Explore Bruges at its best in just a few steps!

There's no denying the charm and appeal of this wonderful Flemish city, which is why even a walk within the neighborhood of the Hotel De Goezeput in Burges will have you wondering why you’ve never visited it before. Perfect for the modern romantic, guests of this affordable quality central Bruges hotel can get all the comforts of home within the hotel and all the charm of the old world within the neighborhood. This Belgian hotel proves itself to offer a perfect mixture for the contemporary traveler seeking a quiet haven in a traditional setting.

Chocolicious!

Be sure to get a seat by the modern fireplace in the De Goezeput lounge, where guests can sit and relax and compare hot air balloon photos, or reminisce over the many variations of chocolates tasted on the trip. You’ve spent your day at a Bruge museum, basilica or on a walk throughout town, now sit down and enjoy the simple comforts that only a contemporary hotel in Bruges can offer.

Belgium of course is famous for its cuisine and chocolate, and no visit to the country is complete without sampling some of its famous produce. Belgium is particularly known for its world class chocolate and it's the chocolate which all other standards are measured against. What makes Belgian chocolate different? The fact that, even in today's automated society, it is still made by hand. Scattered throughout Belgium you will find many small shops using original hand ways of producing the chocolate. These small shops are very popular with tourists visiting the country.

Snacks on the go such as French fries wrapped in a paper cone and served with a huge dollop of mayonnaise are also popular in Belgium, along with the famous Belgium Waffle which is often eaten as a snack from street food vendors. Another popular dish among locals is mussels and French Fries or Moules-frites (French). The city of Bruges was also famous for its lace manufacturing, and some street stalls today can be still seen selling pieces of lace to visitors to the city.

We stayed 3 nights and would definitely return. We did switch from our original room (#1, I believe) which was directly on the sidewalk at street level and noisy, to room 8 which was upstairs and much quieter. Wonderful breakfast and staff.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were 4 women staying in the family room...it was spacious, comfortable, charming and clean. We loved the common area and really enjoyed the breakfasts. It easily accommodated a gluten free and vegetarian diet. Would stay there again. Great location also.

Hotel very central, short walk from railway station. Room small nowhere to put case but had a nice ensuite. Staff helpful, breakfast had plenty of variety and nicely presented. Added bonus free internet. Very suitable for single woman traveller.

An excelent choice, we couldn't arrive at time, we arrived at 1 am, they gave us the main door code and left the keys on the front desk! The breakfast is good, with eggs and a lot of choices. The room was perfect, clean and good bed!, and the hotel is two blocks away from the downtown.

It was being renovated and half the things in the room (lights / tv etc) were either not fixed or not working.

Fabulous. Only disappointment was that we arrived during a quiet period and the bar/lounge area was closed. It was such a lovely area we were all looking forward to using it and didn't have an opportunity. A wonderful hotel. Great for a family.

hotel is centrally located, rooms were clean and warm however the interior decoration is 'sparse' and frankly verges on the depressing. Breakfasts were good quality and plentiful, plenty of hot water so if you can close your eyes to the battleship grey paint its OK.
