Paid for a view on the canal but got a view on roofs. Have the feeling people were getting in our room because it was noisy. Shower and toilet in a tiny plastic box. The room on the canal has been offered to us was very dangerous with a metal stair specialy with wait shoes with the rain. Better if you have a rock sac to be able to hold. Very good breakfast

Clean & tidy with an excellent location for exploring the "sights" of Brugge. The breakfast was particularly good & secure parking is available nearby costing €8 for a 24 hr period.

Good for the price and, maximum one/two nights stay. We stayed four nights and left with a feel of liberation. Bathrooms are ridiculous (a fiberglass little box with virtual door) They say better bathrooms exist... A completely abandoned reception. Of course NO room service. Forget Wifi: weak or inexistent signal. They say in other parts of the hotel signal is ecellent... And "canalview" means some windows look at water. Only water, no splendid villas or superb urbanistic. Spend 10% more and get something more "hotelly".

This is a charming hotel, just on the edge of the main tourist area, so not noisy. It was easily accessible by bus from the train station. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard in the late afternoon sun, and we loved the breakfasts. Good restaurants nearby - we enjoyed Ryad - Moroccan.

Awesome hotel by the canal. Close to all the main attractions. Very good breakfast. Very comfy beds. The only minus: bathroom the size of a small wardrobe, some might say it is quite cute, definitely made myself and my friends laugh a lot but it was a bit uncomfortable and embarrassing at times. All in all one of the nicest budget hotels I stayed in years. Thank you.

It was a nice and small hotel in an old building, hence the room was not that quiet. The bathroom was incredibly small and nothing for a larger or bigger person but sufficient for smaller people. The room was clean, the staff very friendly.

Fabulously central. I'm not sure I would have wanted to stay more than the couple of nights I did nor share my room with someone else (even a really good friend) mainly because (as many reviewers have said) the bathroom including shower, sink and toilet is about the size of some people's whole shower room but with a less solid door! However, my bed was comfortable, the breakfast was fine, the receptionist helpful and the location ideal for me. (BTW there isn't an option on this feedback survey to choose that you travelled with one other friend who is not related to you and had a separate bedroom)

A delightful hotel only a few minutes walk away from the main square. My room had a lovely canal view, and although I was there in February, the room was cozy and warm. The bathroom was tiny but marvelously clean and efficient. The staff was friendly, and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious with ample choice. Do check out the very quaint and friendly Cafe Terrastje just down the street for an excellent lunch or dinner. Highly recommend both hotel and cafe!

The staff and the location were great. The room was fine; however I was suprised re: the bathroom (a modular unit rahter than a room) Good value none the less. The breakfast was outstanding.

The location of the hotel is about as good as it gets. Right on a canal and a 5-min walk to the city hall square. The staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. Best of all: I left my Kindle in the room and only notice a day later when we were back in Germany. Called the hotel. They found it and shipped it to me in just a couple days! Was very thankful for that. My only complaint would be the bathrooms. Very small and not very private. But if you don't mind that it's a great hotel and great location for the price! I'd stay there again.

very helpful staff, good breakfast and great location. I don't generally have a problem with noise but the walls at this hotel must be paper thin. We could hear next door chatting (they weren't shouting) and upstairs snoring. If you are unlucky with your neighbours, it would be horrible.

Some of the rooms, specifically those in the new block with rooms overlooking the canal, have tiny bathrooms which some guests were unhappy with. However, I was in one of the older rooms, and the bathroom was fine! The buffet breakfast was excellent - as much as you want, and a good selection to choose from.

This was my daughter's and my first visit to Brugge for a couple of nights. Ter Reien is in the perfect location to wonder and explore while walking to the customary points of interest. I loved sitting across the street on the public bench overlooking a canal - just so beautiful. Easy peaceful walk home after dinner out at a variety of locations at any time of the night.

The hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. The rooms were nice, some small, some large. The breakfast was very good, plenty of food, tea and coffee. The hotel was in a great location. The bathrooms were very small asothers have commented but you get used to this quickly.

This is a good hotel in an excellent location. The staff were polite and efficient. The rooms were pretty basic, but clean and comfortable. There have been some negative comments about the tiny 'bathrooms', which were indeed tiny. However, the shower was surprisingly hot and powerful, and if you visit Bruges I'm sure it isn't to spend time in a bathroom. We were worried about parking as our car with roof-box was too tall for the recommended train station car park. However, we temporarily parked right outside the hotel (not a problem - nice and quiet, easy city to drive in), and the staff told us we could unpack our suitcases and leave them in a room behind reception. We then drove to just outside the city and parked on the outskirts - you'll see the cars parked alongside the canal around the city walls as you drive in. As far as we could tell, it was free parking (no meters visible, no-one seemed to have a ticket on display and we didn't get a parking ticket the next morning). It was a ten minute walk (and very pretty, alongside the canal) back to the hotel. The location of the hotel is the biggest plus point. Minutes away from the centre, and situated on a pretty canal. We had a canal view, which was very nice. We travelled with three teenagers, and they had a triple room which was fine and on the floor above ours. Bruges was perfect for them -they loved it. If you're taking teenagers have a meal at 'Ribs N Beer' - perfect!

The room was fine, however the toilet was not to be imagined. It was so small and required a step up and the shower was very tiny. It was like an afterthought added to the room. The room was fine and the price was good and the breakfast was delicious so that made up for the toilet and shower. The location was ideal too.

We stayed one night here and it was perfect for us. We had asked for a room towards the canal which we also got. Very nice view and a very nice room. It was just a short walk to the big square. We did not get the very best recommendations in the reception for restaurants. Not so easy to find a parking place for the car. If we come back to Brugge we will certainly stay here.

We had a room overlooking the canal and it was amazing! I would definitely stay here again. The hotel itself was quiet but we were disturbed by groups shouting in the street late one weekend night...not the hotel's fault at all. Wonderful place.

We stayed at the hotel from 1 February to 5 February. It was not very convenient that the receptionist works till 9 PM. Furthermore the lady on duty was not very friendly and helpful. First she refused to print a train timetable for us. We had nealy blocked sin in the room, the receptionist said that she would leave the message but no actions followed during 3 days. Then we had the voucher for a taxi and asked her to call in the taxi for us using the telephone number on the vaucher we had but she refused to do that and said to us that they usually call the taxi by e-mail, which seemed strange for us but we agreed. We checked out 20 minutes before the time of arrangement with taxi to take some pictures of the surroundings but the lady said that the taxi was waiting for us. We didn't know what to do and she adviced us to leave a bit earlier, use different route and see some windmills nearby. I asked her about the price and she said that Brugges is a smal town and everything is in a small distance. She offered to pass our order to taxi driver in case he doesn't know English. Finally we paid more than double price not to mention that we had a discount voucher which appeared to be for another company. This accident spoiled our impression of the wonderful town.
