Hotel Del Borgo - Bologna

Wonderful family owners, warm hospitality. Very good breakfast. Rooms small but comfortable and quiet. Not too many people there during my stay late September, so could be noisier when hotel is full in high seasons. Arco is a mecca for mountain and road biking, hiking and trekking, and adventure sports eg climbing, via ferrate and canyoning. The owners can refer you to quality guide services and itineraries, especially for climbing. Location is excellent, 1 min. from piazza centrale with free parking. Next time in Arco, I will definitely stay at Le Borgo again.

The rooms in this hotel are okay, but the amenities could be updated and enhanced. However, the price is fair for Italy and the restaurant next to the hotel is simply outstanding!

Staff were at once polite, welcoming, knowledgable, kind and friendly, highly recommend, I'll be staying here again!

Dante was fantastic and what a great sense of humor. Access to the internet was valuable.

The people were friendly, had a breakfast waiting for us at 5:00 AM; made sure the cab was there on time; etc., etc., etc. And, of course, the price was GREAT. I highly recommend it.

Hotel is walking dist. from Ducati Factory/Museum/Shop. Not to much else to do around than the Ducati sightseeing. Not happy about help from staff not beeing able to assist on how to get to downtown Bologna(explain busroutes, give maps etc). OK internetservice, poor reception in our room, OK in another. Connection dropped after a few minutes. Good breakfast with alternatives to the typical sweet Italian breakfast. Good espresso@breakfast.

Very convenient for a visit to Ducati HQ and its bike museum

Rooms were very nice, although heat did not work well in second room, breakfast just OK - excellent recommedation for dinner next door, meal was wonderful!

Feel fine to come back in this hotel.

I would recommend Del Borgo to anyone travelling to Bologna. Its about a 20 minute $1.50 bus ride on the #13 bus to the centre of town. Its close to the airport, 10 minutes on the #54 bus from the airport. A shopping centre is a 3 minute walk away and other shopping 5 minute away in the opposite direction. Its very quiet, my room was very clean with a full bathroom, TV and wireless net. The breakfast of fruit salad,yoghurt,granola and of course pastries and cappuccanos was excellent, I bulked up everymorning before my exploring and went all day. The staff was warm, helpful and freindly. The Duccatti motor cycle head office is down the road and technicians in training stay at the hotel. You could stay at hotel in the centro at double the cost but I think it would be very noisy. The ride on the bus is a cultural experience you can't miss. When I return it with be with the wife without any hesitation.

Lovely old hotel. The room we had was really nice. You could hear the bathroom next door but it wasn't too bad and we both slept really well. The staff here were great. Really friendly and helpful. This hotel is about 6km from town. The bus stop is just about outside and for a small fare will take you right into the city. Service runs pretty regularly until about 11.00pm or midnight.

Lovley clean rooms, really helpful staff, a huge garage for secure parking for our bikes. A really nice place to stay, looked new.

Very nice,clean & spacious room.Staff was very helpful giving a wakeup call & having taxi there for us at proper time.Also they have a lift for people with heavy luggage.

Very close to the airport. Very far from the centre, but you can easily reach it by bus, the stop is right in front of the hotel. Very friendly stuff. Clean rooms, good breakfast.

After we returned home, I sent this email to the staff of Del Borgo: To the entire staff: Just wanted to let you know that we enjoyed our stay and found everyone to be extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Your recommendation on a restaurant was perfect, we had a great time and the food was fantastic. I don't have the name of the restaurant with me but it was just over the second bridge on the same side of the road. Thanks again for making our stay so enjoyable. Hope to return to Italy soon, we loved our two weeks there. Best regards, Tom

Very helpful staff. Close to airport, which we needed for an early morning flight. Laptop computer available in the lobby--very handy. Local neighborhood with friendly folks and good restaurants in walking distance. Not as close to downtown Bologna as we had stayed previously but this is great for airport location.

Close to airport, staff were friendly and efficient. Located on a relatively busy road with a bus stop close by which was 25 minutes travelling time to the centre of Bologne. Excellent restaurant next door to hotel. Across the road from the motor cycle manufacturer Ducatti

Very kind employees, a good parking and very usefull the wi-fi service for broadband internet and mails (all inclusive in the price!)

Del Borgo is an old villa converted to a hotel, but from the inside and out it looks like it was purpose-built as a hotel by an unimaginative architect. Our room was unexciting but perfectly comfortable, with a small but efficient and well-appointed bathroom. It's an airport hotel in a modern part of town with no personality or charm, but just down the block is a stop for the #13 bus which will take you to the heart of downtown for 1 Euro (make sure you check the route map because the return bus does NOT stop on the same street!) If you arrive in town in a car, just put it in their (free) lot and forget about it until you leave Bologna. We were welcomed by a concierge who looked as though he had stepped out of a Fellini film from the 60s, and who was absolutely charming. The included breakfast was served in a nondescript dining area, but the selection and service were quite good. You could even get cappucino!

Location is on a buzy road in an industrial area. This was not a big problem as we used the hotel only for sleeping and breakfast and we used the excellenrt bus service to the centre of town.

Nicely presented hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast but could do with a bar for the evening. Single room was small - but very clean and functional.

A really friendly small hotell with employees who are willing to help with guestions and make the visit a good one.
