Initial impressions of this hotel were a bit off putting as the area looked a bit rough, but once inside the door we could see it was a quality hotel. The room was very nicely decorated with a small terrace attached to our room.

We stayed one night in this hotel. The price was good for offered conditions. The neighbourhood is quiet. Rooms are nicely decorated and big enough. My double room for single use had some facilities for disabled (for such people could be useful). I heared noise from neighbour*s toilet in the morning.

We arrived in Bologna via train and our walk to this hotel was a bit further than we had anticipated on the map. However, the welcoming kindness by the staff at this hotel made up for these first impression misgivings. The hotel is in a residential area, and a little far from downtown, but once oriented, the walk is very enjoyable and manageable. It is the welcoming attitude and kindness of the staff here that make this a fabulous, first rate hotel option. Very clean with a great breakfast too!

I'd like to say that Hotel Arcoveggio is a wonderful place to stay, cozy. I have no complaint whatsover...On the contrary, everything has been excellent to me...The room was lovely...I stayed 3 nights and 2 with my cousin...We (both) were very pleased with everything...The attention of all staff, and very particular of Franco (the owner), who has been truly kind with me...The breakfast is fantastic. The location, the decoration is lovely and clever with the mirror. If I return to Bologna one day, I will stay at Arcoveggio with no doubt...Also is very close to the central, you could walk or take the bus number 27 (A or B)...There is a simple restaurant nearby which serves see food I do highly recommend it (Sylvanos)... Ha stato veramente ottimo!!!

Nice small and clean hotel. Good 20 minute walk to the bus and train stations which are another good 10 minute walk to the main square. Not as close to the centre as I thought. Good bus service to and from the town.

We both immediately responded positively to the hotel room: high ceilings, plenty of light, comfortable but modern furniture, good bathroom. We were two buildings along from the main section but that was no problem: we liked walking up for breakfast which we found to be excellent. The breakfast room is cleverly designed with lots of mirrors in a narrow room so there's plenty of light and it seems spacious. The bench along one wall contained all that was needed for a good continental breakfast. The location was really good: close enough to the station (a qucik taxi ride) and once there, we walked all the way into the heart of Bologna. The No. 27 buses (27A, 27B and 27C) go all the way into the centre as well and we did take one. An added bonus was an excellent and newly-opened internet cafe in the main road just opposite the hotel street. A good hotel contributed to our enjoyment of our stay in Bologna (lovely city!)

We paid EUR 80 per night which was OK, regarding high prices everywhere in Italy when we were travelling (September). The bus connnection to downtown is good, also to the central station, it's the same bus. Personell is very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were excellent. Breakfast was a very nice set of options. The distance from the train station was misleading, you really cannot walk it. It should be noted that most people will likely want to take a cab. Otherwise no complaints, it was quiet and clean.

It was a smokers room but we had prefered a nonsmoking room. The linen smelt smoke. The staff were very nice and helpfull.

Please note that driving to the hotel following the street signs (after getting off the tangenziale), the indication for Hotel Archoveggio directs you to the completely other side of the main road! You will circulate for hours as all the small road are "one-way"! We finally stopped and got local directions from some very nice old men sitting at their club by the main road.

Although the staff were not particularly friendly, our room in the annex was lovely -- big, new windows, lots of trees outside. Spotless too. A long way from main train station, but walkable if necessary, and frequent buses to city centre.

I was there for a congress. An excellent choice for business travelers as well as tourists. Excellent staff, very friendly and very flexible (they managed to meet all my demands)

I occupied the dependance, and the room was comfortable and quite clean. The shower was not great, but overally the bathroom was ok.

What we thought was to be a short walk from the station, was a long trek. Having to carry bags up two flights of stairs was a chore we had not expected either. Apart from that the place is efficiently run, if impersonal We received a good nearby restaurant recommendation, Roses, which was welcoming, and good.

Extremely clean and neat. Great breakfast. No AC, so very hot rooms. Everything worked except hairdryer. Beds were very hard, but not worse than any other hotel at comparable price. Overall good value for the money and not that far from the city center. I would have walked but it was too hot!!!

Hotel is not a too long, cca 20-25 min. walk from city of Bologna. Finding it, and finding main roads from it by car is easy. Its garage can be used, if additional costs are paid.

