Very welcoming, staff very helpful, especially guy in bar area. Only slight thing was that tables were uncleared at breakfast and we had to ask for cutlery, etc. Room was clean, nice touch having the fan in room, view was great especially since it was a side room.

From the moment I entered'The Chequers'I just knew I would enjoy this hotel.It is by no means perfect-however the staff are just marvellous.I must thank'Nick,Diane,Jenny and Mark'for a truely memorable stay.Also many thanks to Nick for the lend of his LapTop and to the lovely Diane who booked my concert tickets.Crosby Stills and Nash were fantastic. Can I come back next week please.Russell.

We found the hotel a little pricy, but could not fault the rooms cleanliness and service provided.
