this hotel is quite far away from the city center and as slovakian taxi drivers cheat as soon as they identify you as tourist (we paid 20 Euros for 5 kilometres to get to the hotel from the city center though a slovakian friend of ours told the driver where to bring us - they use no taxometer so they tell you any fantasy price) it would have costed us the same money to take the 5 star Sheraton Bratislava Hotel including breakfast (this room we booked without brakfast for 36 Euros) located directly at the danube in a beautiful and secure area. The part of the city where the Hotel Turist is located is not only kilometres away from the city center but also dirty and a place where you shouldn't move around as a tourist at night. It was very loud during the night too becase you have a lot of traffic there. The hotel room was ugly with dirty carpets on the floor and dirty bathroom and toilet! It was really ugly to spend the night there and as we woke up the next morning the only thought was to leave this hotel as soon as possible...
