Benefits: Comfortable accommodation near historical center. Lock free parking during the night. Good breakfast. Clean rooms (no smoking in the room), good service. Very good relationship between price and quality. Disadvantages: Near the railway line from one side of the hotel. Paid wifi.

Good position for the Fiera and the concerts to Estragon (Parco Nord) and close to the motorway. Good hotel, clean, and professional staff in the reception. Good service and price. But I must report that in the early morning the cleaners start to speak very loudly in the corridor, they wake us and was impossible sleep more... This event disturbed us very much.

Air-conditioning on our room did not work. Hotel lies in airplane line. Planes pass the hotel pretty low, what is noisy. Rails are pretty close as well. So it was pretty difficult to sleep with a window opened. They made some reconstruction in the hotel during our stay. Workers started to work at 8:00 a.m. It is pretty early in my opinion. Everything else was OK.

Don't go there! The hotel claims to be air conditioned - but in our three rooms on the 5th floor the only effect of the air condition was a noise. In the Bolognese summerheat this ment a nigt with poor sleep. When I told the receptionist about the problem, I was told: "yes - there is aircondition in the hotel, but there is a problem with it reachting the 5th floor". If the air condition in fact works on the other floors, I think the hotel ought not to descripe the 5th floor rooms as air contitioned. The receptionist was very unfriendly listening to my complain, and I'm very sure, that I've spent my last night at this hotel. Looks good - the price is fair - but don't expect sleep and service.

Room was clean and good provided. Service was professional and ready to help. The place is near to centre also by walk, but little bit noisy (planes and train). Also breakfast was too "italian" - lots of sweet cakes (good for me), but no vegetable for my friend. Full price of room for earlier check-out, little bit hard, but it's ok. Generally we ware satisfied, very good offer for great money - can reccomend.

Surrounding area is a bit industrial and bus access is a 10 minute walk. No shops or restaurants nearby because hotel is in area used mainly when there is an industry fair being held.

The hotel is not located in the centre, but easily to reach by bus. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was ok, and the staff was friendly. We stayed three nights at this hotel. The room was very spacious and modern, as the hotel is quite new. First night we stayed in the upper floor, and since it was so hot outside, the air conditioner could not cool the room enough. The staff was kind to change our room the next morning, and for our surprise, we got even better and bigger room from the second floor, which was a lot cooler. Excellent relationship between price and quality, and breakfast was also included in the price. Although the hotel is about 4 km from the Bologna city centre, the bus connections are very good and cheap. We would definitely go back anytime, and would recommend this to anyone travelling to Bologna.

Hotel Fiera was not easy to find as we arrived at night. Bologna is a big city. Best to have a good GPS or map and not just rely on direction from Google Maps. :o) Hotel was clean and the restaurant downstairs was not bad. The staff speak poor English even at the reception, and the receptionist didn't seem willing to do more than his job description says (we needed help with decyphering some medicine we received for our 6 months old baby who had a fever - instruction were in Italian only). Bologna was just a stopover for the night after visiting San Gimignano (very recommended) and before heading off to France in the morning, so I can't say much about the city itself except that it's much bigger than we expected it to be. The price is good for what you get but the location seemed a bit away from everything. But anyway we were told you cannot drive into the city and can only go by taxi, so maybe if you take the taxi into consideration (I think they said it would be about 15EUR) then maybe it's an ok location, although you need to consider the extra costs involved. If you have kids or prefer to have better access, I would recommend staying nearer to the center, pending your budget of course.

A great deal for the price! The rooms are very clean and are more of a 4* standard - although don't expect the same from the breakfast and the view from the window. The reception staff are helpful and efficient. The hotel is at the very outskirts of Bologna, but if you're arriving by car, this may actually be an advantage, as there's no problem with the free parking. To get to the city centre by car, drive to Piazza dell'Otto Augosto, where there's a huge underground car park for €1.60/hour and then walk further south. A better option, however, may be taking a 3-min walk along the unassuming Via Giovanni Casoni to the first junction with Via Ferrarese, from where the frequent bus 25 takes you straight into the old city.

Camere pulite ma piccole. Arredamento camera buono. Good quality for money if there is not a fair going on. They should put a good description of how to get there by public transport on their web site though. It is much more easy than it seems. From the central station, take a number 25 bus in the direction of Dozza (coming from the station, you have to cross the main road) and alight at the Casoni stop. Follow the road sign (to the right) and it is only a 5 minutes walk. The bus also runs to the city centre until after midnight. The surroundings of the hotel are not very inspiring, but seem to be alright.

Absolutely simple hotel to drive to/from the airport and access to autostrada, that is why we chose it. However we found it very difficult to get the bus into and out of the city center. Luckily we had help from friends that live in the area otherwise we would have spent a great deal of time riding the wrong buses and missing our stops. We have just returned from the Hotel Fiera in Bologna… I have never written a review before but felt this hotel really deserved a mention. Hotel was spotlessly clean, staff very friendly, very efficient. It's very easy to find it, because is situated 500 meter from the tangential exit Nr. 7 - and it's even written Via Stalingrado, that helps a lot! For those with cars - excellent! We left our car on the hotel parking and took 20 minute walk in one direction which took us to the old town of Bologna. Hotel room? Very clean and spacious. Breakfast? Typical Italian - with several types of cakes. To conclude: A very nice hotel that looked good on the reviews and turn out even better.

Excellent bathroom, modern, clean, very nice and spacious. Breakfast room also very good and spacious with a nice design, nice ambience. Very good relation of the price to proposed stuff. I recommend this hotel to all, those who drive should try it.

Very far to center. If you are stranger, will be a bit difficult to walk to centre, you may takee a bus. Is a Quiet and relaxing place. Surrounding are industrial, not very charming. But the services are also good.

The hotel was being refurbished, so no resturant or room service was available. But the breakfast room was great and the builders didn't make too much noise early in the mornings.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our stay in Italy. The room was immaculate, modern, with all the ammenities needed, for a very reasonable price. It was almost like a boutique hotel room, the only drawback was that it was very near the convention center and far from the city center. There is one bus line that takes you straight to it from the train station, once you get off it you have to walk one long block to get to the hotel. This hotel block is somewhat empty and dark at night, so it may not be a good choice for a single female traveler, but if there is more than one person, I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was fully bilingual and extremely helpful, we had to leave early the next day so we didn't get a chance to sample the breakfast buffet, but I think if it was in line with all the other services it would have been great too. I would highly recommend this property if you don't mind being outside the historic city center.

I stayed in Fiera in June 2007 with my girlfriend during our Italy roundtrip. Fiera is very conveniently located near the Bologna tangenziale freeway, however, in order to get to the center it is necessary to use the car or bus. The hotel is very clean and I liked the modern look of the rooms very much. Also the breakfast was superb. For the price - we paid only 45 EUR per night with Venere reservation it provided excellent value. Now the downside - the surroundings are scary. From our window we could see some whores looking for the customers near the freeway, and the in the street that leads to the bus station there are some Arab or Gypsy bars with creepy people crawling around. Therefore, it is the best to party on one of the balconies as we did (if you are lucky enough to get one of the rooms with a balcony) or go one of those wonderful restaurants in the Bologna center by car or taxi.

Very convenient for the Bologna Fair. But you will need a taxi to get back to the Hotel after about 8pm from the city centre, as the buses to the Fair stop running. It is on a busy road which might keep you awake unless, like me, you're tired.

We stayed there on Feb. The room is clean and breakfast is good. Though its location is a little far from city center, its reasonable price compensates the inconvenience.
