Beautiful hotel with a fantastic price for the quality of the room and the hotel itself. Taxi or bus required to reach Bologna center, but the area is very quiet due to this fact. Easy to reach from the autostrada and great parking availability.

A wonderful hotel experience which met all our expectations. The breakfast was better than most hotels I stayed in my last trip to Italy. At first, I was disappointed in the location, but later loved it because of the peaceful and serene surroundings. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent, but the selection for a vegetarian was not very good. However, my friends loved the menu.

When we booked a 3 bed room for 3 adults there should have been some indication that the room size was not suitable for 3 adults. We ended up taking a second room for the 2 nights. Apart from that we enjoyed the hotel and the staff were excellent.

Very positive experience over all. We forgot some (valuable) items in the hotel and they were safely kept for us until we passed by on our way home 2 weeks later! Friendly staff. Ideal as a stopover during longer trips.

GOOD: The room is good. Parking is free of charge. Hotel installations are brand new. There are internet access area also free of charge (rare nowadays). There is a VERY good restaurant in the hotel, with great italian menu (of course) and service. BAD: The hotel works also as conference/congress center, and also has a place to parties or something like that. It brings an unpleasant consequence: the quietness of rooms is seriously damaged. In my last night there was a party on swimming pool area (just a few meters underneath my room window) with LOUD live music until 12 p.m.. For me it is unacceptable, especially if you are a tourist walking the whole day and at night try to get some sleep. I kept thinking what a mature couple or old people would do in a situation like this to sleep.... Overall, the cost/benefit relation is ok for this hotel. If they care a little more for quietness of rooms stopping the music or the parties at 10 p.m. for example it would be much better.

It was very hot in Bologna that time, but air condition was not 100% OK (for all two days :-() Swimming-pool is much smaller than presented on photos and number of places around it was very limited. Breakfast was very good!

Nice hotel. Rooms close to lift are noisy because of bell for each stop.

What struck you especially about Hotel Savoia Hotel Regency? I did not like the music in the public areas. Jind of plastic music that was quite annoying quite quickly. The shoukd play some classical music also - or no music at all for some time.

Really beautiful hotel and great prices at the weekend. I would have loved to enjoy a drink sitting in a summer's night at the front of the hotel- but two kids and cold spring air made that difficult in the evening! We did however have a lovely breakfast outside and it was superb. It was Easter Sunday and there was a huge chocolate bell for guest to enjoy as well as a mini egg on our pillows the night before! The breakfast staff were very helpful and the breakfast was plentiful with a variety of fresh bakery goods, orange juicer machine, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts, eggs, fresh fruit etc. The frequent public bus was no problem to use and tickets are on sale at the reception desk. This is a great hotel for business or pleasure!

This is a fantastic hotel with superb food. This was the best food we have ever had in Italy. The accessible room requested had not been made available but the staff quickly upgraded us to a suite that was large enough for the wheelchair. It was not adapted but as we were travelling together this was not the problem it would have been if I was on my own. The rest of the hotel was very good for access and the staff excellent. We stayed during the cheaper season and it was definitely very good value for money for Italy. Will defintely stay again.

I am an Italian citizen living in the US. My wife and and I travel to Italy several times a year for business and pleasure. We stayed at this beautiful hotel with our 3 children (ages 10-17) for only one night but wish we had the opportunity to stay longer. The price was amazingly low for such a high quality hotel. It's located about 15 minutes outside the center of Bologna but there is a convenient bus near the hotel. Both of our rooms were great size, beautiful, and clean with flat screen TV, very nice fabrics. The beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was large and had new fixtures and great shower or bath. The rooms are also completely soundproofed. The entire hotel is beautiful and has many amenities (ping pong table, pool table, fooze ball, outdoor pool, wireless internet), nice bar. Not that I'm a big breakfast person but I must point out that the breakfast was the best I've seen in all my many years traveling in Italy - they even offered a variety of fresh fruits - melon, pineapple, etc.; yogurt, cereal, pastries, eggs, cheeses, meats, breads. Best of all - no automatic coffee machines - the very hospitable wait staff bring you espresso, cappuccino, hot chocolate to your table. We loved this hotel and look forward to returning soon as our oldest is planning to go to the University of Bologna. We have an Italian soccer school in the US and take soccer players and their families to Italy every summer and we are considering this wonderful hotel for our group in 2009.

