I was there with my partner. We found the hotel quiet except for occasional late night/early morning street noise. We would have liked a coffee-making facility in the room, and bigger bath towels! We also noticed that there was no fire escape procedure posted in the room. Overall however, we enjoyed our stay

The location was very good and the staff very friendly. The room was tiny and not very clean but for a short stay is good.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Clean rooms, nice breakfast and it's a great base to explore Bruges. However it is located opposite a few noisy pubs/clubs which were playing loud music all night long. This may be just a weekend thing and we were at the front of the hotel which may have been noisier. We only stayed 2 nights and slept ok but light sleepers should maybe request quieter rooms!

You can't beat the location (*) yes, the breakfast could be a little better (*) yes, the city map provided by the hotel could be better as well (they gave us a black and white copy, the quality wasn't excellent so it was really hard to read the street names) (*) yes, we heard our neighbours going to the toilet, or even walking in the room above. (*) but it was right in the center of everything. and it was clean. (*) will I stay there again? for this price - yes.

We were so impressed with the fantastic location of this hotel ( round the corner from the Grote Markt) that we overlooked a certain element of 'shabby chic'- past its heyday in the days of the Grand Tour of Europe. But comfy and clean and a nice breakfast.

Fantastic older hotel right in the centre of Brugge. The service was friendly and there was a great breakfast served in a lovely room. The room was very large and spacious, older, but very clean and comfortable. I would return to this hotel for my next stay in Brugge.

The facilities within the hotel were fine, with a very convenient and central location. Unfortunately the "Nocturn" night club is situated very close in the same road and which operates into the early hours of the morning. Despite efforts of the hotel staff and the local police our room on the street side at ground level was too close!! If you do stay here make sure you ask for a room on the garden side.

The hotel was on a really nice location, close to the centre. Breakfast was really nice. However we booked a non-smoking double room and we got a smoking room with four seperate beds. It was also a bit noisy. no noise from the street, but from other rooms (people walking and talking) and the running water through the pipes. When these problems will be solved, it would be an excellent hotel to stay.

The Hotel Memling is ideally located near the main square. This is for sure not a 4 star but rather a 3 star. The price was however good for the quality. Two main nuisances in this hotel which is getting quite old and needs some renovation : - there is no air conditionning - the street on which our room was located is full of noisy night bars Result : if the weather is warm and you have to open the windows you cannot sleep. In addition the rooms are not sound-proof. Our neighbours upstairs came back late and started to put the radio on very loudly. We called the receptionist who immediately reacted to stop the noise. The hotel Memling is very well located and cheap but frankly I am not sure I will get back there next time I stay at Bruges.

Very pleasant hotel in the centre of Brugge. Rooms are typically smallish but quite comfrtable and clean - we would stay here again should we return to Brugge.

We had a small studio in a seperate building at the back of the hotel beside the patio. This was quiet and very suitable for my daughter and I in June. However it might be noisier at the patio in July and August.

Staff very helpfull and knowledgeable, accomodation clean, comfortable and very warm. Tea and coffee making facilities would have been a nice touch in the room. Rooms on west side a bit noisy due to the local buses using the side street. Breakfast choice catered for all tastes and was plentyfull, would recomend this Hotel for anyone staying in Brugge for its Central location and make sure you do the City Tour well worth it then walk it. The Argentine Grille close by is well worth a visit as is Kok au Vin restaurant.

Maybe the 138 wasn't their best room (small with large bathroom not in good shape) and eggs at breakfast could be a lot better (as the fruit juices) but the center is so close (really two steps) and Bruges overall so nice. Deserve the week end. A romantic one.

Good value hotel, but there were a number of children staying in the hotel. Combined with not very sound proof walls made for some earlier than expected mornings.

Centrally located. Within walking distance of everything. Very spacious, clean, quiet, large bathroom. They gave us a bigger room than we even asked for. Concierge was extremely helpful and pleasant. Only negatives were no on sight parking and it was very hard to find! Enjoyed our stay the most there out of all the hotels we stayed in Europe.
