The radiator in our room was banging all night so didn't sleep well. The rooms were too small, TV didn't work and the breakfast was very poor in the morning. Will not be recommending or returning.

The room and furniture were very tired but the cleanliness and price made up for this since we were only staying overnight. The breakfast was self-service. There was plenty to choose from and the hot section was excellent - the chef was very attentive and kept checking the food constantly.

Was the worst stay I've ever had in a hotel as the room next door was extremely loud all though the night playing loud music and shouting, phoned down stairs and they done nothing, have complained though the hotel and it's still ongoing, beds were hard and uncomfortable.

i stayed at this hotel as i went to blackpool with the girls for my 18th birthday. thoroughly enjoyed it here. staff were polite , friendly and made conversation with you that wasn't too serious. breakfast was amazing..think thats what i miss the most! all the food that should be, was hot, tea/coffee was nice, had fresh orange juice, apple juice and water too. great choice of everything. handy that the tram line is right across the road as there isn't really must around the hotel apart from a couple of off licences around the corner which have all the bits and bobs you need however blackpool is around 10-15mins away on the tram. the only thing i was disappointed at was the size of the swimming pool, looks bigger in the pictures than it really is. still a good size though.

First room offered was a smoking room ,but we were moved without any problem. Second room ok but the bed was dreadful, we felt every spring and had a most uncomfortable night. Used the duvets from the bunk beds in the room to sleep on for the second night which was much better.

On arrival entering the hotel we were shocked to see a large que of guests waiting to be booked in. We had to wait for 40min for our room key, when we finally got your room key we made our way to the lift to find that halloween had come early and the cob webbs on the light were there prob, from last years party?. The que for the lift were also a wait and wished we had took the stairs we final got the lift with our bags, the floor lift was wet full of rubbish and an unpleasant odour. Room not very big we were shocked to find the wall paper hanging of the walls in the bathroom and the floor was stained and marked . plug holes rusted and bath with mould. toilet role holder was very corroded . Tap drip drip. later that evening we went down stairs in the bar and after a few drink needed to use the loo. After opening the door to were the facilities were we had a strong smell of urine about the area and we had to vacate the bar . breakfast was a 20 min que again were it was all pushed into a room then we had to que again for actually putting food on our plates. we left the day after . the receptionist was very helpful and apologised and we received are one back for the one night. Our overall experience of the hotel was in my opinion was very poor.

We only paid £35 for a family of 3 inc Breakfast. For this price I did not expect much but I did expect a clean room and a decent breakfast. The room was filthy, the kettle disgusting. The hotel had a funny smell and was very run down. The outside grass areas were dreadful full of cig ends and rubbish! Some of the staff were very polite others were rude and abrupt. I will never stay here again!!

Our room was extremely small and very very drab... the whole place is in need of a lick of paint. We didnt get a wink of sleep due to squeaky floorboards on the corridor and room upstairs- this desperately needs sorting! Our room view was awful- when we looked out of the window we were greeted by scaffolding and fans (which were very noisey!) The good points were the food, the staff and the seaview from the front of the hotel but overall not what I expected from the £80 we paid. Very disapointed!

We requested a double room as there was no facility on line to request a family room [we are 2 adults and a baby, so did not need an extra bed]but i did ring before hand and was told the price of hiring a cot and we would be able to have a room that would accomodate us. Unfortunately on arrival we were allocated a room on an upper floor with 5 sets of stairs! We were given another room , but this was not prepared properly and i felt the staff were unhelpfull.

this was the first time we visited norbreck castle.i was horrified to read all the reviews before we went and was not looking forward to going.when we arrived we were pleasantly suprised at the location and cleanliness of rooms as this was a major issue in the reviews read.the only problem we had was that there wasnt enough car parking spaces available and that the there was only one lift for all 5 floors.some staff were quite snotty and not very helpful where as others couldnt help enough.we did find that the price we paid was a bit much for the rooms but we did book last minute in peak season.we would stay again as the location was ideal to see the lights.
