We stayed at the Hotel Floris Avenue for our first night in Brussels, before heading to Spa the next day for the F1 Grand Prix. The hotel room and bathroom was very spacious, and was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very tasty and there was a good selection. It was in a convenient location for a walk to the Grand Place and Mannekin-Pis, and was not too far from the Station Midi-Zuid.

Excellent option in Brussels. Good breakfast. Well located near the South Train Station and just 15 min walking from Market Place. We stayed only 1 night but I would come back. The only problem I found is that internet access is not included. It should be.

Hotel location is not bad, quiet and near to station Anneessens and walking distance to various tourists spots. Strolled to grand market within 15 mins or so. Parking slots along both sides of the road outside the hotel, pretty easy to obtain one both day and overnite. Rooms are clean, spacious and quiet from surrounding areas. But our room was right with the lobby counter, phone rings throughout the night and no one seems to pick up. Best thing about the hotel have to say is the breakfast. Not to expect huge varieties but cleanliness and freshness of food is excellent. The dinning area is decorated nicely with well co-ordinated colours.

The Floris Avenue is in keeping with its price range. It is a pleasant modern interior in an old Belgian building tastefully designed. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. The breakfast very good. Thye location is excellent being 0 minutes from the Grande Place etc. Reception staff were a little cold but efficient. The only down point was that it has a large bar which was not open. We returnede for a nightcap and were unable to buy a drink h=and had to resort to the usually over-priced mini bar in the room. A good hotel but I've stayed in others which though smaller and less stylish were much better value for the money

Very good value for the money. Easy walk to metro and centre - would not venture towards midi station in the dark. Room spacious, clean and quiet. Good breakfast and staff reasonably helpful. Would be happy to use this hotel again!

Had booked another hotel but agreed to move. Didn't think that the 'executive' room was worth the money. The room our friend booked didn't even have a phone. Disappointing experience overall

Hotel was great for us ... unbelievably spacious, recently remodeled and well appointed room and bathroom. Well located ... walking distance to good restaurants, and not too far from Grand Place. Hotel staff welcoming and provided all information requested. I would stay here again, no question.

Only a ten minute walk from the Grand Place or the Eurostar, this hotel may not be in the nicest part of town but I felt safe, even late at night. The hotel is an excellent choice for the price, I would happily stay there again.

About 10 minutes walk by the MIDI station. Modern, clean front desk and lobby. The room does not have the sense of quality, but it is wide and clean. Bathroom is clean and wide too. The amenity is the soap ,shampoo, shower gel of the fragrance of the green tea. Breakfast is good.

The Venere price (€79) was an excellent deal; the standard price was at least €170. The good 3 or 4 star hotel, but in a relatively rough area (take care when walking from the Gare du Midi to the hotel). In the morning, no taxi was available for 40 minutes, but this is a problem generally in Brussels, and not the hotel's fault.

The hotel seems on the map to be much closer to the Grand Place but in reality is a good 15 minute walk away. The street in which the hotel is located is dimly lit and a bit grotty and the hotel entrance is not very conspicuous. I arrived at about 8pm. The guy on reception was grumpy and not at all helpful. I asked him for a map of the area and he just put in front of me without a word and moved to something else. I had to ask him to point out where exactly the hotel was on the map. The room had everything the description said it would but the bed was soft and poorly dressed. It was more functional than attractive. Worth the 70 euro I paid for it but I would be disappointed if I was there on vaction or had to stay there for a longer period. Would stay again at that price but would check out alternatives first.

Exellent breakfast. Very good location: 10 minutes to either Station Midi or Grand Place. 5 minutes to Tram/Undergraound station. But heating in the room is not sufficient and the bath could have been better designed: there is no way to stop water spilled out when taking shower. Oh, the massage chair in basement is a good touch!

Fabulous breakfast- set us up for the whole day. Room was right beside reception therefore slightly noisy- could hear staff on the phone. Should've taken a taxi to the train station for the bus to the airport as there were a few undesireable characters hanging about at 5am. Hotel very nice, friendly and attentive staff- would use again.

Everything was very clean and modern. Room was very spacious and looked like it had been well maintained. The furnishings looked fairly new. Within an easy 15-20 minute walk to the main train station. Even with all my luggage, the walk was very managable.

The hotel is close to both the train station and only a short walk to the Grand Place. The hotel itself is very nice and seems to cater to business travel so it may not be the best tourist hotel. The only thing I did not like about the hotel is that it's in a somewhat dodgey part of town. There are probably a few blocks between the Grand Place and the hotel where I wouldn't really want to walk alone at night. With that being said the price was very reasonable and the rooms exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was also pretty good.

There is a sharp contrast between the neighborhood and the hotel interior. When you step inside the hotel is modern and well equipped. Outside the area seems old and run down.

The experience was good! They were very helpful trying to accomodate. Even though it is not located in the heart of Milan, it is fairly close to the central station and the metro. So, everything is easily accesible. The breakfast was OK, not the best, not he worst. They charged us $20 dollars to add a bed to the room. We had a reservation for 3 and we ended up being 4. They didn't have a big enough room for 4 but they allowed us to add one bed to the original room.

This hotel is located within walking distance from the city historical centre (approx 7-10 min walk); it is also very close to the Central Station, however, the surroundings are not very pleasant and do not give the impression that it is safe. Also, we were not able to check-in until 3.45 pm as the rooms were not ready. However, the luxury of the room compensates this initial inconvenience. If we go again to Brussels we will stay in this hotel.
