Our stay in Bern was a total joy and that began at Hotel Jardin. The owner could not have been more welcoming and invited us to use the internet gratis, which we greatly appreciated. In the morning, the breakfast room was very inviting and the hostess very pleasant. All the food offered was fresh and delicious. We definitely consider it our "home" in Bern. Julie Smart

The personal attention to our comfort and accommodations for 3 nights, from the look alike brother owners, exceeded any other hotel or pension that we stayed at in our 4 weeks of travel in 5 adjoining countries. The restaurant was friendly, convenient, and had good food. There was a bit of a walk to the center of town though.

The room was spacious and as advertised. It was exceptionally clean and well attended to on a daily basis.The bed was comfortable & towels were changed daily. The hotel was on the #9 tram which went directly to the old town, shopping, and sights. The breakfast staff was very attentive and the food was good. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel if visiting Bern.

This hotel is somewhat off the beaten path outside the city center. It is quieter, which is important to me. I stayed alone in a double with twins. It was clean, if somewhat worn, and safe. The price was very reasonable for Bern and Switzerland. I had previously stayed in the city in another hotel. It was much louder, the room was not clean, and it was much more expensive. Jardin represented a much welcome improvement!

Within walking distance to Rosengarden: beautiful park with panoramic view of the old city from nice restaurant up on the hill. The old town is within 2 tram stops. The breakfast was great.

Very nice hotel, very close to the city centre with the tram stopping 200 metres from the hotel. The area is residential and very quiet, and my room was very big for one person. It is also only ten minutes walk from the Stade de Suisse football stadium. There is no air conditioning, however.

How to reach Hotel Jardin
By car
Take the highway exit Bern-Wankdorf and follow the indications to the city centre (Zentrum). Pass the football stadium, turn right at the Guisanplatz crossway and after 50 metres turn left into Militärstraße.
By train
From the railway station take tram line 9 (in direction Guisanplatz) and get off at Breitenrainplatz. Finally walk for 300 metres towards the army buildings and then turn left into Militärstraße.
By airplane
From Zurich airport take the train to Bern and follow the indications above.
