The location of the hotel was excellent. This October was quite unseasonably warm, so since the AC was turned off in the entire hotel, it was hot everywhere. We had to open the window, turn off the heat, and listen to the street noise at night. We asked for a fan, but none was provided. We got no response for our request.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August. The hotel was fairly easy to find and check in was fine. Hotel is very nice and our room was very spacious with a small balcony. The best thing was the huge comfy bed. Breakfasts were a bit hectic - very busy, not a huge choice but lot of it. Hotel is 5-10 minutes walk away from the Grand Place and ideally situated for seeing all the sites. Parking rates at the car park next to the hotel were as stated on their website however it was really unnerving as the head height is 1.8M - you can see where cars have tried and failed. Luckily it was only our aerial that rubbed against the roof. The car park is secure (we couldn't even get into it at one point) and fairly well lit and I didn't worry about the car being there at all. Would definately stay at this hotel again.

Good hotel not far from the city center. The common areas are very impressive and elegant, while the room is a little disappointing (apart from the bathroom, very good)... old fashion furnitures, traces of old pictures on the walls, very sadly empty fridge/minibar... it would need to be renovated in order to be a little more coherent with the common areas and the splendour of the external facade! In reason of that room, the payed price (159€) is a pretty high... At another level the breakfast, served in a large room, with plenty of choice (fresh fruits, croissant, yogurt, cereals, cold and hot bevarage, jams, cheese, ham, sausages,... anything you need).

Advantages: Very kind staff, very good buffet breakfast, excellent location very near (5-10 minutes) to Grand Place, no more than 15 minutes walking from Midi Station (Gare Zuid)excellent relation quality/paid price (€65/day). Disadvantages: Beds a bit soft and bended,it is necessary to be refurbished (it is on working).

Almost everything about our stay was very good. The hotel looked very nice. The room was clean, spacious enough and close to the city centre and train station. The buffet breakfast was nice also. The one downside was that one young female member of the reception staff was consistently rude to us throughout our 2 night stay. She should be fired in my opinion. All other members of staff were very good.

We were on the 6th floor and had a great view. Excellent breakfast, a little crowded with travelers, good if you arrive early. Location about 4 blocks from the Grand Place, everything within walking distance. The only things that were bad; 1. Room and hallways very hot day and night. This is when it was cool outside. No control over heating, which we were told that was off or broken. One week stay and we had the window open day and night just to moderate the heat. 2. Extremely noise area, police, ambulances and fire trucks all day and night with their sirens bypass the Hotel.

The best hotel of our trip. A beautiful old world hotel. The rooms are huge with a queen bed and leather sofa and armchair and small table and two chairs which was great for dinner from room service the omolette and carbonara were great. Walking distance to Grand Place and shopping district. The Hotel has a fantastic bar area which we used each night and the retaurant is very good. We had three days here and had a lovely time. There are no restaurants or bars in the close vercinity. Grand Place would be the closest which is about a 10 min walk. There are beautiful public areas everywhere in this hotel lots of cosy little nooks with comfortable sofas and chairs and large sitting areas ideal for using a computer or reading. There is an internet room with two computers and is free. Breakfast was the best we had with a selection of bacon, scrambled eggs, pastries, breads, cereals, yoghurts, toast and juices.

Good location; close to the centre and not too far from the Eurostar station (within comfortable walking distance if reasonably fit). Also good access to public transport and just round the corner from the Mannequin Pis statue. We'd booked a double but were given effectively a suite - a double plus another small room with 2 beds. Checking in and out very swift with courteous staff using good Engish. No minibar, although we weren't too bothered, but there was a fridge. Good range of TV channels including BBC1 & 2. Quite good buffet breakfast (busy though) resulting in excellent value for money, notwithstanding the low rate of Pounds to Euros at the time!

Cheap, clean and includes a good buffet breakfast! It's a deal for the location which is just a short walking distance from Grand Place -- about 10 or 15 minute walk. The buffet included with the price of the room is quite a deal. It's more extensive that what you might normally expect from a meal that comes with a room. Great coffee. The decor in the room is from 1980 but all still functional and clean. The mattresses were soft and sunk in the middle. They were probably the same age as the furniture but were showing their age a bit more. It didn't bother me so much but it did our friends. We stayed during the weekend and the breakfast room seemed filled mostly to be families and groups of retired people. The staff were very competent and friendly at the front desk, in the breakfast room and the cleaning staff.

The public areas were grandiose & well appointed but the room was small, old & tired. The bathroom did not have a shower & no hand soap was provided. The room was a huge disappointment, not what was expected & overpriced for what it was. This was especially so compared to the hotels we stayed in in Amsterdam & Luxembourg. This was the first time we booked through Venere.com.

I chose this hotel partly for its location, being about 12 minutes walk from Bruxelles Midi (Eurostar) and less than 5 minutes from the Grande Place. My room was clean and spacious however, because it faced inside, it was quite dark and necessary to have the lights on; it was very quiet though. There was a good choice for the buffet breakfast.Overall I would recommend hotel and would stay there again if in Bruxelles.

An ideal location in central Brussels, convenient for Eurostar arrivals/departures. It is an interesting, 5 minute walk from the main square, but close to all major tourist sites. If you arrive before the room is available, luggage can be securely stored by the bell boy, likewise on departure. Hotel caters for the business traveller in the week but rates are reduced considerably at the weekend making it excellent value for a weekend break. Many facilities are excess to requirements if you only want a clean, safe place to sleep. Rooms are large, very clean and modern with safes at waist height rather than having to kneel down to accesss them). Breakfast is a massive hot and cold buffet. Reception staff are efficient and speek fluent English. They suggested an excellent restaurant, not in the typical tourist haunts, gave detailed directions and suggestions for walks and delt with admin issues promptly. Would certainly return.

Excellent location. The availability of the parking garage so near to the Grande Place was the main reason why we chose this hotel. Very convenient. However, the beds are very old and borken down.
