The whole experience was good - breakfast wasn't mentioned above but was really good in very well managed and clean surroundings. The whole experience was rendered TOP RATE by the receptionist Jasmina who has a superb rapport with the customers. We didnt need to park a car and you should ensure that you get a parking place from the hotel in advance as the area is crowded in the evening. The area is not far on foot from the down town stuff but there are not that many restaurants in the immediate area. The area of the hotel is a lively residential area but it is not brightly lit down town environment. I would think that many Americans would be uncomfortable there.

I staid with my daughter for 4 nights. We had a room on the frontside of the hote. At night it was very noise because of the many people in the street (pubs around). The breakfast buffet was a little bit disappointing. Sometimes there were no more eggs or yoghurt.

Nice staff; pleasant hotel. Quite a long walk from Midi Station. Make sure yuo have a good map. The area is a bit grotty, and there are no bars anywhere near the hotel - and it is a E11 taxi to the Grand Place

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful (except for the first receptionist, who "welcomed" us in front of the main entrance with a smoking cigarette in his hand). Room was fine and there was enough space for 2 persons. There was a problem with hot water - even we were on the 1st floor, it took ages to get it from the tubes :o). Be patient with the ice-cream car driving around every day at 10h30 p.m. (!) and playing music very loudly :o). We really appreciated tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Lovely breakfast - sufficient kinds and quantity of everything, and absolutely great pastry and rolls. There´s a supermarket (Delhaize) in a street off. When checking-out we got a little present - some belgian truffles. Thanks a lot for this regard :o).

Very nice welcome day and night. 15 mn walk from Railway station midi. No metro station around. Just bus 48 to go to center town "Bourse" in 20mn. Excellent price versus quality with Venere offer.

Rooms on the street side are a little noisy. Rooms a spacious, and comfortable. Staff is professional and friendly. Excellent breakfast. Within a walking distance from train station. Not ideally located for tourism, but perfect for a professional trip. It is the second time I come here. Never managed to get the wifi work...

Near train station. Located in an "immigrant" neighborhood, but had no issues and area is said to be safe. Area is a bit down on its luck. Off-the-street rooms are quiet, but on the street part noisy until late. Very nice lobby and bar. Truly excellent, friendly and helpful desk staff. Rooms have all you need, and are clean with comfortable beds. Easy to get to bus to central city, Grand Place and other sites. Good value for the money.

This hotel was not a good choice for Eurostar or air travellers. Distance from the centre need not be an issue, but there is only one bus service in the area offering old overcrowded buses to the historic centre but not to the station. A great pity because the hotel itself was excellent.

Good facilities except for lack of hot water. There was none the evening we arrived, a trickle early in the morning and was only good as we were leaving. There was no offer of a discount for the inconvenience. The plumbing needs to be sorted out.

A nice hotel for Brussels. Probably a 15-minute walk from Midi train station although there are trams that stop nearby. The neighborhood did not seem at all problematic, although is ethnic. The staff were quite friendly. Free internet and fairly good breakfast were big plus. Also very nice outside terrace for relaxing in the evening. All in all a quite nice place.

Quite a nice area, about a 10-15 minute walk from the Gare du midi station which was very convenient for travel into the town centre.Nice, pleasant surroundings in the hotel & polite, friendly & very obliging staff...especially in opening the hotel bar when we turned up late from a night on the town! Good breakfast in clean pleasant surroundings. Overall, very nice with no real complaint. Would definitely stay again.

It was a pleasure staying at Hotel De Fierlant, situated near midi railway station, in a quiet neighbourhood. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated. We enjoyed very much the buffet breakfast and the competence of the employee who spared no effort to make us feel comfortable. Many thanks.

The staff at the hotel were really helpful. They gave us a map of the city and pointed out all of the best places to go. The hotel was really clean and only around a 5-10 minute walk from the train station. We had to walk for 5 minutes to the bus stop and then get a bus to the centre of the city which took around 10 minutes but the buses run late so it wasn't a problem.

