Good, clean and small hotel close to the real city center. Welcoming with competence and kindness. Good rate for business and holiday. Close to the bus station to Bologna Fair (20 minutes by bus).

Good quality budget hotel

The room was basic but clean and adequate. The bathroom was good and the bed fairly comfortable. The air conditioning system was complicated and broke down. The breakfast room had really uncomfortable chairs! The food was satisfactory. The location is convenient for the station and the city but slightly run down. OK for a short stay where all that is needed is a base. The staff members were friendly and helpful.

Great position, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. I found this hotel to be good value and would stay there again.

Nice room and bathroom with good standard. Really nice little terasse + a french balcony was a positive surprise! (room 123) Welcoming staff and good cleaning. 5-10 min walk to the train station in one direction, and the city center in the other direction. Resturants and shops just around the corner. I recomend this hotel!

I loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly and helpful, providing me with restaurant recommendations and maps, and instructions for getting to where I needed to go. The free usage of their computer and internet was also a plus. The breakfast each morning was tasty and plentiful (continental-type). I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel due to its central location, great staff, cleanliness, and budget-friendly price range.

Had 1 night at the albergo atlantic september 2010, had a family room with 2 bathrooms, which was very clean, with a good breakfast typical italian. very close to train station & just round the corner from the lovely city centre restaurants & shops. very pleasant staff. enjoyed my 1 night in bologna & at the albergo would definitely stay again.

I found the bathroom fitting (e.g. washing basin very poor)as well as the quality of breakfast could/should be given more attention.

Very friendly and competent staff. A very nice location close to the Railroad Station. The room was clean and accordint to what was described in the web site.

Right in the centre of Bologna so handily placed for rail bus and restaurants.

Albergo Atlantic is good value for money. It is on a quiet street only a 5 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk from the cental area. This was our first time and we will stay here again when in Bologna.

All staff were competent, helpful, discrete. Hotel of exemplary cleanliness and order. Breakfast was quite adequate, the quality of the food good. The room was just big enough. The shelf behind bed, however, was a tad too narrow to hold all necessities like clock, tissues, book,writing materials. I will stay there again.

This hotel was very nice! The room itself and the hallways were very well appointed and bright, a contrast to other hotel rooms with dark wall coverings. Close to the main train station and to the main attractions. The area seemed a little rough but no one bothered us. I would stay there again for sure. Bologna was actually not as touristy as other cities and that is where we had the best food.

The location-- near to both the bus and train stations-- is excellent. The staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The internet connection was amazingly fast. Breakfast was simple but good and the service prompt. Overall, an excellent hotel and one that I will use again.

Excellent hotel for the price. We paid 80 euros per night in late May. location great for railway station -less than 10 minutes. About 10 to 15 minutes to central downtown. Staff very welcoming and helpful recommending restaurants etc. Not the nicest location for late night strolling. Rooms were air conditioned ( not always turned on at some hotels before June!) so that was a positive feature because the days were very hot in May. Our room was very small, but clean and well furnished. Quiet courtyard layout for most rooms ensures a peaceful night sleep.

Not fancy, but fine and well worth the modest price. Only problem: it was hot (80-90 F.) and humid in mid-May but the cold air conditioning had not been turned on.

A very satisfying stay, very good value for money spent. The hotel is a short walk from the train station in Bologna, less than 10 minutes. I had reserved a single, but on arrival the very helpful receptionist told me I had a double for the single price. The room was 2 flights up, but the hotel is equipped with an elevator. The room was modestly furnished, but good size by Italian standards. The bathroom was a very pleasant surprise, very spacious compared to some I have seen in Italy, spotlessly clean. Those who are light sleepers might not want a room in front as I had, the hotel is on a rather busy, noisy street. Breakfast was good,typical of Italy, pastries, yogurt, juices, and excellent espresso served by friendly helpful staff. In all, as good a "2-star" experience as anyone might find, I think the property deserves 3 stars. This was my third trip to Itlay, first stay in Bologna, and I would absolutely return to Albergo Atlantic. One final note: the hotel had a free computer, so I was able to log on, e-mail, etc. Unlike a higher-price chain in Firenze that charged 5 Euro for a half-hour!!

