The hotel is not downtown but with bus and tram is very easy to reach the center

The room is quite small but nice but the rudimentary bathroom should be repainted.

The staff at the hotel were friendly, courteous and competent. Upon arrival there was a technical issue with the lighting in the room. This was promptly resolved. The hotel offers basic services, the (smallish)room was clean and the bed comfortable. We did not use the buffet breakfast as we were visiting family. The hotel provided exactly what we expected. None of the negative comments on tripadvisor applied to our stay. The rooms are quiet but not soundproof in terms of neighbouring rooms. The hotel was built in the late 80's and any shortcomings seem to result from architectural concepts at the time. (We know Bruges well and I remember it going up). If you have to catch a ferry from Zeebrugge the hotel is easy to reach and on the direct travel route. Arrive a day early, visit Bruges and avoid motorway stress. For chocolate go to "Verheeke" in the Steenstraat and on a nice day, it is worth visiting the woods and castle in the "Tilleghem Bos" domain near the hotel. "Van 't Vat" is a fantastic little shop in the Smedenstraat (just outside the Smedenpoort - one of the fabulous town gates)where you can get exquisite port, whiskey and wines "from the barrel".

We only stayed for one night but if we were to return to Brugge we would definitely use venere and this hotel. It was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and best of all we felt we received good quality for the price asked. Well done!

This is the most unfriendly hotel I have ever been to. Privatley owned and run it should be better but we were very disapointed. The breakfast was also the worst we had in two weeks staying in Belgium & Germany. If you can somehwere else, go there.
