Hotel Granvelle - Besançon

Clean, comfortable hotel in good location to see the old town on foot. The room was a little small. but I guess that we didn't pay much for it. Friendly staff. I'd stay there again.

Clean, spacious, quiet room with air con. Helpful, friendly staff. V close to Citadelle but not too far from town centre. No room safe or minibar and no lift. Would stay there again.

The difference between the real location and the location indicated on the map (near Boulevard Leon BLUM) is very important. At least 5 km !!

A larger wardrobe with the possibility of hanging clothes on hangers would be nice. The staff was notedly friendly and helpful.

Cheap, clean and quiet. Close to the citadelle. Very happy with everything!

It is a fairly cheap hotel, we booked for one night and that's a bit short to write a complete review. All in all we were happy with our stay and surely we could or would have stayed longer in this hotel without regrets. It is not a 5-star hotel, we knew that when we booked.

ok for a night...

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay (only one night) at this charming hotel in the heart of Besançon (centre of the old town)! You can park your car in the court of the hotel right at the entrance, so reception has always a look on it. The parking costs only 4€, that's great. We were welcomed very friendly, they give a lot of information about where to eat, where to go...even if you haven't a lot of time. Communication in English is possible without any problems! The rooms, as well as the whole town, have an unforgettable personal character with typical French charm. Everything was clean and quite! You can explore the most beautiful part of the town easily by walking, as everything seems to be near...pubs, restaurants, parcs and so on. If we go back to Besançon we surely will stay at the same hotel. We highly recommend it!

It was very comfotable stay for me at this hotel,room,meel,reception,evrything good enough exept the location .It is so far from the station to this hotel by your foot. So you will better to have citybus(nomber 10)from the station to Place V.Hugo then you can reach the hotel after 500 meters walk.

I stayed at hotel Granvelle during only one night, but it was sufficient to appreciate the quality of their welcoming ! The price of the breakfast is not included in the price of the room, about 7 euros for one person.

Small, friendly hotel with a cosy feel to it - Staff made me feel welcome - Great breakfast -and central to everything - I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and I would definitely go back .Great value for money .

Hotel Granvelle is well located, near the historic areas but on a quiet street. The room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Parking in the hotel courtyard was convenient and reasonably priced. We were very satisfied with out experience.

Atmosphere in hotel and kindness of staff made us feel very welcome. Place is quiet but best basis to walk for sightseeing (Zitadelle).