Breakfast was a disapointing, there was no ordinary Crossants or good plain fresh bread. Synthetic fruit juice was not a good substitute for real juice.However we were generally very pleased with the hotel and the staff were faultless.The location was good.

The hotel is well located (close to both the railway station and the center of Bologna). The hotel staff is kind an helpful and they serve great cappuccino's.

The Albergo Atlantic was one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Italy. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, and the hotel was conveniently located near the railroad station and Piazza Maggiore. It was easy to walk to everything I was interested in and to several excellent restaurants (especially Re Enzo two blocks away).

Nice since I had to stay only overnight between a plane and a train. Close to the train station, which is not the nicest part of town. People were friendly. Very small room.

Great hotel. Clean, cozy, and comfortable, only 10 minutes away from the city downtown, at a very reasonable price. They should give it a third star - the hotel really deserves it!

This time, room was very small, but perfectly designed and equipped so that a five day's stay was sufficiently comfortable. The hotel is located in a quiet street only 10min walk from Central Railway Station - a perfect solution for trips to Modena, Parma etc.

The staff @ Albergo Atlantic were beyond excellent. They were friendly, helpful and always willing to do whatever needed to make my stay as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend the facility to anyone.

What an amazing little hotel in Bologna. A very short walk from the Central Station, this small hotel offers a wonderful stay, comfortable, clean, fresh and within walking distance to everything you need. Restaurants, the University, everything. I will certainly stay here again when I am in Bolgna!

Hotel was very good.

I chose this hotel based on previous reviews and was not disappointed. I had a choice between two rooms and chose the larger one with spacious enough bedroom, hallway and bathroom. The room was nicely furnished, was very clean and elegant. Each room has air conditioning. I was really impressed not only by the way the room looked but also the hotel itself. The staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and plentiful. The hotel is about 10-12 min. from the Bologna train station. I would highly recommend it.

A great location, within easy walking distance of the train station and historic Old Town. Very nicely remodeled building and pleasantly decorated rooms. A nice breakfast and good service. We would stay here again.

Nice, recently upgraded hotel about 6 blocks from the center of Bologna, the Piazza Maggiore. Bologna's centro is lovely.Very pleasant reception. Good breakfast. Recommended for the cost conscious traveller.

Small friendly hotel, low-priced and not far from station. Shower might have been a few cm bigger, but otherwise excellent.

Location is perfect (the citycenter of Bologna is not very large so everything is within walking distance), and the hotel is very friendly and clean with nice rooms.

This is an excellent hotel - clean, comfortable and convenient for the centre of Bologna. From our point of view (as "foreigners") it would have been good to have bread available for breakfast but I don't suppose that Italians would expect it.

My four year old son and I were in Bologna for only one night. And the Hotel Albergo Atlantic was an excellent hotel, with a very friendly and attentive staff. The room was clean and and airy with the windows opened. I would certainly return for a longer stay in the future.

The hotel is very clean and the room was spacious with quite a large bathroom. It was also very centrally located and close to the train station. While in Bologna do check out the following restaurant: Restorante Ciacco located on Via San Simone i/c Tel. 051 26 54 41. The food was fantastic and the owner delightful.

A nice, clean budget hotel, perfectly located between the central station and the old town, on a quiet street. All-night shops nearby, as well as restaurants and bars. Good cappuccino for breakfast, internet in the room, friendly staff - and only 15 minutes walk to all points of interest. I would definitely stay there again.

They promised internet plug in room. But it did not work. And they would not change room to one with a working plug.

The folks at the Atlantic were fantastic. I would absolutely stay there again. Bring an ethernet cable for your laptop or they have some extras at the desk. Only Italian channels on TV but this is common for Italy. Fortunately I had internet to stay current on news. Enjoy!

Our first time in Bologna, and the hotel is in a fantastic location, very central and atmospheric. The hotel is of excellent quality and staff extremely polite and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend it.

This hotel was a great hotel to stay in, close to the train station and has just been renovated so the rooms were excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
