I got a very good rate through Venere and my travel plans were so fraught with problems, I stayed longer in the hotel and the rate went up to the regular rate for the extra days I was there. It's hard for me to consider whether this was a good deal or not, for the dollar was so weak that everything was extremely expensive. This is a very old fashion hotel (reminds of the 50's with a Victorian touch)with friendly staff, beautiful grounds and a 10 minute walk to the sea. My single room was tiny with a balcony and great view. I saw some double rooms and for an European hotel were good size. The staff at the resturant were wonderful, food only so-so and again at the current exchange rate very expensive - $32-40 for dinner for one. I took my dog with me and he was very welcomed in the hotel and they let me take him into the dining room in his carrier. Bordighera is a beautiful small city, resort for the French and Italians, I think I was the only American in town.

How to reach Hotel Astoria

By car
Leaving the motorway A10 exit at Bordighera, drive down to via dei Colli and reach via Romana. Halfway of this avenue, 100 meters after the famous villa of italian queen Margherita di Savoia, you will find on the right the small and narrow street Via Tasso, that leads to our private car-park.

By train
Arriving from Bordighera train station drive up Corso Italia. At the end you reach via Romana and turning left, after meters 100, you will find on the right via Tasso and the Hotel Astoria.

METHODS OF PAYMENT
Venere.com does not debit your credit card for your reservations. You will be asked to insert your credit card details which will be sent to the property only as a guarantee of the reservation. The bill will then have to be settled directly at the hotel. In case your chosen hotel needs a deposit, this information will be included in the "Cancellation policy" section and the deposit will have to be settled directly with the pre-selected property. It is not possible to cancel your reservation if you selected and booked a room indicated as "PREPAID/NOT REFUNDABLE". In this case, the total amount of your stay will be charged to your credit card by the hotel at the time of booking.

Check-in: the rooms are available at anytime after midday.
Check-out: it is necessary to leave the rooms not later than 11 a.m.
