I booked a night at the Metropole with my partner to see the illuminations. The hotel is in a very good loction but that is the only positive thing I can say. On arriving I was told they didn't have any double rooms avaliable so they had put us up in two single rooms not really ideal on a romantic night away. The rooms were dated, small and tatty.

Was the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. Scum marks in the bath. Dead flies on the windowsill. Large cobwebs visible in many areas. Stay in Blackpool a lot will never return to this one

The hotel was spacious and clean...Our room on the ground floor was nice and clean other than paint peeling off the front windows and very draughty which we since reported owing to the seals needing replacing.... Only thing I didn't like was the long queues in the dining rooms and at times the food was not as hot and it could have been but overall not bad.

Altpuhg the room was quite nice upon arrival I was greeted with a pointed finger to the other receptionist no hello quite rude front desk staff and I requested a twin room on booking but they presumed I wanted a double as there were two of us , they swiftly changed this when I pointed this out also the doorway was crowded with smokers as there didn't seem to be a designated smoking area, breakfast was sufficient and the waiting staff were very welcoming, I would stay there again as luckily I've got a good sense of humour and I found the receptionists quite amusing as they were soooo miserable. Bit of an older clientele but of is Blackpool

we are regular visitors to the Grand Metropole Hotel and what we do know that the service and standards are consistent. The location of this hotel is probably the best on the promenade, very near the tower and easy parking compared to some other hotels on the front

I did not enjoy my stay at the Hotel. I was given an upgraded room on arrival, the bathroom facilities were good in both rooms however the rooms were poor and in need of refurbishment. On entering our double room I was overwhelmed with the smell of stale smoke we left the window open constantly but it did not make any difference. The hotel itself was grubby and didnt feel welcoming however the reception staff were pleasant and efficient. I am pleased we were only staying for one night.

We had a re-furbished room, which was excellent. Some other parts of the hotel require some upgrading, which is presently being addressed. Latest time for dinner at 7.45 seems strange! Food was passable in the separate dining room, but I would have thought it would have been better in this type of hotel. The location is good for the Tower, as we wanted to go dancing in the ballroom. I travelled with my husband for this short break. I would use the hotel again, if only for the location.

i was lead to believe we would be able to get in the room much earlier than we could, we was told on arrival we could not get in the room till after 2.30 witch in my opinion is not acceptable. And upon leaving i was told my bill was £120 unlike the £100 it was when i booked online i refused to pay the extra £20.

Hotel currently being renovated. Rooms facing the road are very noisy - trams and people leaving clubs opposite.
