The room assigned to me was in the outbuilding. The room was spacious and clean. there was also a small terrace. Being a two stars hotel it gives the essential things but everything you need. The staff is kind and friendly.

While it is true that the hotel is only 1 km. from the train station, it is important to know that it is BEHIND the station. You can take the 27 bus (A.B, or C) going AWAY from the Centro (downtown area), as the hotel is in a residential section. (However, the 27 does connect the hotel neighborhood with the Centro). The hotel can sell you the bus tickets. The hotel's street is actually between 2 bus stops, so ask the bus driver.

It is an ok hotel to just sleep in. In the morning you actually think that people from other rooms are in your room, you can hear everybody talk, walk, sneeze etc! Breakfast is ok if you go early as staff did not even re-fill items after 9am and you have to cut your own bread! Staff are not welcoming and not helpful just a yes and a no answer is what you get even if we talked to them in Italian! Rooms are clean and towels are not soft at all.

A fine hotel, with very friendly staff, although it would be nice if they spoke more english. Rich, tasty breakfast served in decent hours (7-10) with staff attentive to all the shortages. Hotel situated near to a supermarket, which is a huge advantage. Also located not far from the airport I suppose, because we could hear planes. Very clean rooms. The one point we weren't satisfied with was that they didn't let us print our boarding cards there, instead directed us to the internet point nearby. In general we had a really nice stay.

Arcoveggio is ideal for a short stay because it's well connected with train station with buses (in just 20 minutes it's possible to reach the hotel by feet).

It was impossible to find the hotel based on the map provided. Strongly suggest revision of map - Not even locals could make sense of it. Otherwise a fair deal: nice and clean rooms and friendly staff, although they spoke little English.

I was in room 102. The room was nice and big. The problem being in this room is that you can hear people going up and down the stairs, especially in the morning at breakfast time. The breakfast area was very presentable and food was good, but the area was a bit cramped. The hotel was a ten minute bus ride from the town centre or at least a twenty minute walk for a fit, able person.

I was travelling to Italy for the first time with my 16 year old daughter. I needed to be sure we were in a safe location, particularly when returning to the hotel in the evening. I found the location very safe and convenient. Only about 10 walk from train/bus station. Regular bus service to city centre (about 5-7 mins by bus). Rooms have been completely refurbished. Small but excellent with modern bathroom and spotless. Breakfast was good - buffet of cold meats and cheeses. Unfortunately (for me) they do not provide any wheat free breads, even though I mentioned this in advance. However, as I found through my travels, no where I went in Italy provided this! My tip.... bring your own. I would happily return to this hotel if I revisit Bologna

We arrived in Bologna via train and our walk to this hotel was a bit further than we had anticipated on the map. However, the welcoming kindness by the staff at this hotel made up for these first impression misgivings. The hotel is in a residential area, and a little far from downtown, but once oriented, the walk is very enjoyable and manageable. It is the welcoming attitude and kindness of the staff here that make this a fabulous, first rate hotel option. Very clean with a great breakfast too!

I'd like to say that Hotel Arcoveggio is a wonderful place to stay, cozy. I have no complaint whatsover...On the contrary, everything has been excellent to me...The room was lovely...I stayed 3 nights and 2 with my cousin...We (both) were very pleased with everything...The attention of all staff, and very particular of Franco (the owner), who has been truly kind with me...The breakfast is fantastic. The location, the decoration is lovely and clever with the mirror. If I return to Bologna one day, I will stay at Arcoveggio with no doubt...Also is very close to the central, you could walk or take the bus number 27 (A or B)...There is a simple restaurant nearby which serves see food I do highly recommend it (Sylvanos)... Ha stato veramente ottimo!!!

We both immediately responded positively to the hotel room: high ceilings, plenty of light, comfortable but modern furniture, good bathroom. We were two buildings along from the main section but that was no problem: we liked walking up for breakfast which we found to be excellent. The breakfast room is cleverly designed with lots of mirrors in a narrow room so there's plenty of light and it seems spacious. The bench along one wall contained all that was needed for a good continental breakfast. The location was really good: close enough to the station (a qucik taxi ride) and once there, we walked all the way into the heart of Bologna. The No. 27 buses (27A, 27B and 27C) go all the way into the centre as well and we did take one. An added bonus was an excellent and newly-opened internet cafe in the main road just opposite the hotel street. A good hotel contributed to our enjoyment of our stay in Bologna (lovely city!)

Please note that driving to the hotel following the street signs (after getting off the tangenziale), the indication for Hotel Archoveggio directs you to the completely other side of the main road! You will circulate for hours as all the small road are "one-way"! We finally stopped and got local directions from some very nice old men sitting at their club by the main road.

What we thought was to be a short walk from the station, was a long trek. Having to carry bags up two flights of stairs was a chore we had not expected either. Apart from that the place is efficiently run, if impersonal We received a good nearby restaurant recommendation, Roses, which was welcoming, and good.

A really lovely hotel, with clean, rooms well decorated and modern. We were actually given a double superior for the price of a double standard. rooms were cleaned daily and spotless, and warm. staff were friendly and breakfast was good and served till late. The hotel is in a quiet area so not much traffic noise. The hotel really offered 4 star quality for a 2 star price and we would highly recommend this palce to anyone. It is about a 25 minute walk straight ahead from the historical centre, or a short bus ride (27). the onlhy grumble we had is the location on the map - as usual, venere give totally misleading information in this respest. It shows it as right near the train station, but is actually about a 15-20 minute walk up the road, and right off the map. Location shown on the map was poor and venere should be ashamed of themselves for giving such information! Made egtting to the hotel quite stressful, but luckily, the lovely hotel more than made up for it and we had a lovely stay. Jodie and Terry Parker, UK

Bologna is an expensive city for accomodation and this hotel offers good value for money. The location is ok (a short easy bus ride north from the historic centre) but the staff are superb and the beds very comfotable. The room and ensuite bathroom were very clean and cleaned every day that I was there. Breakfast was served 0730-1000 and is fresh and good. I would strongly recommend this small friendly hotel to anybody.

Nice little hotel in the north of bologna, a bit to far from the city center (25 min walk or short bus ride) to call it central. Nice atmosphere, very friendly personnel. This little hotel is a short way from the city centre (a 10 minute bus ride, Bus no 27, I think, ask the friendly receptionist). It is possible to walk from the train station to the hotel, however it is a good 1/2 an hour walk if it is hot, with backpacks on! The no. 27 bus goes the same direction, we discovered. We were very happy with our room that was small in size, but very clean and comfortable. We originally booked a room without a bathroom, but when we arrived the receptionist said that this room was not available and so she gave us a room with a bathroom for no extra charge. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I asked for directions into town, especially when I attempted some pigeon Italian! :) The breakfast was probably the best we had in Italy with a huge amount of choice -Croissants, cereals, toast, fruit, coffee, tea, cakes, yoghurts and a lovely cappuchino etc... Overall we were very pleased with our stay. Thank you! Grazie.

A competitively priced hotel for Bologna, very warm welcome (in English) arriving late. Very spacious, a twin and a single bed for a single booking, and v clean (the toliet had a seal on it to be broken for example).
