The Hotel is well situated for my needs, however the rooms are very basic. The chamber maid service is excellent and the room was very clean but in need of TLC! My particular room was extremly small, (room 9)and on the 4th floor so I was not too disturbed by outside noise, however my brother was on the 3rd floor and although a much more spacious room, he had little sleep because of traffic noise all night. The water was not hot enough for a shower just luke warm. In comparison to say the Primier Inn in England for the same price this rated very poorly.

I generally enjoyed my stay. No hitches, and for Brussels, the room was a good bargain

Though room and other areas in the building were quite compact, it was always clean and well equipped. Staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location is in a bit distance from the historical center of the city, but there are easily accessible metro station by walking through a nice park. We've also got a view of the Basilique Koekelberg from our room. We were generally happy with our stay in Hotel Frederiksborg, only one thing is that the price is a bit high.

Excellent hotel is more than a 2 stars to us. It was newly decorated. We got a quiet room on the 4th floor number 22. Room are spacious and pleasant. The park across the street was a big plus for us. We went every night to relax, it is a very secure and pleasant area. The Basilic is just magnificent. Cheap restaurant near the Metro Station about 10 minutes walk from hotel. Also a cheap bakery which opens at 5:00 am which you could sit (3 tables and stools) and drink good pastries and coffee. The hotel breakfast is too expensive but convenient if you do not want to walk early in the morning to get your breakfast. There is also a bakery at the entrance of the Metro station (approximately 10 to 15 minutes walk from hotel). There are 2 tables and stools which you can sit and have breakfast, good coffee.

The one shortcome is that perhaps if they would have disclosed better the distance from the metro station we would have chosen the hotel anyway, but we've spent 30 minutes trying to find the hotel because is not 300 mts from the station, but 700. As a matter of fact we've got lost with all the luggage and the neighbourhood where we've been roaming was kind of insecure. Anyway, the overall stay was good. The room was excellent.

We had a good stay here. The desk man on duty on our arrival was very helpful and although we arrived well before check-in, we were allowed to check in and then had a great American breakfast in the hotel dining room. This was a very comfortable bar/restaurant and we had dinner there also. Although our room was over a busy street and not real quiet, it wasn't too bad. The hotel was also helpful in getting us a taxi to the airport which was worth the 32euros to not lug our luggage back into the center of town to catch a train.

We travelled with our 23yo son, to save costs we requested a room with 3 beds. We were booked into a loft room on the top floor, spotlessly clean and plenty of space and 4 beds in it. The bathroom was enormous and newly renovated. We found the aircon ineffective and the lack of opening windows made the room hot, stuffy and claustrophobic. (It was summer). A shower cubicle in the bathroom (there is enough space) would be a nice touch. We loved the dining/pub area and found the hotel to be clean and the staff helpful and friendly. Directions were a bit misleading, Venere website says its 300m from Metro station, it was more like 1 km, a bit of a schlep with heavy luggage. It would have been better if you gave you the bus route number, the bus stop is just acrosss the road, as is a lovely park and historic basilica. Lovely, lovely hotel in a quieter suburb.

Hotel is not easy to find because IT IS NOT 300M FROM THE UNDERGROUND STATION! It is about 1km (0.62 mile) from the Simonis station! A long walk... Clean room, reasonably spacious. It was hard to shower with the low shower. If you try to raise shower above your head, water gets awfully cold. Staff is ok. Did not try the restaurant, but it seems ok. Nice park nearby. I'd choose a different one next time, really near the underground station.

The only bad comentary is that we stayed on the 5th floor, but the lift stopped on the 4th, so we had to use the stairs to go to the room. Beside that, the employees were very kind.

En general el hotel esta muy bien, solo que retirado un poco del centro. Sin embargo no hay nada que objetar del mismo.

Rooms are spare. Lift is small and awkward (but they have one!). Wi-Fi was great when it worked (which was most of the time), required password, etc. from front desk. Restaurant very cozy and nice. Great views of Basilica.

Personal atento y simpatico, hablan ingles y frances. Recomendado.

A beautiful little hotel in an unexpectedly pleasant Brussels neighbourhood. The locals come to the hotel for ambiance, excellent Belgian food, good Belgian service, and a pleasantly appointed location of the hotel at a crossroads and opposite a beautiful urban park. I will be going back there next time in Brussels.
