I enjoyed very much the domestic type of the hotel, the polite employees, the location. I was satisfied with the breakfast it had enough choice for vegetarian too.

Nette und tüchtige Angestellte. Das Hotel liegt zentral in Berlin. Trotzdem sind die Umgebungen ruhig. Das Frühstücfk war sehr gut.

Most of the staff was friendly and eager to help. The breakfast was very good . Neighborhood is quiet and upper-middle-class. Negatives were no phone and no one on duty during part of each day. Overall- I would stay there again. Berlin was extremely interesting and vibrant. Hotel was a good value for the money.

One must not expect any luxury in this Hotel. But it is quiet, well located, clean, cheap and it offers a good breakfast. Ideal for families.

The hotel in an old building was easy to find. There are many restaurants in the area and it is located within an easy walking distance to shops, train station and area attractions. The room (triple) with very high ceiling was spaceous, vacant-looking and old. There was no phone in the room but the staffs were very accommodating to use the phone at the desk (no charge)and also gave us a pot of hot water in the evening for making tea. The breakfast was good.

The entrance is horrible, the elevator is horrible. No reception in the entrance we have to looking for when we get inside

The overall experience with this hotel was positive. The staff members were nice and helpful. The rooms were a bit less than what I had expected, but they are fine for the price, especially considering the great location of the property.

The greeting upon our arrival was very unfriendly. The room itself was ok, but the bathroom too small; when you bend over the washing basin you necessarily bump into the door. Breakfast was rather mediocre. The location near Kurfürstendamm is very convenient.

The hotel is in an old apartment house, which is partly renowed to hotel rooms. Our room was wery quiet, clean, good beds, good bathroom. There was not a refrigerator, which was the only lack in the room. The situation is good, near Kurfurstemdam. We will stay again in Hotel Wieland when comming back to Berlin.

We had a very pleasant experience at Wieland hotel. It has an ideal location in Berlin, less than a block from the Kurfürstendamm. Very good transport connections, nice places to eat in the area. We had a big, very well illuminated room with a balcon to the street. Breakfast was very decent and staff friendly.

A nice hotel in a quite place, close to Savigny place and great restaurants like Jules Verne. Ask for a room in the first floor, altough some are quite small... We were there with another couple who got a bigger room and cheaper!!

For this price (79 Euro per night and room) you get normally a really nice hostel/hotel in berlin. But Wieland was a very unkomfortable hotel with old and damaged furniture and a very unpleasent lobby.

Fantastic loctaion. Very nice, clean spacious rooms, newly renovated in modern style, without ruining the old style.

Our family (2 adults and a 15 year old)spent 7 nights here and had a triple room which was spacious - a double and a single bed, couch and chair - with large windows overlooking the street. This is a period apartment building with loads of character. The reception is on the 3rd floor so you need to buzz to get in. The breakfast was wonderful with many varieties of meats, cheeses, breads, cereals and yougurt. The neighbourhood is wonderful with restaurants galore and the S-bahn only 2 blocks away. Try the Ali Baba for wonderful pizzas and Reste Fidele for great French cuisine. We would stay at this hotel again.

We paid for the stay in total (3 nights)the first day and got a receipt for this. The lady who worked when we checked out asked us to pay for the stay. We said that it had been paid already and she had to call to check this with the manager (who received the money). We showed her the receipt but she still had to check. This gave us a very bad last impression of a nice stay. If we`had lost our receipt, they would probably not have registered the payment and the whole situation felt humiliating. Worst of all, she didn`t even apologize to us so we had to tell her that she owed that to us,- pretty bad service! Two of us have worked in a hotel reception earlier and this is definitely not how to treat the guests.

We reserved a non-smoking double room but when we arrived we got a very-very large superior room with 3 beds, unfortunately a smoking one. As we reported this they appologised and said that they'd run out of rooms (so we didn't have to pay more) and they came around with a special smoke-vainishing spray (it worked quite well). Location is great, easy to reach with public transport, near to everything but not directly on the main road. Not all the staff speaks english but everybody is very friendly and they manage to understand you (and are very happy if you know a few German words). Breakfast is great, also for a vegetarian. Hint: try the honey :-). I'll choose this hotel again. The front desk closes at 20:00 so if you want to check-in later, they leave the hotel keys on your name at a nearby petrol station. This works perfectly, don't be afraid of it.

The floor in our room was dirty although the rest of the room seemed clean. The managers were not at all serviceminded, a question of whether it was possible to leave our luggage at the hotel after check-out was anwered very rudly. A luggageroom was not available.

Room # 1 which I had for the first 3 nights was tiny and to have the window open could almost decapitate one when getting into and out of bed. The telephone service apptly. gets cut off on Sundays. written messages did not get delivered. I suggest they clean up the entrance and stairhall. Has anyone from Venere ever checked this hotal out? On Sunday there was no one who spoke either German or English.

Very nice hotel, spacious rooms and nice bathrooms. We arrived late in the evening after the front desk was closed, but the staff made an arrangement so that we could get in at the hotel anyway. The staff was very helpful, but if the guests don't speak or understand german, it will be a little tricky to communicate. Anyhow, the hotel stay was very nice, and we would surely stay at hotel Wieland at our next visit to Berlin also!

Thanks to another clients comment, I was able to locate the hotel properly before arrival. Published map is approximately 3 blocks off. Better identification of nearest S bahn stop would have been heplful. In general, property exceded my expectations.

although I specifically requested in writing a quiet room, was given one beside the main entrance door and in front of the reception. given alternate room with worn dirty carpet. I noted that duvets looked like they were very old and not laundered for a long time. scaffolding outside is off-putting but work not yet started.
