On arrival I asked the situation regarding parking and was told the the hotel could park the car for me for £20 or I could use the adjacent public car park for £4 I opted to use the public car park. It was 7 pm and I had to pay approx £4.60 to park beyond 11pm then it had to be topped up for overnight £1 till 8am then needed to be topped up at 8am for the morning costing me approx 1 £10 in total and involving a lot of stress and going backwards and forwards to the car park late at night and early in the morning! The shower in our room was a scolding dribble of water. We had a buffet breakfast and the majority of the cooked food was dried out and Luke warm.

What a dump! Though it must have been quite a place in its prime. Given the price paid I didnt expect a four star standard, but what I got was awful. My room had no windows only a skylight with no blind and when it rained it sounded like sleeping in a drum it was so noisy. As for breakfast, save your money and find a café!

The room was quite small and at the front of the hotel, as the weather was warm we had to open the windows which meant it was rather noisey.

This used to be a fantastic hotel but has been utterly RUINED by Britannia. To see what was once a special experience reduced to one where cost is the only consideration and customers irrelevant, is very sad. They ignored any simple special requests. They have converted cupboards to rooms - some with no windows! Food reflects the same comments.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel and was very pleased with the staff service on arrival and departure, found the parking to be very highly priced for overnight, the room we were allocated was very small and my other half found the bath tiny. The room was not that quiet which was disappointing and was woken early with neighbours banging their doors. Overall we loved the hotel was just hoping for a better size room. We travel alot together to hotels and would deffo come here again.

I was really disappointed with my stay at the Royal Bath, I had heard such good things about it from family and friends who live in the local area but I can honestly say the hotel is very tired, the hotel came under scrutiny when the IMAX was built and they lost a star but I honestly don't think that this made any difference. The hotel definitely caters for a particular clientele. The room was very small and had far too much furniture in it, it was also extremely cold and I had to use the heater (that had already been provided in the wardrobe) to keep the room warm. There were no finishing touches, it felt very dated and I was really surprised as the location of the hotel is perfect. I felt the poor porter was a jack of all trades and was obviously run off his feet as he was trying to park cars, move luggage and deal with customers.