I highly recommend this nice hotel with rooms very well decorated and modern. This place offers high quality for a two stars price and we had a lovely stay. It is situated in a quiet area near the train station and a bit far from the city center (25 minutes walk). But you can take the bus Nº 27.

A really lovely hotel, with clean, rooms well decorated and modern. We were actually given a double superior for the price of a double standard. rooms were cleaned daily and spotless, and warm. staff were friendly and breakfast was good and served till late. The hotel is in a quiet area so not much traffic noise. The hotel really offered 4 star quality for a 2 star price and we would highly recommend this palce to anyone. It is about a 25 minute walk straight ahead from the historical centre, or a short bus ride (27). the onlhy grumble we had is the location on the map - as usual, venere give totally misleading information in this respest. It shows it as right near the train station, but is actually about a 15-20 minute walk up the road, and right off the map. Location shown on the map was poor and venere should be ashamed of themselves for giving such information! Made egtting to the hotel quite stressful, but luckily, the lovely hotel more than made up for it and we had a lovely stay. Jodie and Terry Parker, UK

Bologna is an expensive city for accomodation and this hotel offers good value for money. The location is ok (a short easy bus ride north from the historic centre) but the staff are superb and the beds very comfotable. The room and ensuite bathroom were very clean and cleaned every day that I was there. Breakfast was served 0730-1000 and is fresh and good. I would strongly recommend this small friendly hotel to anybody.

Great little hotel in quiet residential area. Clean, modern rooms. Good breakfast. Short bus journey back into centre of Bologna (or about 20 minutes leisurely walking). Two good restaurants five minutes away (only one of which had a no-smoking area - La Rose).

This is a very nice contemporary little hotel in the Bologna outskirts. If you have the time to hasstle with getting into and out of the city center it is no problem. It really is a bit of a hike from the train station and access to the center of town is by bus or taxi.

The price is expensive for single with share shower, 2 Italy restaurants and one supermark are and 2 internat point near hotel. The hotel is far from train station and city center, you need 20 min. to walk to Hotel but you can get on No.27A bus

An excellent 2 star hotel on the outskirts of central Bologna. Just under an hour's walk to the town centre. Parking facilities at the hotel for 7 euro a day. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Access from the autostrade very convenient.

Nice little hotel in the north of bologna, a bit to far from the city center (25 min walk or short bus ride) to call it central. Nice atmosphere, very friendly personnel. The room was small but nicely furnished and very clean, i.e. the toilet had a hygienic seal. Good breakfast (for an italian hotel).

This little hotel is a short way from the city centre (a 10 minute bus ride, Bus no 27, I think, ask the friendly receptionist). It is possible to walk from the train station to the hotel, however it is a good 1/2 an hour walk if it is hot, with backpacks on! The no. 27 bus goes the same direction, we discovered. We were very happy with our room that was small in size, but very clean and comfortable. We originally booked a room without a bathroom, but when we arrived the receptionist said that this room was not available and so she gave us a room with a bathroom for no extra charge. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I asked for directions into town, especially when I attempted some pigeon Italian! :) The breakfast was probably the best we had in Italy with a huge amount of choice -Croissants, cereals, toast, fruit, coffee, tea, cakes, yoghurts and a lovely cappuchino etc... Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Thank you! Grazie.

The rooms were very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel was further away then I was expecting from the station and not easy to find. It took a while to realise you have to cross to the other side of the station. The breakfast was great.

My room was extremely hot as it seemed to lie over the hot water pipes. Also, changing the temperature in the shower was impossible, and the room was very small. The price was good for Bologna but not good value in general, and the hotel is rather distant from the main sites.

Excellent hotel at a relative near distance from the center of the city. Very quite and charming persons from the top to the cleaning person. No problem with the price. Excellent initiative to include breakfast in the prince and the breakfast as a buffet.

A competitively priced hotel for Bologna, very warm welcome (in English) arriving late. Very spacious, a twin and a single bed for a single booking, and v clean (the toliet had a seal on it to be broken for example). Was probably 10mins+ from the bus/train station in opposite direction from the town centre which was further than I'd expected from the hotel map, although no significant inconvenience. A v good deal.
