Very enjoyable stay - owners are very nice and helpful and the little dog - American Spaniel called Ping is very cute and welcoming as well. Highly recommended - location is very central and cost reasonable considering location is Biarritz. Gays should love the pink exterior.

There was an electric toilet which was noisy and was therefore best not be flushed at night. The staff were competent but not overly helpful. Soundproofing from floor above was not good.

Good hotel Very quite, very good room space, just 4 - 5 blocks from city centre has all the requirements for a low price stay. Free WiFi, but people on desk were not much "technological" so last two days no way to access to internet. No people on desk after 8 PM, so for late arrivals you have to coordinate before and for other problems don't know how to proceed. If you are looking for a good price, well located place, with basics requirements to just "lay in your bones", go to Gardenia!!!!

The Hotel was very central only 5 to 10min walk to the shops and beach we stayed in the hotel for 7nights very clean,quite and great value, plenty hot water. we found the lady owener a bit distant not very friendly her Husband was much friendler even though he hadnt much english, Biaritz is a beautiful place we had a great time would recomend the Hotel

The Hotel is situated quite close to the city center and to the Ocean beaches. But it is far enough from the central roads and from the Ocean waves that provides an absence of extra noise, except the songs heared in evening time from some public building situated near by. The room's dimensions correspond to the modest price on it.

I'm absolutely satisfied with my choice of hotel Gardenia as well as Biarritz itself as a destination for vacation, and having a chance to go back to Biarritz will definetely book this hotel again. The ratio between location (10 min walk to the downtown, beaches, casino, etc.,at the same time is a quite street next to nightlife area), services, staff welcome, and price is perfect, yet cosy family environment and spirit is very much appreciated for both short and long stay.Romantic pink Gardenia reminds pink house of Claude Monet in Zhiverny! Biarritz is a perfect spot in the French Basque Country, the best destination for doing and learning surf, good food, long walks along the shore with outstanding views, shopping, entertainment, etc. This place attracts much to come back.

this hotel was great - we are two mid twenties girls who had a twin room, it was clean and spacious, quite a climb up the stairs but a very pleasant place, great location close to both of the beaches and also the town centre. We would definitly stay there again.

I stayed here for two nights, I thought the Hotel was very clean and tidy and located in a pleasant tree lined avenue close to the sea and the town centre, Biarritz is a beautiful clean friendly town with some wonderful beaches and as for eating I did find a very nice restaurant five minutes walk from the hotel. My only complaint would be that I found them to be a little unfriendly at breakfast.

The only thing we missed were bedside lamps as we all like to read before bedtime! There were only one in the room for 3 guests.

the hotel owner (receptionist) was totally unhelpful andoften unwilling to be friendly and help us with our requests,even a simple thing like where breakfast had not been pre ordered,she was very unhelpful.Would not even rate the breakfast,better to eat out

This hotel has a perfect location..around 5 minutes walk from the Grande Plage and also from the shops. There is a boulangerie at the end of the street where we got breakfast for a very reasonable price evry morning. We didn't use the hotel's breakfast facility because it wasn't included in our price and we were on a very small budget!Really good quality hotel for the price though.

Rooms are small, parking difficult but well situated for access to the seafront, promenade and main tourist areas.Limited facilities but price reflects this.

Annie was very welcoming. We arrived late on Friday night and she left us a key and welcome letter. Very easy going and 'home from home' atmosphere. I would definetely stay here again. Chilled out.

no ensuite room was available (there was a toilet but no shower in the room) so we had to share a shower with quite a few other people. To use the shower a key had to be obtained from reception which was ok if the reception was open but was generally a pain. however, for the price we were paying, it was far better than camping!

Only 2-star rated, but very clean, quiet and modern rooms (but no air conditioning), friendly staff and good location: Only 5 minutes walking distance to the beach or downtown. The price/quality relationship is very good.

Small rooms, no cleaning after 12pm, they forgot to change our towels, and when 3 of them disappeared during cleaning they thought it was us... how kind! In Biarritz you can find better things at same price.

Lovely well kept small hotel, located in a quiet street but in a good central location for exploring the town. Room was tidy and comfortable with small balcony, although bathroom a little cramped. The owners were lovely people and very helpful during our stay. Great value for money.

Gardenia was very clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and accomidating, even though communication was difficult as they don't speak a word of English. The location is great! It's near the beach, the market, the grocery store and the bus stop from the Airport. I was very pleased at the value for money! But I'd take a pass on the 5.50 euro breakfast as the croissants from local patisseries are a fraction of the price and they are to die for!
