Hotel Wilson - Bègles, Bordeaux

As an place for a very short stay this hotel fills the bill. Provided you are not physically handicapped in any way the access to Bordeaux is excellent.If you have mobility problems the surrounding area is a nightmare for moving around. Avoid weekends as the restaurant, whose Buffet and A La Carte is excellent, is closed and meals out are not easy to find.

This is a very good hotel if you are travelling by car. Friendly personnel and excellent breakfast, rather clean rooms. The property is a bit old and seen better days, but a very nice personnel.

This is a very nice hotel once you find it. It took me almost 45 minutes and most of the time I was close by. They need better directions. But once found it is a very good functional base for Bordeaux visits. Taxi to centre was easy and only €15 each way. Breakfeast was excellent and staff very helpful.

No free wifi, far away from downtown.

Unfortunately the hotels restaurant was closed on the evening we stayed so we had to find a restaurant in the town, which we were given directions and help for. However, if we had been tiered and wanting to eat in, we could not have done so. This also meant there was no room service.

Sehr angenehmes und gepflegtes Hotel. Wir hatten einen guten und freundlichen Service. Unser Hotelaufenthalt war sehr angenehm.

If you're not go by car, it will be a little bit hard to find.

The map provided is VERY VERY VERY bad. It does not locate properly the hotel. The driving instructions given are also restricted to those who come from Paris. On top of that, the tourist maps of Bordeaux do not include Begles, so I spent almost 1 hour driving and asking for information, and no one knew the hotel, until I decided to call the hotel and later I found a helpful driver with a map (Hallelujah!); total 1,5 hour. Without a GPS, do not dare try to find the hotel with the map provided in your reservation. Other than that, the hotel was very good, the staff extremely nice and helpful, and I recommend it, except for the absence of a lift/elevator.

It's a good hotel to sleep one night in route to Paris, but not so good for visit Burdeos.

Lovely hotel, moderately priced and ideally situated for the autoroute network. Staff extremely helpful. Only neg was the cost of a taxi to Bordeaux restaurant quarter which seemed at E20 each way a bit excessive. Took 1 1/2 hours to find hotel as map on internet is very misleading and too large a scale. Despite address it is literally ON the main embankment road into Bordeaux from the autoroute junction. Would certainly use again.
