Unfortunately the hotels restaurant was closed on the evening we stayed so we had to find a restaurant in the town, which we were given directions and help for. However, if we had been tiered and wanting to eat in, we could not have done so. This also meant there was no room service.

The map provided is VERY VERY VERY bad. It does not locate properly the hotel. The driving instructions given are also restricted to those who come from Paris. On top of that, the tourist maps of Bordeaux do not include Begles, so I spent almost 1 hour driving and asking for information, and no one knew the hotel, until I decided to call the hotel and later I found a helpful driver with a map (Hallelujah!); total 1,5 hour. Without a GPS, do not dare try to find the hotel with the map provided in your reservation. Other than that, the hotel was very good, the staff extremely nice and helpful, and I recommend it, except for the absence of a lift/elevator.

Lovely hotel, moderately priced and ideally situated for the autoroute network. Staff extremely helpful. Only neg was the cost of a taxi to Bordeaux restaurant quarter which seemed at E20 each way a bit excessive. Took 1 1/2 hours to find hotel as map on internet is very misleading and too large a scale. Despite address it is literally ON the main embankment road into Bordeaux from the autoroute junction. Would certainly use again.

From Paris: follow the A10 highway towards Bayonne/Toulouse and take exit 21 (Bordeaux centre). Follow signs for Gare Saint Jean train station and turn left at the first roundabout.
From Bayonne and Toulouse: follow signs to Paris and take exit 21 (Bordeaux centre). Follow signs for Gare Saint Jean train station and turn left at the first roundabout.

By train
From Gare Saint Jean train station, take bus n° 2 and get off at Brienne. Alternatively, take tram n° 15 and get off at Terres Neuves. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from them tram stop.
