Brayton Hotel - Blackpool

2 star Hotel Blackpool

7-8 Finchley Road Gynn Square - Blackpool

Price starting from £ 120 .24
In the quieter North Shore area of Blackpool, the family-run, The Brayton overlooks Gynn Gardens, a 2.5 acre grassy park with childrens playground, crazy golf and putting greens, and the famous Blackpool Promenade. During the Illuminations, a stretch of the lights are visible from the hotel (For the 2012 season the lights shine from 30th August - 4th November inclusive). There is free on-street parking, generous cooked breakfasts and cosy en suite bedrooms. Just a 20-minute walk or 5-minute tram ride from Blackpool's lively centre, The Brayton Hotel is a mile from Blackpool's North Pier and is handy for Blackpool Tower, The Winter Gardens and a number of the major conference venues. The Hotel is ideally situated for Promenade access by foot or tram or car - one minute's drive so ideal during the Illuminations. Trams stop approximately 50 yards away, and provide convenient regular services to attractions such as Blackpool Tower, The Sea Life Centre. The Pleasure Beach and The Sandcastle Water Park. On request, a free shuttle service to the town centre is available for large groups. The Brayton can also offer secure covered storage for bicycles/motorbikes for guests. The bar has draught lager and cider and a wide range of bottled beverages. There is a pool table and pinball. The Brayton caters for single travellers, couples, families and group bookings but regret that stag and hen parties can not be accommodated. Enquiries from contractors are always welcome - early breakfasts and hearty evening meals can be arranged. The maximum number of adult occupants in a family room is 2. The Brayton is strictly non-smoking - if guests do smoke in a room, then the total cost of deep cleaning the room will be charged. Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Very basic but I guess that's why it was cheap. Okay for an overnight stay if you are out all day and also if you can predict what you want for breakfast the next day as you have to fill in a form the night before!

The welcome was cold and i was not offered an alternative breakfast because i was leaving early . The staircase to my room was very steep and narrow. The decor shabby. The room was very small. The decor was tired and shabby. There was considerable damp damage in the ceiling The en-suite was tiny. The decor old and shabby. The entire hotel needs refurbishment immediately. The "free parking" means you can leave your car on the street. The price is far too high for the service/room provided. I would not reccommend this hotel to anybody.

The location was very good and the staff was very nice. The bed was super comfortable. Very small, but very very comfortable. And the English Breakfast was AWESOME - possibly the best I've had ever. :-) You could fill out a form about what you wanted for breakfast and leave it at the reception area no later than 10pm, and they would make sure it was prepared at the time you wanted, but I left mine past midnight both evenings and I didn't hear a bad word about it. Excellent. Now, about the room itself: Very very small. It wasn't a problem - I only slept there after all. It was clean too. However, the walls were paper thin. I think there were only one room occupied apart from mine (it was the end of the season) so I wasn't bothered by noise from other guests, but one evening I lay awake for a long time and couldn't fall asleep because of water dripping in the shower *in the room next door*. The price was good too, so I wouldn't mind staying there again...but I'd specifically ask for a room with as little chance of noise as possible.

The hotel was excellent for a weekend family break (three generations). The owners offered us a very warm welcome. The freshly cooked breakfast was a very pleasant change from the standard buffet.

Debbie and Laurence made my one night visit to Blackpool for me. They were very welcoming, well-prepared for my arrival and went out of their way to be helpful, even booking taxis and safely storing my luggage prior to my departure. The breakfast was magnificent, with a menu completed the night before and served, piping hot, at the time required. It is well worth staying at the Brayton just for the breakfast! I would have no hesitation in returning to the Brayton the next time I visit Blackpool.

the staff were very welcoming and pleasant,it was easy to come and go, loads of privacy and lovely breakfast, however we were disappointed that there were grey hairs on the bedding and carpet and there was a pen and papers under the bed not sure if room was cleaned properly before we came in, the shower curtain was dirty and black debris was coming out of the hem of the curtain. The room surely needs a new carpet, bedding and shower curtain this will make it a comfy place because their price is reasonable
