Floris Hotel Louise - Brussels

This hotel is very old and the rooms need to be "refreshinf", the windows don't close very well so we hear the noise of the street ...

The wireless connection is quite expensive, but the hole is in a good position, quiet and the rooms are clean.

Very big room but extremly dark, poor lightening

Old building, but new refurnishment. Wireless internet connection is not free. Very poor breakfast. Good rate, compared to Brussels average.

Very good Hotel

The rooms were a bit run-down, the elevator gave a fragile impression with strange sounds (always relieved to get to our floor!)

Our room had an intense cigarrete smell. Mattress on bed was the worst.

Arrivée très tard (1h30 du matin) à l'hotel Floris Louise après avoir averti à 23h de mon heure d'arrivée, je me suis retrouvée sans chambre dans cet hotel (overbooking mais à 23h on m'a dit qu'il n 'y avait pas de problème!), je n'ai pas eu d'autre choix que d'accepter la chambre que me proposait les employés (le patron) dans l'autre établissement Floris de Bruxelles (en plein centre ville, ce qui ne m'arrangeait pas du tout car je devais être du coté de Louise pas en centre ville!). Ayant de plus refusé que l'hotel me paye le taxi pour aller rejoindre cet autre établissement car ayant une voiture, le patron des 2 Floris a refusé, sous prétexte que j'avais refusé le taxi, de me rembourser les frais de parking en centre ville (28€ pour 2 nuits), frais que je n'avais pas du coté de Louise. Mauvaise organisation et mauvaise foi du patron, je déconseille ces 2 hôtels, même si par ailleurs ils restent des établissements corrects (pour le tarif que j'avais eu à 72€ la nuit)

We enjoyed a lot staying in Floris Louise. The personnel was very friendly and attentive. I happened to get a cold during my stay in Brussels, and the lady from the chief staff really took care of me with kindness and sympathy. Our room was spacious and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is in a fashionable shopping district and very close to metro. And the price was surprisingly low considering the very good quality of service and central location.

Very nice hotel

All was perfect. Very personnalised welcome, intimate atmosphere, spacious room, good meal. The only negative point was the fact that Wifi connection was payable.

Good hotel,but 3star not 4 star as advised. Good value

We were only staying here one night to save a really early train from Bruges to Charleroi. It served its purpose of a bed for the night in a very large room. The handle on the bathroom door came off though and there was a cracked tile protruding from the bathroom floor. It was pretty handy for the metro though - being only 5-10 minutes walk away and was really easy to find. No time for breakfast in the morning so can't comment other than it smelt nice :-)

The 4 star rating is an exaggeration - would rate this hotel as the equivalent of a good 3 star Parisian hotel. At 100euros/night with breakfast this hotel is quite good value for Brussels.

NICE PLACES

Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel more a basic 3 star.We arrived at 11pm and there was no where to get food or hot drinks.Our room was freezing although spotlessly clean as was entire hotel but sadly lacking any facilities expected in a 4 star hotel i.e room service,tea/coffee facilities,trouser press etc.

Excellent position just off the avenue Louise and very easy walking distance to the metro station. I would recommend hotel to business travellers as an alternative to the area around Midi station as a taxi between the two costs around EUR6 and Louise area is better served with restaurants, stores, etc.

Not for the high-tech business traveller (no internet connection, etc.) but very good quality for the price paid (100 Euro per night incl. breakfast).
