Our room faced out onto the airconditioning so no view and was noisy. Window did not open far enough why do hotels always think we want to jump out of the windows mad - they could open more and be just as health and safetly friendly - honestly! But the aircon noise needs to be resolved.

This is our second stay at the Grand .The staff are exceptional friendly and very professional.We were upgraded to a beautiful room which was wonderful!We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the seafood restaurant looking out to sea can't wait to return . First class!

I took my mum to Brighton for a very quick but relaxing visit and was undecided on the hotels to pick - I jumped from one hotel to the next - but I am glad that I went with my gut by booking The Grand Hotel. The staff were very welcoming, we arrived at 12noon and our room was available which was great, the receptionist gave us a map for finding the shops and the famous Lanes - we then had cocktails in the bar, I have had a fair few mojito's in London cocktail bars but I have to say the mojito at The Grand was fantastic - the bar man was brilliant ! The breakfast was good lots to choose from, we were original seated towards the back of the breakfast room but I asked if we could move, they cleared a table and we sat eat breakfast looking out onto the seafront. We will definitely come back again and fingers crossed next time we can get a sea view room Thank you for a lovely stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and the hotel is as per the name very grand! The concierge stay are a credit to the hotel I'd particularly like to mention Colin, who was very polite, helpful and friendly. I left that the cost for the room I stayed in, Room 201, was a little over priced due to the noise from the huge generator/air conditioning unit outside the window. I was also slightly disappointed to have to queue for breakfast in the morning of 23rd Mar. I understand that the hotel was busy however I feel that a hotel of this stature should have planned for th demand as the hotel was full, and more seating could have been prepared for guests in advance. Otherwise I enjoyed my experience at the hotel.

My only previous visit to Brighton was Feb 2012 for family function, staying in a different hotel. The weather was horrific. This did not deter my wife and I wishing to re-visit at the height of summer. We have just enjoyed 7 days of non-stop heat and sunshine; The Grand is an excellent luxury hotel which we enjoyed very much. I must comment on the fact that our beautiful sea view room did become oppressively hot with only one small window. The hotel did not hesitate to supply a fan and portable air con device that helped a little bit. An air conditioned room would be the only thing that would have made our week perfect.

The only problems we had was the noise from outside the window all night from a generator? overall score would of been higher if the room was quieter The iron had bare wires we meant to mention this to reception as possible risk of electric shock. From the moment you pull up you are made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. All of your staff were completely approachable, friendly and professional The hotel has a few cracks but given the age and history of the building its to be expected We felt that the price was maybe a little excessive for a room with windows that have window film tint on and no view at the back of the building. But enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to family,colleagues and friends We would defiantly stay again

Room poorly dusted. Disapointed that room not ready earlier than 3pm, as promised,as had to attend function at 3pm, although receptionist did obtain a room early after discussion. Also dissapointed room not sea facing as requested, but next to pigeon infested courtyard. Had to request twice for the missing bathrobe. Overall furnishings battered and a bit shabby. T.V. v. old fashioned, comparing unfavorably with hotels stayed in in France. Parking too expensive. Lovely big room and bath room. V. nice toiletries. Thank you for the Easter egg. Great breakfast. Staff warm and polite.
