This is a very well situated hotel in a great resort. We had a room on the second floor (room 23) at the side of the hotel with a sea view from the balcony - just as described. The beach is just the other side of the road. There are great beaches all along the coastline - our favourite was the next beach to the left, round the bay - at St Clares - sea beautiful and blue and clear and shelves out gradually - great for kids. The owners and other lady on reception were very friendly and helpful. We only took breakfast on the first day. It is served in a lovely area overlooking the sea - but there is a patisserie just around the corner so we didn't bother with breakfast again. Parking is just along the road on the opposite side. There is a fab bar nextdoor where you can watch the world parade by. Loads of shops too. It is a very french resort which was nice - but means that menus etc are not necessarily translated - fun! There are loads of restaurants to choose from. Great hotel, great location, great resort.

Bright, welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. Room was airy and incredibly clean, one of our most spacious for this price range during our entire vacation. We requested an ocean view room, though the balcony overlooked rooftops...we were able to lean out and see beach and boats. Great shower. Bed was a little stiff, which was par for the course everywhere we stayed in France, Italy and the UK for the same rate. The breakfast was simple yet delightful... Very pleasant and competent staff who were great help in a time of crisis when my credit card had been lost, and a new one needed to be mailed to the hotel, then forwarded to us in Paris. Would absolutely return to Espadon!

The owner was very gracious. The room reserved was a sea view which was really a side room. We upgraded to a front sea view. This I feel was a mis-representatin by Venere. I would have been disappointed if there had not been a front sea room available since that was what I anticipated. It was pouring rain so we did not get a good look a Le Lavandou. I was traveling with my sister, brother-in-law and my husband.

Excellent quality/price. Everything exactly as described on the web page, great location, very good breakfasts, the restaurant they recommended was brilliant. Highly recommended, a 'stand-out' on this part of the coast.

The location is excellent. A clean family run hotel of higher standard than officially quoted. Only problem was a lack of parking which proved to be a problem as a jet ski event took place the same week-end. Otherwise excellent.

Room with seaview, yes, a litle bit. A mini balcony on the Eastside and a small street. Not satiesfied, I was sure there should be something in the front. Expensive, we could have had similar room with better terrace for 25 Euros less in the neighbourhood.

We stayed for 4 nights in September. It was great. Better than expected. The hotel is right in the heart of the village with the beach just across the small street. The service is great, the owners provide a calm environment and speak good english. The only problem we had was with transport from /to Toulon airport. The bus service is weekend only at this time of year. But the hotel and the location are fantastic.

This hotel was certainly a very pleasant surprise. We stayed in Le Lavandu afer spending 4 days in Paris and then 2 days in Avignon in the middle of a two week vacation in France. First, the room was very large compared to the two other hotels we had stayed in during this trip. It was actually very close to North American standards. We booked online so were not able to book the better rooms (with ocean view) ... but this didn't make a difference to us (we found out we could have called in). Price ration excellent, Staff more than excellent and helpful, clean quiet. The hotel is excellently located on the strip in this charming village (near everything and everyone). Parking was tough but you can't have everything (the street was always packed). Would definitely reccomend this place to anyone going in this region and would also reccoment the region as a place to visit.

La Lavandou and the Espadon were great--getting there is another story. Traffic was really bad once we got off the highway, and we were taveling on the off season! We can't imagine what the crowds are like when it's busy. The hotel is nicely situated, next to City Hall and right across the street from the Med Sea, with a very nice, sandy beach. Parking could present a challenge (in fact, we do not know where one would park in season since there are parking regulations in effect, and it is probably very hard to get a spot in any case). We had booked a double room with a sea view, but since the hotel was quiet, the owners bumped us up to a larger room with a wonderful balcony overlooking the harbor (and we didn't even have to ask). Room was spacious and so was the bathroom, although there seemed to be a problem with water pressure in the toilets (we heard bubbling when the upstairs guests flushed...). Breakfast was the standard continental, but the breakfast room is great--looks over the harbor too. Probably very noisy in season, but great for us. Try out the funky psuedo-italian place on the street behind the main walk (turn left out of the hotel and take the first left up the back street--it's just up past the first turn on your left)--great food and a really good dinner special.
