Hotel Pension Bella - Berlin

We especially loved the location of the Pension Bella, very close a number of lovely cafes/bars, and to the the Ku-Damm and the attractions of "West Berlin". Our only criticism was of the breakfast which was a bit tasteless.

Very nice hotel, located in a good neighborhood. Not very close to downtown Berlin, but easily accessible by public transportation (bus, U-bahn, S-bahn). I would definitely stay there again.

A lovely little B&B-style Hotel, with very friendly staff. Don't let reports of the staff's lack of English put you off, they did their utmost to make sure I had everything I needed, from providing city maps to offering lots of travel advice despite their limited English. The rooms are small, but very clean, and the building has great character. Given that continental breakfast is included, the room rate is very reasonable, and the location is great - a very short walk to the Zoologischergarten station and a whole range of city buses, including a bus straight to and from Tegel Airport. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily stay here again.

A very pleasant and quiet place, well situated, marred only by 2 problems. We had a double room but only one key. Fine if you both get back at the same time but not if you do not. AND made a bigger problem because: For most of the time we were there (4 nights) there was no staff on duty. So, if you turn up without a key and ring the bell you cannot get in.

This is a quirky, really traditional German pension in a great spot at really good prices. Although the furniture in my room badly needed updating, it was clean and a scary fraying flex on a lamp was replaced the next day. I speak good German and found them welcoming. There's a nice honour system with cold drinks in the breakfast room, breakfast was fine and my bathroom had a balcony. Downsides - the lift is terrifying (but safe) and as there's no reception at nights, it can feel a bit creepy going down poorly lit corridors to your room. Cash is preferred.

Unfortunately they did not have any simple city maps to offer to the customer - and my wife found the room a bit cold in the beginning.

Pension Bella is located very quietly - we couldn't hear any traffic. When we come to Berlin again, we would use the same pension.

Nice and small hotel in 4 º floor of a precious house in the pretty neighborhood of Wilmersdorf. Good breakfast, but it might be better. Very good situation near a nucleus of communications so importantly in Berlin like Zoologischer Garten. Therefore very easy and rapid to move from there to any point of the city.

La pensione si trova all'interno di un grandissimo palazzo, dista 10 minuti a piedi dalla passeggiata berlinese e dalla metro. La reception è la stessa sala dove ogni mattina viene servita la colazione. Quest'ultima continentale e non troppo abbondante. All'arrivo vengono consegnate le chiavi di ogni stanza, ciò da la possibilità di rientrare a qualsiasi orario senza problemi. Alla reception con grande stupore abbiamo trovato una ragazza che capiva e parlava l' italiano. Le camere sono molto spaziose (Io avevo chiesto una doppia ed all'arrivo mi era stata riservata una camera per 4 persone). Solo la disposizione del bagno non era ottimale in quanto risultava essere diviso a metà (2ambienti separati): la doccia separata dal resto del bagno. Nella zona dove si trova la pensione non abbiamo trovato i locali più famosi. Per raggiungerli occorre spostarsi con un taxi. Nel complesso valutando il rapporto qualità\prezzo l'alloggio è conveniente.

It would have been nice if the owners could speak English. Further, the cleaning of the floor in the room could be improved. But all in all we have rated the place with a "5", because we thought it was a very recommendable place for the price. About the English: They had a very nice girl speaking English, but she was not there every day.

Shower was placed beside your bed in the bedroom. No chair. Breakfast was good.

Try to avoid room number 9. It is the only small one at the end of the long corridor.

buona pensione,a 7 minuti a piedi dalla passeggiata berlinese,colazione abbondante inclusa nel prezzo,stanze larghe,proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile.A noi che arrivammo alle 8 di mattina dopo 1746 km di auto dopo aver viaggiato tutta la notte la signora ci offri spontaneamente la prima colazione.Inoltre per il posto auto si paga giusto 6 euro x 2 giorni interi.La domenica gratis.Lo consiglierei a chi non ha pretese particolari.

We enjoyed our stay very well, and we will probably return sometime..

This was a very nice property, Rooms were exceptionally large. It is in easy walking distance to Zoo Station, also there is a bus just out the door. Good value.
