I was travelling with my husband as a New Year break. Bratislava is a great destination for New Year celebrations and the Hotel Devin is full of charm and character. The hotel's facilities were excellent but in places the hotel has begun to look a little tired.

Upon arriving at the hotel I had a problem with the taxi that was obviously overcharging me. I asked at the reception for an idea of what the price should be-the lady at the reception was very helpful and gave me very good advice about taking taxis in the future. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very attentive!

Excellent breakfast at the hotel, no -fuss, low key service, friendly and clean. You really feel you are in Bratislava, the hotel has a local feel.

Worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. f Iknew then what i now know about this hotel I wolud choose to stay in a hostel at least there you get what you pay for. At € 300 for 2 nights Ishould have walked out. Unfortunatly they would charge me for one night anyway. This is the problem with pre booking by Credit Card on the net.

The staff, especially at the reception, was average. The rest of the experience was average too. The rooms are clean, and the inside of the hotel could be superb after renovation.
