Palm Hotel - Béziers

Will not advice it to anybody. Terrible. Though we are young couple and not looking for extra luxuries, we never stayed at the hotel like this. Room - is like on a ship, very small. Location - at some industrial area in the suburbs of Beziers (aprox 10 min by car from city centre). And the city is not good itself, by the way. So if you're a traveller, interested in Castles and Cathar history, you'd better not go there, France has places much better that this. the only joy - is the reception lady - she was very helpful!

Budget hotels in France seem to be being built in industrial estates - so not an attractive environment. Very mixed clientele - families with children, mature couples, but perhaps mainly business people (many white vans). Excellent staff, pleasant and helpful, all seeming to work very hard to make the most of the facilities. Rooms small but this would have been fine except for the size and design of the bathroom. A pity because the staff really were doing a good job

Je recommande cet hotel car peu cher avec de belles prestations: piscine magnifique, dejeuner devant la piscine(petit dejeuner impeccable grand choix de produit) possibilité de prendre l'apéro devant piscine et palmiers. interieur propre, jolie, grande tv dans salon ou on peut se restaurer le midi, le matin . hotel dans zone commerciale, peu de bruit externe , quant au bruit eventuel interieur cela est surtout du au manque de respect et d'education des touristes qu'a la qualité d'insonorisation de l'hotel! Car rentrer a l'hotel à minuit en parlant a voix haute avec les enfants qui courent dans les couloirs cela se produit meme avec une insonorisation extreme . je conseille vivement cet hotel , nous y avons sejourné en couple avec notre enfant de 2ans.

Le manque de service Restaurant le vendredi soir était pour nous un inconvénient

I was satisfied with our stay, everything ok. Only one detail: the room had an unpleasant smell of cigarettes and there was no curtain in the shower! Otherwise good.

I had heard in advance two main things about this hotel, and they were both spot on. The staff are 100% excellent, but the hotel is based on an industrial estate, out of town. I have to say that the staff are amongst the friendliest, most helpful hotel employees I have ever come across. The restaurant was reasonable and the bar was laid back, and opened relatively late for the locality. I speak a fair bit of French,and it was very helpful for me, as Beziers is not particularly touristic, and English is not really widely spoken away from the coast. In summertime, I would say this would make an ideal base. There is a outdoor pool, a bar and a restaurant, and you are within easy reach of all the main transport routes. You are about about 15/20 minutes from beaches or lovely countryside villages. The choice is yours, we did both! Cap D'Agde is within easy reach, and the lovely inland village of Servian is a pleasant drive away. The roads are quiet, but I would strongly suggest that you pick up a car on arrival at the airport (we used Avis, pre-booked) . The airport itself is really chilled out, and is just ten minutes drive from the Palm Hotel. There are no facilities beyond the check in, so take your time and enjoy the excellent Cafe Creme before going through. We had a great time, even out of season. Give it a go!!
