Hotel Louisiane - Biarritz
1 Rue Guy Petit - Biarritz
877-662-6988Hotel Louisiane provides its guests with excellent services and an elegant setting. In the summertime, you will have the opportunity to sunbathe near the beautiful outdoor swimming pool. As to business travellers, they will be able to rent a fully-equipped meeting room (hosting from 10 to 60 people) and to choose between several catering solutions.

The room was quite hot and having the window open meant noise from the road. anyway it wasn't extremely noisy

Tulip Inn is a nice hotel to stay in for a short trip. The breakfast is excellent. Check out time is before 12:00 h but they don´t have an extra room to store the luggage.

A long, steep climb if you're on foot. Poky bedroom, noisy, irritating low-pitch hum all night long from the air-conditioning; cheap, jerry-built premises, so expect noise from door-slammers, children etc. in other rooms. Restaurant out of service when I visited. Expensive daily parking rate at hotel, parking spaces difficult to find outside, and steep rates. Elevator JUST fits 2 people and a case each.

Restaurant was not available (exists only in Marketing pamphlets. Rooms extremly noisy (round about with a lot of trafic the whole night). As no A/C or ventilator available, you have to choose between noise (open windows) or hight temp. (closed windows). Continental Breakfast very good (outstanding).

Quite noisy room with heavy traffic outside. The staff started cleaning the breakfast restaurant more than one hour before closing, turning chairs on the tables etc. which was quite irritating. Easy, short walk to central Biarritz

Rooms were compact in modern french tradition, but funtional, clean and quiet. Ensuite was excellent with good fittings and self supporting shower (ie did not have to be and held)Open wardrobe,in an alcove, was ok once we had adapted to the idea. Buffet Breakfast was 9 euros per person, but turned out to be excellent value with great variety and never ending supply. Hotel in good residential location with bus stops (for both directions) 50 metres round the corner. Also Champion Supermarket within 100 metres and 4 small restaurants within 250 metres. Situated a 10 minute walk to central Biarritz, downhill going and uphill coming back. We did not mind this. Overall, an excellent venue for the price. (NB Bus Fare from airport is 1.20 euros with Bus Stop 50 mtrs from the hotel/ However, bus service finishes at 7.30pm)

Overall the hotel is exceptable for what you pay but the only disappointing aspect from our point of view was the so called bar. Firstly it is located within the dining room and secondly it only opened when the dining room was open ie not before 6.30 in the evening. The meals in the hotel were very good and reasonably priced, for Biarritz, and the staff very efficient. Overall good value if you dont want a drink

Price was excellent, staff were excellent.... very friendly and helpful. Only a short walk into cenrte and down to beach. Bus from aiport drops you off outside hotel and picks you up there also. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Clean, comfortable and pleasant hotel, charming and helpful staff. Only complaint: they weren't too hot on early morning calls, I only got one out of 3 requested. I would certainly go back. Be warned that cabs are horribly expensive in Biarritz. The bus does indeed go door to door, hotel to airport, and I went back to the airport by bus. I can strongly recommend both Biarritz and the Tulip Inn Louisiane.

No air conditioning and windows blocked by security glass pane. Rooms very hot and airless in mid-summer. Small but adequate room, noisy as on corner of two busy streets. Walk to beach 15 minutes downhill but quite a climb uphill in heat. Directions to hotel need to be improved.

Ideally situated in the heart of Biarritz, this hotel served our needs perfectly. Unbelievable value for money, we weren't expecting such a clean, well kept and modern building. 3 minutes walk from the centre of town, we couldn't have asked for better. One bit of advice is not to take a taxi from the airport, but take bus no. 6 into town and get off at the Guy Petit stop, 50 metres from the hotel. This should save about 16 euro each way.

Endroit très agréable. Chambres propres. Piscine est un plus. Avoir la volonté de marcher un peu le soir en rentrant car c'est un peu sur les hauteurs. Rapport qualité prix extrèmement favorable. Y reviendrais avec plaisir.

A pleasant stay, the facilities were as expected and the staff were efficient. Well situated for a gentle stroll to the centre and beach. As long as I have somewhere clean and warm to sleep, clean my teeth in the morning and a bit of breakfast if I need it, a hotel doesn't have to be a luxurious palace. How much time do you spend in a hotel after all. These premises fitted my needs adequately. Good value.

This hotel was ideal for exploring Biarritz - an easy walk to the centre of town. The bus stop to the airport is directly outside the hotel . Meals in the restaurant were very good. Bar prices were a bit high but that is the case in most hotels. The staff in the bar and restaurant were excellent. We enjoyed our stay despite having three days of bad weather.

Good hotel with nice pool and grass area in a quiet residential area about 10 mins from the centre of town.A good price for the type of hotel and the walk although up hill from the centre of Biarritz is no problem but maybe for those a little that cannot master the hills but quickly enough via the pathways.About half an hours stiff walk from the railway station so a taxi or bus from the station recommended.Shame the door locks are not easier to close making those who are not so aware of fellow residents slamming the doors but overall a good choice and would stay again.

Hotel was okay but being situated at the top of town it means a long uphill walk back from the centre. Staff were pleasant enough but very mean with the teamaking facilities and other beverages were only available from a machine. The shower was excellent and room good.

The hotel was great, centrally located, lovely views and really cheap. The rooms were a good size, comfortable and there was a buffet breakfast, not included in price, extensive but expensive. Biarritz is a beautiful town and in October, not as expensive as summer/tourist period.

The reception area wasn't welcoming and the room was quite small. The toilets didn't flush properly and were broken on the 3rd day. Some channels on the television set didn't have sound. I start having bug bites all over my body after the first night. I suspect I got them in the bed. The breakfast buffet wasn't very exciting for 8 Euros. So the overall was quite disappointing for a 3-star hotel. I guess it explains why the rate was cheap. I wouldn't recommend.

Good location and easy to find from the airport. Very welcoming on our arrival. Found the room very basic but adequate and clean. Restaurant OK, but nothing special - did not have breakfast. Disappointed that the rate from venere was much higher than the advertised rate at the hotel - by booking we through venere we had to pay much more than booking dierct or just turning up.

It was great to have ajoining rooms but we only found out about them when we arrived. The parking was very useful but again we only found out about it when we arrived. More photographs are required in the advertising. But in general the accom and food were excellent, very good value, superb waiter service.
