This was our first time to Biarritz and it was fantastic! We felt very lucky to have found this hotel - it was in the ideal location and is just a little jem. The owners are super nice and helpful and its worth the upgrade to a view room with a balcony - one bottle of champagne on the balcony instead of at a bar and its paid for!

The hotel is perfect, overlooking the sea, a few meters away from the old harbour on one side and another few meters from the beautiful beach at the Casino. The square Ste Eugenie is also a wonderful lively place with lots of cafe and restaurant terrasses. We still would not recommend this hotel as it is not at all sound proof and you can hear everything from the other bedrooms and the corridor. Even the plumbing is noisy! We stayed 3 nights and could not sleep during our stay. we then spent 4 nights in the Alcyon which was a dream and...cheaper!

Very good view of the sea, short walking distance to the beach. Good location for eating out.Very limited breakfast but you could eat all you wanted of what thy provided. Light house is well worth a visit great view from top. Biarritz a great place . Hotel overall was very good as we had a sea view room.

Fabulous hotel and location. Only problem is if you have a room at side of hotel facing church. There is a grassy area between church and hotel, which unfortunately doubles as public dog fouling area. Also at night people also urinating here. Pretty unpleasant and could spoil things if you wanted to sit out on your balcony. Not the hotel's fault, but something to bear in mind nonetheless.

From motorway A63 take exit Bayonne/Biarritz and folow direction centre ville city centre.

By train
Biarritz is easily accessible from Paris by France's high-speed train, the TGV.

By airplane
The nearest airport is Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne, about 2,4 miles/4 km away from the city centre. A free shuttle is available from Pau airport to the hotel until the 31st March 2008 for a 2-day minimum stay.
