The hotel is located in a small lane close to Grand Dam which is in the old area of Brussels and very charming. Shops, restaurants and the Christmas markets were close by. The bed was was comfortable and the room was adequate as was the bathroom. They were both clean and well maintained. We didn't spend much time in them as we wanted to see as much as we could of the city. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming and a computer terminal was provided for guests in the lounge free of charge. Breakfast was included and was quite substantial with bacon and eggs as well as cereal and continental breakfast. I thought it was good value and would stay there again

It is located very near the Grand Place, and form the St Humbert's Galeries. Not free internet. The rooms are clean and in a very good conditions. It has elevator, breakfast included and a very beautiful landscape. Breakfast of good quality. Good price for the offered items.

Excellent location just 100 mt from Grand Place and 300 mt from metro. Quite noisy due to crowd in the night. Superb view from the breakfast terrace at 7th floor.

We can only think that the third star has been awarded due to the location and the welcoming reception/foyer/bar and the fact the hotel offers WiFi/internet. In our opinion it's a "2-star" establishment. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful, but there were other things lacking. For instance, our room (a triple on the 6th floor, no 611) didn't have a safe, although the room descriptions on various websites state there should be one. Beds are comfortable, but pillows aren't. The carpet in our room was stained in places and there were stains from previous leaks in the ceiling. When we put the air-con on there was a stench in the room as if there had been a sewer near to the vent so we had to switch it off. The hotel should see to these things as a matter of urgency. There was a fair amount of street noise to be heard, even with the windows closed and being on the 6th floor (7 floors in total). The general cleanliness of the room and bathroom was good. The breakfast buffet was alright and the room offered a splendid view of the City Hall on Grand Place. However, pictures of the buffet on websites and in the hotel lifts had led us to believe there would be boiled eggs, but there weren't any. We were very disappointed by this as we felt the hotel was misleading it's guests by the pictures published. Also, the breakfast hostesses could be a bit more welcoming when they're moving around clearing and refilling. A smile and a greeting wouldn't hurt, not to mention how unsuitable it is to be openly chewing and popping gum whilst putting out the croissants! Apart from this our group would probably consider staying in this hotel again, as you cannot fault the location one bit. Five minutes walk to Brussels Central station (one stop from Midi and Eurostar). About the same to Manneken Pis. Grand Place is around the corner. Bars, restaurants, shops and sights in the area. Value for money was OK, if not brilliant. We were expecting a better room standard for the price.

3*??? I think 2* could be stretching it. Looking rather shabby, exposed wiring in the room, graffiti in lobby windows no one bother to remove. Great location, breakfast OK. Priced for location.

The location of the hotel is perfect, easy to find. At only 2 minutes of the Grand Place. The room was clean and it was very quiet. The breakfast is really good, a large range of choice (croissants, toasts, egg, bacon, etc). I would definitely recommend it.

Nice hotel, with spacious rooms and a very nice terrace for breakfast. Unfortunately, rooms with windows over the street are very noisy in the night.

We only stayed in brussels for one night and to be honest that was enough, we were in Brugges for four nights and there was no comparsion ,did not like the surrondings to this hotel, when we got into our room there was no towels for us when we told reception we had to go down and get them ourselves, not on, was so not worth the money we paid and would not recommond it. I will say one good thing the breakfast was excellent and had some great views of the city.

Nice hotel in the heart of Brussels, few steps from the Grand Place and the restaurants streets. Despite the location it was quite. Personals were nice and helpful. Breakfast itself worth the money of the room.

Unfortunately ,the Arlequin had overbooked and there was no double room available for us so we were sent to a "sister hotel", the Floris Avenue. Although this was an upgrade with good facilities, it was further from the centre, which is one of the reasons we booked the Arlequin in the first place!! However, we would stay in either of the hotels again and would recommend them as the centre of Brussels lends itself to exploration on foot! I have reviewed the Floris Avenue and given 1 for rooms available!

Hotel is located in the middle of historic city. Room was just enough to accomodate two adults. We had continental breakfast with good variety of food.If you get used to have a good sleep at night, you would not notice any noise coming from the street. There are plenty of restaurants nearby but not many with real belgian kitchen

It has been refurbished since those pictures were taken and it looks very modern and clean. The location is superb, one block off the Grand Palace square. Breakfast was average, but was included in price and came with a nice view from the 7th floor. Overall, I thought this was a great value given its location - I would stay here again.

All good, apart from the bathroom in room 208 - shower was a tepid dribble which failed to drain away properly, and flushing the toilet was very tricky. Phone in room was also broken. Great location though, and comfortable room.

Convenient location close to Grand Place. The included breakfast in the 7th floor dining room was varied and very good. Rooms were clean. Staff at front desk was friendly and helpful, always willing to answer our questions and requests. This was our first visit, and I would definitely stay here again. A nearby restaurant worth checking out: Chez Leon, just down the street. Good, reasonable meals. Did not try to gauge the tourist.

Room was tiny with very low ceiling (2.1m). There was no air conditioning, but what appeared to be the air-conditioning system for most of the hotel was near our bedroom window pumping out noise and possibly hot air into our room. Breakfast was chaotic, not enough room for the number of tables, and not enough staff. Location was, however, excellent.

Optimal location and really beautiful view from the restaurant room! But he pictures reproduce only the best rooms. In particular, you have to ask for a quiet room in advance, if wished. At the moment (May 2007), the hotel experiences a restructuring: the prices became much higher, the quality has still to follow (e.g., plastic curtain in the shower). Old problem: the windows cannot be closed properly (hence, occasionally draught and/or noise). Very kind and friendly staff.

We had 2 double rooms, one on floor 0, very big room and nicely done, and the other one on floor 2, small and dark with 3 beds!! very big difference in the size and style of the rooms, which of course had the same price!!(fare?) also the aircondition did not work at all... but the location was superb!!

The location of the hotel is very convenient, very close to the Grand Place with a variety of restaurants around it. The view from my room which overlooked a small alley at the back of the restaurants was not very inspiring and was quite noisy early in the morning, but the view from the hotel restaurant on the top floor of the hotel is magnificent and made up for it.

The pictures do not match the property and no computer service is available. We paid for a triple, but were only given a cot for the third bed and no bed linens. When we asked for them, we were told they were not available. The staff was not helpful, the rooms are old and dirty and the price (since we paid for a triple) was not worth the stay. I would never recommend this property to anyone.

The location of the hotel is perfect. You are down town. Not far from the train station and you can walk all distances. Also the breakfast room on the 7th floor is great! There you have a wonderful view over the city and the breakfast is very good too. We enjoyed the stay very much !! Thank you!
