it was a little bit far away, but Bordeaux is not a big city and it was ok to drive from the city centre (appr 15-20 min depending on the traffic). the room was very very nice

A very pleasant stay at the Chateau. The personnel couldn't have been more helpful. We were traveling with another couple and rather than roomservice for our evening meal they let us eat two very good dinners in the breakfast room. The weather was cool so we didn't spend any time outside but it looked beautiful. The remote location was a peaceful change at the latter part of our vacation.

This is a lovely place to stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. On your way there you get a little nervous because you drive through an industrial area to get into the farm area where they are located along the river. But once you're there you will really love it. I would have liked at least on english speaking news channel on the TV.

Although Chateau Grattequina was a little hard to find, once there, it was perfect for us (two adults.) Quite and elegant, the rooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful and professional yet friendly. The easy access to the many vineyards along this route was perfect. I would highly recommend this place to people looking for a touch of yesteryear elegance and a casual today style.

the breakfast I thought was way too high for 16 euros, not worth it and that is kind of bad because the place is completetly away from anything else around! The rooms where very nice, large and very clean.

on an overseas trip to europe for 6 weeks, this was towards the end of our trip, found it to be very relaxing after the hustle and bustle of all the busy major cities through Italy, Spain and France. I would certainly recommend to anyone who wants to relax in wonderful surroundings. Staff were excellent.

Handsome hotel of dozen rooms overlooking the Garonne, renovated with excellent taste and very high quality materials. Somewhat isolated from Bordeaux, roundtrip evening taxi fare to city about 70 Euros. New adjacent annex serves inter alia for weddings, with extremely loud disco music, making sleep almost impossible on that side of the hotel. Management offered apologies but no compensation for the great incovenience during final night.

Great room with balcony overlooking the river, large and comfortable. Visit the Lion d'Or in Arcins for great food and you can bring your own wine at no charge!

What struck us immediately was the graciousness of the owners as well as the beauty of the property. We loved the antiquity mixed with contemporary in our room and throughout the Chateau. Again, the family running the Chateau made us feel truly welcome! The breakfast is not to be missed with every attention to detail taken care of. We would recommend this to everyone and would stay there again, should we find ourselves in Bordeaux once again.
