This hotel was in close proximity of the main attractions: Grand Place, museums, shops, restuarants etc. The staff were very accomodating and courteous. Great price for location. Rooms facing the side street have noise due to late night people walking the streets being loud in the morning. Windows closed help knock out most of the noise.

Hotel Opera is in a terrific location with much to see within walking distance. The quadruple hotel room had enough room for two adults and two older children (13 and 11). Bring ear plugs at night because there is activity outside the hotel and it is quite noisey. The bathroom was very clean and the room itself was acceptable, given the rate. The continental breakfast was typical and nothing special. We'd go back.

We arrived early and check-in went smoothly, discovered our room was facing the street. We asked if we could be moved to a quieter room, and that was no problem. The rooms were clean and tidy, reception staff was very friendly and multilingual, breakfast was "okay". The shower took awhile to heat up, but that was minor. Location is everything! 1 block from the Metro, 1 block from the Square, 2 blocks from the train station- the central location was well worth it.

Fantastic staff. We arrived very late & there had been some sort of leak in the ceiling over our quad room, so we were quickly moved to two double rooms across the hall from one another at no extra cost. Nice decor. One complaint: the hotel name was very hard to locate at night on the building, so we missed it the first couple of times. Great location for restaurants & bars.

The location is very convenient to the Metro as well as to tourist sites and restaurants. The breakfast was adequate but the fact that it was available until 10 a.m. was much appreciated. The biggest complaint is the lack of air-conditioning. With the heat of summer, one must sleep with the windows open and the mosquitos are intolerable. Due to the fact that we were eaten alive by the mosquitos, we would not stay at this hotel again during summer months.

A nice hotel, staff friendly enough. Rooms that overlook Rue Gretry can be a little noisy with windows open on a hot night, as the street is full of bars and restaurants, but we found this a bonus not a huge inconvenience. Nice and close to major sights.

We needed to have the windows open due to the hot weather and the outside traffic and pedestrian noise was incredible! Partiers until the early morning hours - bars close at 5:00 AM! Little sleep possible due to the noise. I'm sure in the cooler weather the hotel would be great.
