. I stayed here whilst visiting my daughter in hospital. The owners made me fill very welcomed. I needed to stay on longer than expected which was not a problem and kept open until she could go home. This is a very nice place to stay with wonderful views and the sounds of the birds singing. I found a pathway close to the edge of the woods to walk into the town so I did not have to walk on the road although there is a bus service should you not want to walk. This was my first time here and I would highly recommend staying here especially if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle.

A little, nice hotel, old fashioned but inviting. Family-owned. A fair price for what you get. You need a car or a motorbike to go to Bressanone (2km far, but there is a quite hard slope to reach the hotel) and you can recover it in a quite large garage (I was by motorbike). Breakfast is good, but not excellent.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days, all the family with 3 little children. We enjoyed our stay very much. The view from the rooms was outstanding. All the rooms had a very nice and big terrace. The restaurant inside the hotel is really recomended. We certainly would return there.

My family and I spent a night at the Waldheim-Belvedere and I must say we were very impressed with the location and the hotel. We originally chose the hotel because of the price (86 Euros) and the decent reviews on Trip Advisor, but on to the hotel. The location is outside of Brixen on the heights overlooking the city and right across a valley which has a rushing waterfall. I mention this because we heard the rushing water all night. We loved it but some might not...We arrived at night, were promptly shown to our room, and then went back to the hotel dining room for dinner. The room we had (108) was very impressive...it was large (the bed seemed like a king), was immaculately clean, had a large bathroom, and a huge, and I mean huge, balcony. So huge that it felt you could almost hold a little party on it and definitely a good place to hang out and take in the majestic views of the valley across. I must add that the hotel's restaurant was very good and probably has some local renown as it was packed with people during the time we were there. In closing, this hotel is one of those places that you don't think much of until you stay there and then you realize what a nice place it is. We will be back!

All rooms have a balcony, with great views. Restaurant is excellent and the terrace overlooking Brixen is great. We had dinner on the terrace. Free internet. If you are not driving note that it is not walkable from the train station. There is a bus which stops near the hotel. Find out which bus it is before you travel there.

This is a really lovely hotel - nice comfortable rooms, helpful, friendly staff and a gorgeous environment. Near to Bressanone - a 15 minute walk from the town centre - but also lovely and quiet up in the forest surrounded by trees, birds, the river and nature. I ate there several times and the food was the typical excellent fare you get in any good Italian restaurant, and mostly better than I had anywhere else in the town. Will definitely stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Nice hotel and very friendly owners. They couldn't speak very well english, but their German was fine. Hotel is good to reach with a shuttlebus to city center. You get a free buspass also. Food is relative cheap, and very good!

This was the best hotel in our 3-week tour of Italy! Quaint little out of the way family-run gem in the hills outside Brixen. Restaurant is excellent, service is excellent. The only negative thing I could say is there is a slight language barrier. We speak English and they speek German/Italian. The son is a great translator!

Out of town a bit. Plain, but clean...nothing fancy. Not much sound-proofing between rooms. Good restaurant. Hosts not overly friendly. We realized after we left we were charged for three alcoholic beverages on our dinner tab that we did not order or drink. Maybe an honest mistake...but....gives one pause.

It has a very quiet location in the countryside outside Bressanone (Brixen) with beautiful views. A car or taxi is necessary to reach it. We only stayed overnight but would happily have stayed longer of we had the time. We thoroughly recommend it to anyone travelling by car.

PROS: Personnel is friendly. Dogs are welcome. The onsite restaurant is very good, and the pizzas are exceptionally good. CONS: In winter, if you don't have a car it's not easy to reach the center of Bressanone. Contrary to what the Venere website says, there is no shuttle service to and from the train station of Bressanone. Taxi is about 10 euros each way.

Very nice small hotel, we used it as an overnightstand on the way to Umbria, but with the possibility to eat a very very good pizza in the hotels own restaurant it was a very good experiance.

It was a pity that we only stayed for traveling through to our ski-area (St. Ulrich / Ortisei), since Hotel Waldheim was a very good location for a long stay on its own. It is located in a beautiful place in the forest, good for hiking trips for instance. The hotel employees where very friendly, and you can comminicate in English, German and Italian. Good in-between stop for traveling through by train to ski Area Val-Gardena / Dolimiti Superski. From the train station you can take the bus are the taxi (= 13 euro only). The ski-bus goes from Brixen/Bressanone to Ortisei and even to Wolkenstein/Selva (1 hour).

The hotel would have been great, if only the welcoming of the staff would have been a bit more friendly. We rather felt unwelcome during all days, which is reason enough to not return to this location and pick another place for the next South Tyrol vacation.

Definitely choose the Waldheim-Belvedere when visiting Bressanone and the Dolomites. We stayed 3 nights (one extra) because it was such a perfect place. The hotel is attractive and fresh, the restaurant very good (especially the pizza), and the setting is peaceful and beautiful right outside the small city of Brassanone. The family-owners and staff give friendly, personal attention. We were able to visit the local mountain areas each day, then return to the hotel for delicious dinners and a comfortable room.
