Le Petit Hôtel - Biarritz

The location was excellent, couldn't be better. It is evident that the owners are in the process of redecorating and carrying out repairs to the hotel. However, at the time of our visit there was clearly a good deal yet to be dealt with e.g. worn and stained carpets, general decor etc. One other issue was that the wash hand basin was positioned in a way that made it quite difficult to get into the shower.

The location is excellent and it is great value for money in an expensive resort, we had a great room with a balcony but since it is close to a lot of bars you have to be prepared for some noise at night. The Staff were excellent and the only negative comment would be that the carpet in our bedroom could do with cleaning or changing.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for somewhere relatively inexpensive and central in Biarritz. It's location is marvellous, the staff absolutley brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for them and were courteous enough to speak to us, slowly, in French so that we could practise our language skills. Rooms, especilly bathrooms very small indeed. Have often stayed in French hotels, but the bathrooms here were tiny to the point of being almost unusable. Improve them, and this hotel would be almost faultless.

The stairs were very steep & the bathroom & shower left a bit to be desired. The hotel was extremely difficult to find using satnav. It would have been better if they had said you can see the casino carpark from the hotel windows.

Very nice petit hotel,we could see the beach from our room even though that was a bit noisy,lovely all in all clean friendly staff as well. Would recommend it and would go back,only this time I will ask for a quieter room!

A lovely hotel, excellent location next to the beach and centre of biarritz, staff were very helpfull, only fault was the shower/toilet was very small.

A charming little hotel where they make you feel right at home. Friendly atmosphere, a warm welcome and an absolute perfect location(30 sec from the beach, 15 from the casino, 10 from the restaurants). And all this for an excellent price! Ideal for a week-end between friends.

Great Little Hotel for the price you pay. Conveniently located so close to the beautiful beach, which was one of our main criteria. Rooms clean and of a larger size than I have seen in other places in France, though not huge. A bit of background noise can be heard at night as the surrounding area is quite busy, but no real problem for me. Staff lovely and helpful

Me, my husband, and college age daughter drove from Bordeaux to Biarritz for a weekend in December, 2006. We were welcomed warmly and found our room to be clean, spacious and charming. The hotel is centrally located less than one block from the beach and the proximaty to the ocean is breathtaking. We would definitely recommend Le Petit Hotel and would gladly return.
