After a week of work in Emilia Romagna, I decided to take a day off to visit Bologna with a couple of colleagues. I had been in Bologna before on business trips and wanted to complete my knowledge of this great city. My colleagues and I selected the Art Hotel Corona d'Oro on the Venere Internet site because of its central location, in the heart of main historic sites. We appreciated the comfort and cleanliness of its rooms and breakfast room, as well as the competence and friendliness of its staff.

Excellent location as right in the city centre, clean rooms, but lacking personality. Overall fair experience in the hotel, breakfast in the basement with the windowless rooms was lacking.

The Hotel Corona D'Oro was perfect. Three of us stayed in the room-my sister, myself and my 18 yo niece. We were comfortable, cool (despite blistering heat in late July) and thrilled with the hotel. The location is perfect to the all of the wonders of Bologna and within walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. I can't wait to return to Bologna and I will definitely stay at this gem of a hotel.

We loved this hotel. The room was fantastic and the staff were very warm and welcoming. We especially loved the woman who worked in the breakfast room! She was incredibly warm and friendly; she made the hotel feel just like home!

We drove to Bologna and got lost and rang the hotel and they were extremely helpful in guiding us on how to get to the hotel. Once we arrived we told them we gor marreid the day before (I had my bouquet and other flowers)so they upgarded us to a suite! Wonderful service and great breakfast!.. would defenately stay there again!

Not a cheap hotel but I think very reasonable for the beautiful surroundings.

What a fantastic hotel. The woman at the check-in was super friendly, efficient and welcoming. She made us feel right at home.... giving us our room "early" since it was ready, providing any kind of information that we required about the city. The room was spacious, clean, luxurious. Bathroom amenities first rate. Crisp bedding changed daily. The bowls of candies in the room was a nice touch! Breakfast included was first class.

I was wonderfully surprised and pleased with the hotel and its staff. The room and bath were bright, well-appointed and extremely comfortable. The restaurants suggested by the staff were fantastic! When I return to Bologna I will definitely stay here.

Fabulous hotel in a superb location. If arriving by car ensure you research where to park it before you venture into the town - the one way systems are a nightmare!! Staff were wonderful & their recommendations for restaurants were all superb Planning on a return visit

Very nice and luxurious hotel; the staff is very competent and helpful; and the location is right in the center of Bologna. Overall, this hotel is quality; however, quality has a price and here you paid it.

Great central location. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was large with huge closet and bathroom, free high speed internet via the hotel provided TV and keyboard, or with the guest's laptop. Breakfast was also very good and the service was top notch.

The hotel is conveniently located for the Duomo, Archaeological Museum, and Art Museum. There were many good restaurants nearby.

Bologna was a nice surprise for tourists breaking their journey between Rome and Venice. This hotel was an oasis of calm in the bustle of the city and was astonishingly luxurious and stylish (even in Italy!). Not being a particular tourist destination the staff do not have the same english as might be expected in Venice or Florence but this did not stop them being pleasant and as helpful as they could be. We only stayed in Bologna for the day but the hotel underlined the enjoyment we had in that surprisingly delightful city.

Air conditioning did not work(or was turned off) during Oct. visit in any of our 3 rooms. Impossible to open windows because of noise level so the rooms were incredibly Hot! Staff neglected to inform us that parking garage was closed from 12-1800 hours on Sunday and we could not leave as planned. We were quite upset as was another group. Small sign at desk was not seen by any of us at check in. It is imperative that guests be told at check in about the garage hours!! On the positive side, the hotel was in a great location, the breakfast was terrific, the hotel is lovely, and had the air conditioning worked, our rooms would have been great! Thanks.
