This was the first time I stayed at Maison du Lierre, and it proved to be a wonderful place to relax for a few days. I was staying by myself, and it was delightful to have a huge bed and my own shower after spending the last few weeks in hostels with bunk-beds and community bathrooms. Obviously, for the quality and room, it cost more than I was used to, but I feel like it was fairly priced for what I got. The room was simple, but neat. I had a nice view out onto the street and huge, beautiful windows. I couldn't get the tv to work, but I didn't really want to watch it anyway. I enjoyed my stay at the Maison, and I would suggest it to anyone else staying in Biarritz who is looking for a nice, quite, simple room.

Hotel is clean and decor is rustic without being old. Staff is very friendly at helpful. There is no staff late at night, however you can use a door code to get in without too much trouble. The neighborhood is just probably on the edge of what is comfortably walkable to old part and the beach areas.
