Clean & dry room, excellent location. They're not joking when they say continental breakfast - two bits of bread, coffee, fruit juice and that's it. The decor is a bit of a giggle. The hotel is amongst bars and restaurants so there's bound to be a bit of noise.

The location of the hotel was excellent, very near the centre; but nobody says that the street where the hotel is located is busy of people talking and singing and laughing until 6.30 a.m... No peace to sleep!

The hotel was absolutely great! The toilet was not clean though but aside from that everything was great. Could have been better with clean toilets, lift that could take you on all the room floors, and a wifi connection.

This hotel is wonderful. In the center, walking area, for a few minutes from the Grand Place and the main square. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast could be more diverse. Highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Brussels...

It isn't very clean and in the bathroom there is poorly ligthly. The location is very good because it is near the Central Station Train. Don't choose a room over the street because you will cann't sleep

I travelled with one of my best friend. I was positively surprised by the hotel, the location is awesome, the interior design deserves a "wow", breakfast was fine and really it was a pleasant stay, we felt safe, near to everything.

One of our worst hotels. The bathroom ceiling was full of mold. The whole room looked dingy. We felt uncomfortable sleeping there. The only redeeming quality was its proximity to Le Grand Place.

The hotel is really very original with nice old furnitures and its position is simply fantastic near Grand Place. Breakfast is basic but bread and croissant are very fresh and tasty.

It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. So noisy that my son didn't get to sleep until AFTER 4 AM when the club across the street finally closed. The people behind the desk were rude. The breakfast was minimal. They charged for the room upfront so they had our money. Because we arrived late the first night, we didn't know how bad it would be. We were going to Bruges early the next morning so we had no time to find new digs. They also had our money, so that probably would have been a nightmare given the surliness of the front desk employees.

Public areas very special but in a way nice. Room very special - in fact most like a corridor from the entrance door to the window. At the window a staircase, or in fact more like a ladder, was the way up to a higher level where the beds were placed. The floor at this level was very uneven. The beds were OK and also the bathroom ( at the lower level). The main problem was the noise level from the street outside. It was next to being outside and very difficult to get some sleep during the night.

Staff is rude and non-english speaking, room very small, pictures dissimilar to the reality, location is good, very close to the center, easy to find the hotel. Next time in Brussels I will stay in the other hotel

Did not get the room I booked (wanted two seperated beds and got one double); stayed for three nights; bathroom was not very clean; breakfast was very poor for this room-rate

Dirty rooms. Breakfast 'recycled' from other tables and general lack of cleanliness. Children's beds lumpy and hard. Concerns about attic rooms and lack of proper fire escapes (only one set of stairs). Inadequate emergency lighting. Power tripped at night. Room window opened onto boiler flues and exhaust from fast food establishments which ingressed into room. A large step in the middle of the bedroom floor. Lift dangerous, had no internal door, similar to ones that were banned in the 1970s that severed the limbs of children in Spanish hotels. I cannot believe that this place is at the hub of the European Union as it simply fails in so many basic health and safety standards.

While in a great location, this hotel disappointed us -- while nice and competent at the basics (extra towels appeared promptly, a wastebasket left full by the previous occupants was emptied), the staff could not provide directions or information. Services like breakfast and soaps were minimal. This was an inexpensive hotel, but it did not deserve the 3-star rating.

Camera piccola per 4 persone, ma davvero caratteristica. Bagno confortevole. Mancavano le saponette. Personale non molto espansivo. a 50 metri dalla Gran Place e 3 minuti a piedi dalla Gare Centrale. Giudizio positivo

We enjoyed our stay in Brussels, the location of the hotel is excellent if a bit noisy at nigth if you are in a room at the front, the hotel was clean through out. But the rooms we were given probably weren't worth the price we payed, they were split level with the beds on a platform above the bathroom, I am 5 foot 9 inches thats 1.8M and i could not stand straight by the beds as it was only one night it dident worry us but any more and we would have asked to move or moved hotel.

Breakfast may consist of different type of choices (same cost). The most important thing that bothered me was the noise of the neighbours, noisy door handles and keys and no one helped to carry luggage to upstairs and downstairs or nither my luggage was replaced in to the room I was offered to change when I was about to leave the hotel due to noise the neighbours made until and after midnight.

A hotel with a lot of character, to put it mildly. Of course being met with lobby entertaining pianist playing so loudly you couldn't hear the receptionist was a bit over the top. Also not the place to go with a lot of luggage - as my room on the "first floor" after taking the elevator required getting up at least three steep staircases and traversing a lot of rooms, courtyards and corridors. I kept getting lost finding my way to breakfast or reception. But price and location is excellent, and the staff was competent. A fairly simple continental breakfast.

