My name is Franceska and my stay on the sickinger hotel was very nice,in a great location, easy walking distance to the bus and train station.The hotel,room and bathroom was very clean. You find not better hotel for this price

Hotel is centrally located,district Tiergarten,only 4 Bus stops to the Brandenburger Gates. The room and bathroom was clean,the breakfast was very good.Nicolas

Hotel have now aircondition, Is very small bathroom. Much traffic all the time, soo problem to sleep white thw windows is open. Recepstion is closed all the time, open too the breakfast. I will not come back to this hotel.

This hotel is cheap but very clean and the beds were comfy. I did book a double room, but got a twin room, the beds pushed together easily enough though. The man who gave us the room may have thought we were just friends however. Also I don't remember thinking I was booking a shared bathroom, so make sure you know as far as I could tell, there was no ensuite rooms for the rate we got at least. Its very convienient if your travelling in from the northern airport -tegel, we weren't though, we came in from sxf, which is a bit of a trip. the train line is very close, and is extremely regular. All in all, if you are just after a clean bed, somewhere easy to public transport and cheap this is the place... If you want your own bathroom and luxury, I'd suggest lift your budget! :)

A very nice hotel with good price/quality. Rooms are rather small but clean with good beds. Train station nearby. Exploring Berlin from here can be recommended.

The location, 100 meters from bus and metro stops, was excellent. The price to quality of the room itself ratio of this budget hotel was about right as well. No air conditioning or fan in the middle of a heat wave made the room hard to sleep in. No hot water, only luke warm but given the heat, that was OK. The big issue is being located on the corner of perhaps the two loudest streets in Europe, lots of heavy traffic. We got industrial strength ear plugs and slept much better after that first night. They do have a few rooms that do not face the street, try to get one of them. In the morning, the lady who serves the breakfast is also the desk clerk and spoke zero English except to communicate that we would have to talk to the night clerk. This is the first Venere hotel that I have used travelling extensively in Europe the last 3 years that I would not return to.

Everything was OK, Hotel is near an Sban station and a Bus service to the city center every 10 min, so no problem with getting to and from. Hotel staff is helpful and nice. Just a bit noisy neighborhood but it didn't cause any problems. Overall it's a great bargain for this price

Very nice stay! We arrived late and were received very kind and friendly.Hotel staff showed us everything and explained everything to us.The Brandenburger Gate is very close to the Hotel, breakfast was also delicious! in all: i´m very satisfied!

Location is very close to S bahn station and bus station for Tegel airport. The room and bathroom were very small but clean. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly.

Hotel is near S banhof station, cca 100 m. Personal was very enjoyable and helpfull.

If coming from Berlin-Schonefeld its useful to know that the quickest route is to take a train direct to Hauptbahnhof and then the TXL bus service which stops about 50m from the hotel. This is not made clear from train station maps, but this route will save at least a good half hour and a great deal of walking between stations.

Room very small and problems for cleanliness of room and bathroom. Bathroom "lacedemonian" (poor), problems with hot water.

This is a basic hostel. I would like to rate the stay higher relative to the type of accomodation. For a basic hostel style place that is cheap, with good service and a good breakfast, this is the place. The shower and toliet are in the hall, but we never found a problem with them being unaccessible. There is no lift so if you cannot take your suitcases up one floor this is not the place for you. Location is pretty accessbile by underground and tram, although better web instructions are needed to get from rail stations to hotel, as its easy, but hard to get correct information from bus informaton (TXL bus). Breakfast very good. Rooms small and basic Some restaurants in area. Area is basic but safe. TXL bus takes you straight to major sites and to major train station. Clientele was all mature clients when we were there....

Only stayed three nights but with no AC we had to have the window open, as a result we nearly had carbon monoxide poisoning from the extremely busy main road outside! Didn't get a wink of sleep ever through ear plugs. The breakfast woman was nice and thats about it...

A due minuti a piedi dalla fermata della S-Bahn collegata alla U-Bahn. In bicicletta ci si mettono 20 minuti per arrivare sotto la porta di Brandeburgo. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è eccellente, come la gentilezza dei proprietari. Ottima scelta per visitare la città in un albergo con i prezzi da ostello. Raccomandato.