El hotel es fantástico, muy bonito, tranquilo, un remanso de paz. Genial para pasar unos dias de relax, pero tiene el defectillo de estar demasiado lejos del centro.

The Savoia Regency was a very pleasant stay. The staff was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfasts were great - lots of variety. The hotel restaurant was excellent!! The menu and the service were great! The location was great because didn't have to contend with driving or parking in downtown Bologna. Busses provided easy and quick access to downtown Bologna. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Savoia Regency is a v good hotel indeed - certainly worth its 4 stars. It's clean, comfortable & spacious. The staff are polite rather than friendly and the hotel is a long way from the centre of Bologna. However, the bus service [from a stop 300m away]is frequent and cheap and a taxi from the airport cost 15 euro. The least likeable thing about the hotel is the dreadful muzak piped into all public areas constantly - tho the soft jazz in the evening was tolerable..

The hotel is not in the center of Bologna but you can easily get to center via taxi or bus which is located a short walk from the hotel. This is the first time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel and we are returning with 9 other members of our family in June.

Perfect geographical location very close to city downtown. Qualtity vs price is exceptionnal. Globally a good hotel with good service. Food is fresh (homade cakes at the breakfast. I also tried the restaurant and the quality vs price is also quite good. Only one regret: unfortunately, the landscape around the hotel is not really romantic.

Bologna is an excellent for exploring Emilia-Romagna. The hotel is just outside the City Centre, in a quiet suburb, but handily located for the Bologna bypass. Direct bus route at the end of the street into the City Centre. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We found this hotel to be excellent value for money. The breakfast was very good and the attached restaurant was superb.

Hotel was excellent. The breakfast included everything; there was nothing that was missing and the breakfast staff was excellent. We also went to the Restaurant Garganello and that was also excellent. The only negative is that the hotel is 15minutes from the central part of Bologna but that was not a real problem because there was the autobus near the Hotel.

Assolutamente raccomandabile!!! Qualche piccolo dettaglio da migliorare: - uno dei concierge non conosceva il funzionamento della pay-TV; - il personale delle pulizie dovrebbe essere piu' discreto. Recommend for sure!!! A few improvable things: - one of the concierge did not know how the pay-TV works; - cleaning staff should be more discreet.

Hotel molto elegante e confortevole. Stanze spaziose, colazione ricca e varia con "vera" spremuta d'arancia e senza succhi di frutta allungati con l'acqua!!!! Comoda l'ubicazione a pochi minuti dal centro! Da ritornarci!!!

Quite near to Marconi Airport, it offer an excellent relationship between price/quality. They gave us a twin room instead of a double room but it has been the only disadvantage. No trasport service for the airport

Have just returned from a two week tour of Italy. This hotel was excellent. The room was huge, breakfast fantastic, public areas extensive. Have stayed in some beautiful hotels across the world and this ranks as one of the best. Would definitely recommend it and visit it again. Only negative it is a 15min bus journey into town and there are no shops, bars or restaurants anywhere close.

Travelling with small kids and a rental car, we searched for a hotel with comfort and surrondings for our needs. The hotel was easy to find, and is sited not far from Bologna city centre, a big shopping centre and the airport. Free access to the internet, a fitness room, an excellent restaurant and bar and a nearby public park made the stay even more comfortable. By car we visited the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, a 30 minutes drive.

Touring around west Europe by motorbike we found this hotel to be the pick of the bunch by far. Having arrived from a busy and expensive Milan our stay here was a delightful reward for our travels and allowed easy access to the historical Bologna centre. Having just lost our GPS we were directed by local service station staff who knew the sister hotel nearby. Top quality surroundings and all our luggage was expertly taken to our room on arrival. A lovely swimming pool and quality restaurant was the icing on the cake. This is a top hotel obviously catering for the business traveller but making the casual tourist feel just as welcome. After a hectic start in Italy we found this a wonderful way to rest and recharge our batteries. Many thanks.