My room was not particularly spacious. I asked a matrimonial bed and instead they gave me a room with two beds Cleaning was not particularly accurate They made me pay for our stay a superior price to that I had booked and only after having protested they refunded me the difference . Reach the breakfast room is very complicated!

We asked for a smoking and double room and recevied a single, very small, non-smoking one. People at the reception were not very friendly. The soap dspenser was broken and the toilets leaking ; we mentioned it but they did not fix it. The room was also very noisy. However, the public areas and rooms are beautiful.

Our room was on the second floor and although the hotel says it has an elevator it only goes to the first floor. After that we had to climb up a narrow spirling staircase that was almost impossible to climb with a suitcase. The location is perfect, great shopping, sights and restaurants. Personally I would not stay there again as I saw some other wonderful hotels in the same general area that looked much better and when I enquired their prices were comparable.

New ownership, under construction, sewer smell in rooms, no elevator access, great location but several other hotels near by with much better rooms and service for the same price. I would not stay here again.

Room and bath in poor condition. Many items needed repair; such as, phone cord pulled out of wall(had to twist the wires to get a dial tone), no soap provided in soap containers during entire stay of 3 days, TV remote did not work(advised within the first hour that it did not work) and they made no attempt to replace during stay, stairs to bed in loft had unstable handrail, and breakfast was two pieces of bread on a plate with a wraped slice of cheese and orange juice and coffee. All 30+ places at the tables were served with the bread, cheese and OJ prior to anyone coming to breakfast. Hotel is in central location near the train station and the Grand Place(only true asset of hotel). If you can overlook the physical upkeep of the rooms then the location is a good reason to choose this hotel. We asked for a twin bed room on Venere and the owner argued that he was obligated only to give us a double bed. He reluctantly gave us a twin room after we showed him our Venere paperwork and arguing a while. Never felt that the hotel really cared if we were satisfied with our stay.

On the plus side: the hotel has wirless internat in ALL rooms (kudos to hotel mozart for offering this service!). downsides: 1. was told that rooms to the street are the nicer rooms which was totally wrong (they are small and extremely noisy since there are a dozen restaurants with large open areas in the street (noise till 3:00 in the morning) 2. my room was extremely small (no place for a chair or desk) 2. the wall between my room and the neighbouring room was not closed (obviously the 2 rooms used to be one big room that was seperated leaving a slit between the huge window and the wall open - i heard everything my neighbour was doing 3. pricing is strange - prices are slightly higher than indicated in the brochures at the hotel and during my 2-day stay they raised the prices on a monday evening by 5 eur. i payed the old price but my bill indicated the higher rate - at my complaint i was told that the computer can't handle it otherwise. 4. breakfast consists of ONLY bread, butter, jam and a slice of fruit, orange juice and coffee/tea. no fruits, no yoghurt etc. 5. the breakfast room is only accessible via numerous winding staircases and includes a short walk over an open terrace (wonder what they do when its raining or snowing).

This is a strange hotel, it looks more like a museum...the owner is even stranger. He makes off racist jokes that go down like a bag of wet cement. The room we had was a very weird shape and had one tiny window looking out onto a back alley way. It was extremely noisy on the Saturday night, with locals marking their arrival home in the early hours with a very loud "woo"....dont ask me why. The one good thing about this hotel is its location, less than five minute walk to the station and situated next to the major sights and restaurant area.

Great location (a block from restaurants, chocolate shops open till midnight, main square), great decor, and we booked very last-minute for a room for 4, so did not expect a place so nice! Our reservation did have a problem in that our room only had one bed, but the staff promptly found a second room with 2 beds at no charge, so we had 2 rooms that night. Funny thing - all the room numbers start with "1" - but our room 120 was up stairs and around the corridor and up more stairs and around another corridor and so on... We packed lightly but even at that it was a long haul with the luggage. Map it out before you get there because the small map in the confirmation email will not get you there.

Good location, only a few blocks from central station, but needs better direction on how to walk to hotel from train station (two short block- in what direction?) Can't take a taxi because of blocked streets. At first we were taken aback by the look of the place - Moroccan bordello, but we had a good laugh, and it turned out to exceed our expectations.

The best thing of the hotel is the location, is incredibly near of the Grand Place and is located in a very bussy street, plenty of restaurants and nightlife, is for this reason that some rooms are not so quite; but for a young cuople or for a group of friends can be PARADISE!!!!

Great hotel. Great location very near to the Grand Place. Located on a lively little street with good inexpensive eating options. The decor is outstanding in the public areas, very vibrant. The breakfast is plenty and good and our rooms were quiet and comfortable. The only critique I have is that the shower temperature is very erratic and difficult to modulate.
