Close to the old town (walking distance) but as quiet as it can be in a big town. Interior design and patio are very well attended to. We did, however, not eat dinne...

Close to the old town (walking distance) but as quiet as it can be in a big town. Interior design and patio are very well attended to. We did, however, not eat dinner there as prices are somewhat hefty and the dining room's design needs getting used to :-)

This hotel suited our requirements perfectly. The focus throughout the hotel is on design, and we were enchanted by the attention to detail. However, it is not a place to go if your are looking for conventional furnishings, a bar filled with other guests or a lively atmosphere. We stayed for five nights, and we will undoubtedly return.

According to their availability, I recommend the rooms diegue or Appoline. Location is OK to stay in Bordeaux w/o car. Very nice stay. The next time may be in Spring to have more sunny weather (lol)

Interesting, individual hotel, a little off the town centre. Owners and staff knowledgeable end helpful. Our room agood size with plenty of staorage space, shelves etc and mirrors, items often lacking in boutique type hotels. A friend's single room not so well appointed. Bordeaux a great place for few days, lots of fine restaurants. Even better if the £ was worth more! Or, the Euro less.

We stayed in Salamanca the previous evening for 1/2 the price-142 euros- and the room and facilities were 10 times better. our feelings are that the nights stay was the worst value we have ever seen. Formula 1 facilities, George V prices

This hotel is a family run business, so the instead of a room it is more like a suite. The service and the quality of the place was excellent and we had a great time there. The owners were so nice and helpful that they made our stay awesome. By the end of our two night stay in Bordeaux we felt like we had made a friendship with the owners. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. They will set you up with a wine tour as well. This hotel stay was a highlight to our 10 day vacation in Europe.

Our room did not have a proper shower and request for parking had not been received by the hotel but neither was a problem as bath was big and parking spaces were available.

This hotel is overpriced. There is no real air conditioning in the rooms which would be very hot in the summer. With the windows open there is quite a bit of traffic noise. There was no wardrobe in our room just a trendy hanging rail - all right if you wanted to lie in bed and admire your colour co-ordinated couture items. Also no where to store suitcases. The bedrooms were tastefully decorated but the decor in the public areas dod not work for me. I really don't expect to find plastic chairs in a dining room! All in all this hotel which is really just a bed and breakfast was an expensive let down.

Our first time in Bordeaux and this hotel was an excellent choice. It is close to the centre of town with a ten minute but pleasant walk. The hotel is equiped with good furniture, well decorated and cared for. The owners are friendly, welcoming and obviously proud of their place. Serving staff were also friendly and efficient. The breakfast was high quality and plentyful. All-in-all, an great hotel from which to visit a great city.

If you are looking for a hotel of rare quality and distinction then this is it. Tucked away in a sidestreet yet a five minute stroll to the main shopping area of the city, there is little immediate evidence of a hotel from the outside. A large gate with a discreet sign beside it is all, and a buzzer to gain entry. You enter into an exquisite courtyard: on the left is the main building, in front the former stable block. What is immediately apparent is the intervention of contemporary design on old buildings - this can often appear clumsy but not so here. The interiors are also all contemporary, with furniture designed by the owners (who are delightful and friendly people). We stayed for one night before heading for a cottage on the Dordogne, but liked it so much that we came back at the end of our stay for another night. We've tried two of the six rooms now - we'll be back to try the others in future!

Good central location, only 5-10 minutes walking from the old part of Bordeaux. The owners are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. There are no lifts in the hotel so if you have a lot of luggage be prepared to carry up several flights of stairs...however the owner is always around to assist should you need it.

La Maison Bord'eux was a very comfortable stay and highly recommended - the room was very clean, modern, had good facilities and also some luxuries even at this price eg. Hermes products, bathrobes/slippers. The hotel was also very relaxing with late checkout times and flexible breakfast hours which was also very nice. The service was fantastic and overall, perfect boutique accomodation. The hotel was only a 10 min walk to the centre of town but the distance meant it was very quiet.
