The Hotel Regina is a great location if you want to hike in the Alps above Bolzano. It is very convenient to the cable car to the city of Bolzano which is 3000 ft lower. The owners and staff are very friendly and competent.

This trip was our first to the Dolomites in Italy. Our response when we first entered our room w/balcony was O-my-God! The view was incredible! The drive up to Soprabolzano is somewhat long, but the scenery makes it worth the time. The service and meals were excellent and the morning coffee was the best. A splurge for us - but worth it.

I normally stay in hostels, but this was my splurging stay for my trip to Europe. I am honestly very satisfied that I chose this place to splurge. It was everything you could want. Location was charming, breakfast was delicious, staff was friendly, and the view was AMAZING. But be prepared to go on a hike if you go here, you will really want to as everyone else who stays here does. Also, go see Ötzi in Bolzano at the anthro museum.

The best hotel we were in Italy. Everything was great except it was a little hard to find. The hotel located not in Bolzano but at a suburb called Suprabolzano it's the nearest hill to bolzano and very close. We were very satisfied with the hotel, the breakfast was great and the view is spectacular. The high rating is well earned.

Probably the most quiet hotel we have ever used. You can sleep with the door open to the balcony and you wont here a sound until the birds wake up in the morning. Really good and homemade breakfast and a cheap and delicious evening dinner if you are to tired to go anywhere else. Wonderfull sorrundings. We only stayed for 2 nights which we actually regretted !

Once you find the road that goes up the mountain, then the way is clear. The Hotel Regina is wonderful - more than a bargain for the price. Beautiful room with a spectacular view, lots of spa services, and they really try to get all the patrons invloved together by hosting group walks through the area with lots of commentary. The food is excellent, but the only thing that was difficult was there is only a single seating time for dinner for all guests at once. Unfortunately we were sidetracked by the Tour di Italy bike race which had us arriving late right during dinner which seemed to disrupt the entire audience. The staff is very pleasant and always around for whatever you need. I highly recommend staying here, and if I ever get back to the region I will certainly look them up.

This Hotel is in an absolutely beautiful location up in SopraBolzano - you get there from Bolzano by cable car. The views of the mountains from the Hotel are stunning. We only stayed one night, but would have liked to have had much longer. The only drawback we found with this hotel was that the staff spoke very limited English.

The ONLY thing I can say bad is that no one anywhere around here speaks English. Everything else was fabulious. This property was easily the nicest of any place we stayed while in Italy, or Austria. Get an adequate map before you start out up the mountain to get here. view through your sliding glass doors (from your bed!) was breath taking. Feather comforters were divine. Food was excellent (4 or 5 course) was excellent and very very reasonably priced. I think it was around $35 USD for both of us with the excellent also included a great salad bar and local wine. Breakfast buffet was exceptional, included with room. Note, Dinner is served at a set time. I believe at 7pm. The good thing is that you're seated in the same place each meal and get to know a few people (well we just smiled and nodded guten morgen). Most people in Tyrol prefer to speak German since this was once Austria. Nature walks available from hotel, self-guided, and hosted. Free. Guides speak German. Cable car (spectacular view - 3,50 euro. round trip. Time stamp the ticket or there's a fine!) into Bolzano. Nice little village to explore by hotel nearby church with bells. Bolzen has a castle you can explore (Castle Roncolo). A free van will take you there from the central Walther Piazza, van marked with paintings of medieval murals from castle. Parks in front of the Duomo (Cathedral). Would definitely love to stay here again. Maybe a week next time.

Staff were helpful @ all time. Breakfast and dinner was good. We had a relaxing stay there and we enjoyed our room view (the mountains)very much.Only setback was when we paid our bill, they included additional 50% charged for our 4yrs child.(we were not informed during our booking). Also,we felt 50%'s not a fair price to pay for child.

Great hotel! Large rooms very modern and spotlessly clean. Great staff, friendly, helpful any way they can and mostly English speaking as well as German and Italian. Spa services were wonderful and modestly priced. The beakfast as good as any we had in Italy but dinner was gormet at very modest price. Price fixed dinner menu changes every evening. Will go out of our way to come back!!