The hotel is a little far from downtown, but easily reachable through a 10 minutes ride by bus. The rooms are fine, but they are not very clean. The personnel is excellent, and the breakfast too. The relation price-services is very conveniant.

My room was very large, clean and comfortable. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the breakfast, too. However, I do not think that the surrounding areas are nice, even though it is very handy as being within easy walking distance from Brussels Midi, and that's why I had decided to stay in this hotel. I recommend to using public transports - Bus Number 48 from the City Centre or Tram 82 from Brussels Midi Station.

LA HABITACION ES PEQUEÑA PERO CORRECTA. EL ACCESO A LAS HABITACIONES ES TETRICO. LAS VISTAS DESDE ALGUNAS HABITACIONES SON MUY FEAS. EL DESAYUNO ES BASTANTE COMPLETO. ESTA LEJOS DEL CENTRO, PERO EL AUTOBUS PARA A 5 MIN. ES UNA CALLE MUY TRANQUILA.

Hello, We stayed in Brussels for 3 nights. We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were very nice, clean and the breakfast was great. The gentlemen who served us beer & pizza on our quiet New Years Eve was very helpful. The only thing is that the area of the hotel wasn't great. Thank you!

A nice, quiet hotel with wonderfully competent, friendly and very helpful staff. Room was excellent, could be bigger but for the price absolutely ok. Breakfast was good, lot of choice, clean, although I would suggest to use freerange eggs in future and offer hot eggs and not only cold eggs. The coffee was delicious!! Will definitely stay again when I am in Brussels.

Hotel is located in an "arabian" part of brussels, the surroundings not making an unsafe impression, but the way from the midi railway station to the hotel leads through not so nice city parts. Arrival was before check in, the "storage" of the baggage was behind the bar counter, not really feeling safe - better leave baggage at the railway stations locker, when on transit.

Very welcoming employee, always doing his best to help. Room was extremely quiet, but then I had a second stay with a more noisy room (on the street). Location is far from downtown and train station but it is still OK. Hotel is very clean, spacious room. Very good breakfast (included in price), complete buffet with very good quality products and nice presentation.

Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. We liked the location - international community, near a park, transportation easily accessed, felt comfortable walking from hotel to other locations as two women. Rooms were sunny, clean, roomy - quieter on the back side of the hotel. Food was great too! We would come back! Thanks, Robin and Mary from USA

The Hotel is ok (cf. my rating), only the lift did not always end up on the chosen floor. I was surprised to find the hotel in an Oriental type quarter which is not very attractive for tourists or business people.

We spent a night for a concert of Michel Sardou in the nearby (foot possible - 20 min) concert hall "Forest National". That was the reason for choosing this hotel. It is a good adress, clean, friendly and a very good breakfast (perhaps not for english travellers...). For us - germans - no problem. Car parking without probs at street direct by the hotel. After the concert no pub, brasserie or sowhat !!! We slept well. You too.

Grazie

Our first time stay at The Fierlant was a fine experience. Price/quality excellent, services friendly and helpful. Breakfast: a good selection of food. Trams and busses nearby. On internet we only missed the possibility to order a smoke free room. Only when settled in we noticed this facility. Thanks for a good stay!

The most pleasant part of our stay in Brussels was our time in the De Fierlant hotel. It was an extremely pleasant change for us, as we had been travelling in Europe for 6 weeks, as our room included a fridge, a kettle and tea-making facilities and a television that had some English-speaking channels - which we had not had experience of, up till then. We did not particularly like Brussels as a city so retired to our room early on both evenings there. The negative thing was the neighbourhood, described as 'quiet residential' in which I could not truthfully say we felt particularly safe, was not quiet and offered little in the way of reasonable restaurants. Public transport was reasonably close but not as close as indicated on the website. Luckily we felt comfortable in the rooms which we felt were very good value for money.
