Hotel Belmont has two good things going for it. It's a good location, close to Gare Nord/Gare Central. The metro stations Rogier is within walking distance. It's a short walk from the Grand Place, lots of shopping restaurants and all the major spots you want to hit. The other good thing is Umit, the day time manager. He is awesomely helpful, has a great smile and always makes you feel welcome. He goes the extra mile to help. He makes up for the rude, inattentive uncaring other staffers who work in the evenings and on weekends. He also makes up for the poor internet service. Internet was included in the price of the room. But connection is poor or nonexistent in the rooms. Many times I had to go outside the room to get a signal. When Umit isn't there, the place is crap. There's no one to answer questions or attend to your needs. One night I went for a walk. When I came back, the door was locked for security reasons. It was about 10:30 p.m. I rang the bell and knocked, no one answered. Other guests joined me, knocking the window, door and ringing the bell. When the so-called night manager opened the door 20 minutes later, he was all smiles. When I told him we had been waiting for 20 minutes, he said, "I' m the only one here. I was busy.'' No apologies for keeping us waiting. When you come downstairs and want to ask a question, the staff is so cold, you don't even want to bother them. Their body language says, "don't bother me.'' They barely look you in the eye. One manager was more interested in watching television than responding to my questions. The 24-hour reception desk does not exist. When we had problem with the internet, the manager on evening duty refused to help. He was all filled with excuses and very unapologetic. The night manager on Saturday seemed a bit engaged with me. I started to have a good feeling about him when he arranged a cab for me, but then he couldn't fix the internet. He told me he, too was out of internet. I told him the hotel wa

Good for any kind of travel you plan, even though you are a little far from the city centre. The hotel is near enough to the railway station.

Very conveniently located but immediate surroundings a bit dodgy. Soundproofing is poor (construction is of poor quality) so the rooms are somewhat noisy.

generally satisfactory. Front staff were excellent & helpful. Kitchen maid was the person from hell. She was sulky & unco-operative. B/fast hours were from 0700-1000 .If one appeared after 0900 often all the hot food was gone & she would not cook anymore--a shrug of the shoulders & " finished ". Totally unsatisfactory.

Overall I was not satisfied with this hotel. The directions to get there were poor - it is difficult to find unless you know exactly where you're going. For the price, breakfast was marginal at best. WIFI is an extra charge and given the price of the room should be included. The maid service through out some personal papers and some maps I was using to drive around europe. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone. There are better accomodations in better locations for the price.

The Belmont is an efficient hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and a decent continental breakfast. It's only 10-15 minutes' walk from the Grand Place and the other main sights - but there's not much of interest in the area before you've done that walking. On one side of the hotel there's the start of the skyscrapered business district. On the other side, there's a safe yet down-at-heel area with a few red lights. It didn't bother me, and I'd readily stay there again, but if you want nice views and restaurants right out of your front door, it's not the hotel for you.

Hotel Belmont did fine for stay and was clean and comfortable. Hotel seems to be on main road for emergency vehicles so could be noisy for some people but only really notice if not asleep

We were satisfied: the bad thing was the door closure: very disturbing for loud noise. Very good position of the hotel, nice welcoming and assistance.

Three day stay. Staff was very good. Spoke English which was a big help and were most friendly. Breakfast was very good. Internet available at reasonable rates. Walked to hotel from train station. Very centrally located for shopping and restaurants. Try La Melodie du Gou't just down the street.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Front desk service is generally good, in both french and english (don't know about other languages). The first night we were put in a room at the front and it was very noisy, but they changed us to a quiet room at the back for the remainder of our stay with no problem. The hotel fronts onto a main boulevard and new, high-rise office buildings, so I suggest it is more geared to business people. The immediate location is a main street, but the hotel is close to the Place Rogier subway (2 stops to the centre). You can also walk to the centre in 15 mins. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good.

The hotel probably had the most space of the 3 we stayed out while we were in Europe. The people were very helpful and friendly. The info on the website stated there was a bar - but there wasn't one. Also, the hotel was supposed to have A/C, but I could not get it to work. I think it is better for business travelers - restaurants, etc. closed early in the area.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good location for reaching one of the districts of the EU administration (Koning Albert II Laan is 3 minutes walking), also very close to the shopping area and 20 minutes walking from Grand Place. Metro station Rogier is 2 minutes away, North Station is in 10 minutes walking, all very practical. I would recommend the hotel for a business trip.

Small room, but nice hotel. Not in a great area, but it is close to the N train station. Just a 5-10 minute walk to many restaurants and shopping.

Very good welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Easy access to subway. Short walk to Grand Place. Only one negative thing I can say is about unreachable wireless network , even we were at the 1st floor. As they didn't made me pay for it, no problem. I would return with no hesitation.

For 90 USD/night, it was definitely worth it... for one person. Two people and two suitcases could not have fit in the room! I was nervous approaching the room from the narrow, dimly lit hallways and was pleasantly surprised with the looks of the actual room. The walls must be extremely thin because I could hear people unlocking the doors to there rooms but never actually hear conversation. There were unpleasant stains on the curtain liners so I closed the curtains and tried not to think about it. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was great. There is only one decent place to eat on the block but there is a nice grocery store across the street and Grand Place is a 20-minute walk.
