Almost everything about our stay was very good. The hotel looked very nice. The room was clean, spacious enough and close to the city centre and train station. The buffet breakfast was nice also. The one downside was that one young female member of the reception staff was consistently rude to us throughout our 2 night stay. She should be fired in my opinion. All other members of staff were very good.

Sorry quality of this hotel is far from being 4*. It is less than Ibis, due to fact that carpet is old and filthy, beds are old and sleep like hanging matrass, furniture is old, i.e. TV, empty minibar.

The only thing that was good about this hotel was it's location. It was loud, dirty, and unfriendly. I would not recomment this glorified hostel to anyone.

We were on the 6th floor and had a great view. Excellent breakfast, a little crowded with travelers, good if you arrive early. Location about 4 blocks from the Grand Place, everything within walking distance. The only things that were bad; 1. Room and hallways very hot day and night. This is when it was cool outside. No control over heating, which we were told that was off or broken. One week stay and we had the window open day and night just to moderate the heat. 2. Extremely noise area, police, ambulances and fire trucks all day and night with their sirens bypass the Hotel.

Nice hotel not far from Midi station (15-20 minutes walking) and from the centre. Very good price/quality ratio. Very good breakfast. The furniture in the rooms is old and shabby, but the room was quiet and clean. The welcome was not very prompt, we waited at the desk despite it was 1 am at night.

Room, breakfast and location - good. Could not believe a hotel can have "congress centre" in a name and no wireless internet in the rooms. Supposedly had wireless in the lobby, but could not connect. So was stuck with 2 dying ancient computers with extremly slow connection and a long line to access them.

The best hotel of our trip. A beautiful old world hotel. The rooms are huge with a queen bed and leather sofa and armchair and small table and two chairs which was great for dinner from room service the omolette and carbonara were great. Walking distance to Grand Place and shopping district. The Hotel has a fantastic bar area which we used each night and the retaurant is very good. We had three days here and had a lovely time. There are no restaurants or bars in the close vercinity. Grand Place would be the closest which is about a 10 min walk. There are beautiful public areas everywhere in this hotel lots of cosy little nooks with comfortable sofas and chairs and large sitting areas ideal for using a computer or reading. There is an internet room with two computers and is free. Breakfast was the best we had with a selection of bacon, scrambled eggs, pastries, breads, cereals, yoghurts, toast and juices.

Good location; close to the centre and not too far from the Eurostar station (within comfortable walking distance if reasonably fit). Also good access to public transport and just round the corner from the Mannequin Pis statue. We'd booked a double but were given effectively a suite - a double plus another small room with 2 beds. Checking in and out very swift with courteous staff using good Engish. No minibar, although we weren't too bothered, but there was a fridge. Good range of TV channels including BBC1 & 2. Quite good buffet breakfast (busy though) resulting in excellent value for money, notwithstanding the low rate of Pounds to Euros at the time!

Good located near the Grande Place on a street with many BD shops ( Bande Dessinée ). The nearest metro station is Annesseens. The hotel is quite old, but still good. Good continental buffet breakfast. There is free wi-fi connection in the hall and 2 computers in the small business center with fre access.

On arrival heating system of the room didn´t work (outside temperature -4!!!) the room was frozen. No offer to change the room, they brought a electrical heater after one hour. The room was suposed to be a bussines room with WIFI access. Only WIFI access on the lobby which is quiet important when you travel for bussiness. Very noisy. I will not repeat.

This hotel is in an excellent location and within walking distance to all the major attractions of brussels namely mannequin pis and the grand place. The hotel is clean and rooms are in good condition. We also got a very good continental buffet breakfast included in the price. It lives upto its standards of being a 3-4 star hotel.

Cheap, clean and includes a good buffet breakfast! It's a deal for the location which is just a short walking distance from Grand Place -- about 10 or 15 minute walk. The buffet included with the price of the room is quite a deal. It's more extensive that what you might normally expect from a meal that comes with a room. Great coffee. The decor in the room is from 1980 but all still functional and clean. The mattresses were soft and sunk in the middle. They were probably the same age as the furniture but were showing their age a bit more. It didn't bother me so much but it did our friends. We stayed during the weekend and the breakfast room seemed filled mostly to be families and groups of retired people. The staff were very competent and friendly at the front desk, in the breakfast room and the cleaning staff.

The public areas were grandiose & well appointed but the room was small, old & tired. The bathroom did not have a shower & no hand soap was provided. The room was a huge disappointment, not what was expected & overpriced for what it was. This was especially so compared to the hotels we stayed in in Amsterdam & Luxembourg. This was the first time we booked through Venere.com.

I chose this hotel partly for its location, being about 12 minutes walk from Bruxelles Midi (Eurostar) and less than 5 minutes from the Grande Place. My room was clean and spacious however, because it faced inside, it was quite dark and necessary to have the lights on; it was very quiet though. There was a good choice for the buffet breakfast.Overall I would recommend hotel and would stay there again if in Bruxelles.

An ideal location in central Brussels, convenient for Eurostar arrivals/departures. It is an interesting, 5 minute walk from the main square, but close to all major tourist sites. If you arrive before the room is available, luggage can be securely stored by the bell boy, likewise on departure. Hotel caters for the business traveller in the week but rates are reduced considerably at the weekend making it excellent value for a weekend break. Many facilities are excess to requirements if you only want a clean, safe place to sleep. Rooms are large, very clean and modern with safes at waist height rather than having to kneel down to accesss them). Breakfast is a massive hot and cold buffet. Reception staff are efficient and speek fluent English. They suggested an excellent restaurant, not in the typical tourist haunts, gave detailed directions and suggestions for walks and delt with admin issues promptly. Would certainly return.

We've stayed there for one night, the hotel was ok, our room was not 4stars by any chance, it was at most 3stars, but for 65e/night it was ok. Room was very very dusty, otherwise clean and all you need in it, though I didn't manage to connect to Internet throught the hotel wireless, I guess I had to pay extra and didn't bother to find out. I'd say it's ok for the price to stay a couple of nights there.

Excellent location. The availability of the parking garage so near to the Grande Place was the main reason why we chose this hotel. Very convenient. However, the beds are very old and borken down. Sleeping was quite uncomfortable. You could also hear a lot of noise from other rooms and the housekeeping ladies knock on the doors at 8 AM. Also, the breakfast seemed to be understaffed. They frequently ran out of items and seating.

Personal was not very nice, no similing. No hot water in bathroom, brrr. Shower curtain came down with its bar... Very small room, you nearly could not move between bed and wall. Breakfast was very well, American style with eggs and bacon.
