The hotel is quiet close to a black neighbourhood , not really in the city centre & the price quoted to me was including breakfast , when i spoke with the reception manager he said breakfast not included & i had to pay additional 7 euros which is not too fair , Overall the room was good with the bathroom , but the receptionist never spoke good english & not good warm welcome

A simple hotel that does what it says on the tin. Nothing fancy but very convenient for the Eurostar & Central Brussels. We stayed as a group that had popped over for a few Xmas beers & this place was spot on for us. Would I bring my wife? Unlikely but if you're on a budget this place ticks the boxes & was surprisingly comfortable & clean - despite some of the previous reviews.

A 2-star hotel with the standard of a 1- or 0-star hotel. It was not mentioned on the internet and in advance, that 3 very noisy construction areas (street tunnel and 2 neighbouring houses) are around, where works began before 07:00 o'clock. The front street was also very noisy during the night. After complaining, I was offered a more quiet room: Smelling of litter and wast, because the window was going to a dark chimney of 2 to 4 meters, the bottom covered with litter and wast. The cimney was covered by a closed glass roof, thus no air circulation, no daylight. During the night frequently the sounds of lovers echoed through the chimney. After complaining again, no other room was offered. I canceled the rest of the booked days and went to a nearby hotel withour a star, with a small room, window to the back yard, very quiet, same cleanliness as before, but to my suprise only 45 EUR (instead of 60 EUR for de France).

It has lots of noise, lack of hot water, a little bit dirty and seriously weathered, so I would not recommend the experience. The only possitive is that it's near the railway station, and breakfast is not bad (but not included).

One of the staff is very reluctant providing service, including hiring taxi. She doesn't quite speak English. I don' know know whether this is common in Paris.

I was a bit wary of booking a room at this hotel after reading some of the reviews but as it turns out it was fine. My room was clean and quiet and the location excellent as I wanted to be close to the Gare du Midi. Note that it takes 15-20 mins to reach the Grand Place by foot from the hotel. Not a luxury hotel by any means but fine if you're looking for budget accommodation.

- The rate quality/prize is expensive for single rooms, and I had a noisy room very near the lift and the avenue. My room was right but the shower was not in perfect condition. The service is good and breakfast is good. My overall impression is, expensive single room for the facilities offered.

kind of a gross hotel, not that clean and in a shady neighborhood. we stayed here because it was close to the train station but it was very hard to find and we had to call a cab. the beds and bathroom were not that clean.

Hotel was exactly what we wanted, i.e somewhere to sleep. It is approximately a mile from the Grand Place which is a must see! There was a fair right outside the hotel but it did not cause us any bother with noise. Hotel staff all spoke English which made things a lot easier, when i return to Brussels i will definitely consider this Hotel again.
