I was a little disappointed in the area of the hotel, which really had nothing to do with the hotel itself. I expected the casco viejo to be more historical. Instead it was a completely commercialized area, full of shops and restaurants.

modest hotel with good staff & reasonable facilities. Location in centre of picturesque old town can make it hard to locate - even for local taxi drivers.

Great location and rooms are clean with basic facilities. They could give more detailed directions on how to find them.

This hotel is in a very, very noisy location also quite a lot of internal noise transmission. The decor is a little tired.

everything was perfect except that we can hear clearly what's talking about our neighbour. We've found numerous delicious resturantes in 5 mins walk!

Excellent location, friendly staff, carpark nearby. The only niggle is that the upstairs floors are creaky when walked on.

Excellent location. If you're coming by car put it in the Arenal car park and turn left once inside then the foot exit is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. The Guggenhein is a 10 min walk along the river bank. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby.

Warm, charming, extremely helpful receptionists. Excellent location. Comfortable, modern hotel at a reasonable price. Only minor quibble is that the inlaid floorboards are very squeaky, so that you hear every movement in adjoining rooms and in the corridor. Ear-plugs advisable.

The hotel clerk was very helpful advising me while processing an emergency (because of a general strike) intercity bus reservation via the hotel's internet computer. The hotel is on a very narrow street in the old quarter (Casco Viejo). It is within walking distance of the RENFE station. It is around the block from the streetcar stop which can take you to the Geggenheim museum or the bus terminal (Termibus @ San Mames).

Excellent location in old town but easy access to other parts of Bilbao including Guggenheim and Metro. Excellent boutique shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel.

A hotel situated in the old part of Bilbao and very good access for public transport and the lovely walk along the river to places such as the wonderful Guggenheim Museum - definitely not to be missed! Very friendly staff and would definitely go back there if I visit Bilbao again.

We (4 friends) loved this place! It was friendly, very clean and very quiet and the location was awesome. It's in the middle of Old Town filed with great restaurants and tapas bars and shops - and walking distance to the Guggenheim/Gehry museum! This little hotel is very simple in the decor, but everything you need is there. I would go back.

Staff went out of their way to accommodate every request. All 3 people we dealt with spoke excellent English. I'd come back here if I ever travel to Bilbao again! Skip the breakfast, though. There are several places with a much more interesting selection for less.

My only complaint is that there was no air-conditioning in the room. When I was there I could not remember whether this had been advertised, but now that I have checked the hotel description again I see that it states this is in every room. The weather was very warm and the window of my room opened into a courtyard so the air outside was not very cool and opening that did not help very much. Also from the description it is not clear that the breakfast is not included, that cost 5 Euros extra (I did not have it). In spite of that I thought it was a good value hotel in a nice area of the town.