It's a very nice hotel, it's perfect for people who are doing a citytrip in Berlin because it's basic, small but very clean. The people are very helpfull and friendly. The hotel is very easy to find if you are coming by S-bahn and there is a diner(bakery) next to the hotel. It was super!!!!

All personal has been very kind.

We stayed in a 5 bed room, which is at the ground floor and in front of a cross-way. The noise was not so loud and the service provided was excellent. The room was clean, the bathroom in the room was very confortable, we had a Tv system with lots of channels, the people who work there are very very kind.

Very basic room, although for €40 to be expected. Nice breakfast, lovely staff. On a main road, so fairly noisy, with a bit of backpackers noise. beds were a little uncomfortable.

Ask for a room away from the main roads as traffic is heavy and starts early in the morning. The walls are extremely thin, be prepared to hear your nieghbours activities. Bring a large towel and shampoo. This aside you can expect very good value for your money, a decent breakfast, a very friendly service and just a very short walk to the nearest S Bahnhof. Also, the kebabs from across the road are very good. PS: The S45 will not get you straight to Beusselstrasse, you will need to get onto either the S41 or S42 depending on from where you are travelling.

Excellent staff and breakfast. The room was a triple room located on the first floor. The hotel is located near Besselstrasse Station so in about 15 minutes you can reach Alexanderplatz. Nice atmosphere and we will highly recomend this place!.

Small hotel with very helpful staff as they let us check in earlier than normal. Rooms are small and basic but good value for money.

Simple but clean and neat rooms. Staff was very, very helpful and friendly! For the price that we paid, this hotel was better than our expectations.

Was OK as a place to sleep - quiet and clean. However, VERY small, especially the bathroom. I'm a small person, but I found it quite difficult to manouevre myself around this space! The staff, however, were lovely. Was a no frills place to stay and served its purpose as a place to sleep when spending the days out and about.

1. Locatio is great - half a block to bus stop for TXL Bus to/from Tegel, half a block to S-Bahn Station, block and a half to Post Office with ATM, half a block to Auto ClassicDepot with its huge display of restored autos for sale.. 2. Hot water heaters for shower hot water are no good. Shower water is all hot or all cold. 3.The breakfast was very nice with excellent service. 4. No elevator but Michael very kindly helped the ladies carry their luggage upstairs. 5. This is not a resort hotel but it is a good place to sleep and eat breakfast with a pleasant staff at a, comparitively, very low price.

The service at the hotel is excellent, the employees are very nice and friendly. They provide not only an excellent customer service but also a lot of information about the city. We had breakfast at the hotel which by the way was served prompted. It was a nice start of the days, it is always nice to find a friendly face who takes care of your needs. The hotel is very well connected to the city center, the bus station as well as the S-Bahn are just few steps from the hotel entrance. It is not a luxury hotel, but it's good choice on a budget.

El hotel está bien conciderando que en la época que fui ya no quedaba disponibilidad en todo berlín. Está justo a pasos de una estación de trenes que nos comunicaba con el centro de la ciudad en pocos minutos. Las habitaciones limpias, lo único que no me gustó fue el baño, super pequeño y no había manera de graduar la temperatura del agua de la ducha! Por lo demás bien. Buen desayuno y buen trato recibido por parte del personal.

Very friendly staff. Very good access to public transportation. Best value but don't be expecting a fancy hotel for this price. Not all rooms have a bathroom but you can send an e-mail to the hotel to make sure that you get one. Overall- highly recommended for this price range.

This hotel is very well placed, and ideal for tourism! The employees are very open, service oriented and we really appreciated our stay there! good address to keep and share.

It was great value for the price. The breakfast which was included was good. The staff were friendly and the room and common bathroom and toilet were always kept clean. Our room was facing the street so traffic noise could sometimes be annoying. The best thing about this hotel, however, is its location which is less than half an hour to the airport and the central station. The bus stop and train station are only 5 minutes away. There are super markets and plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood as well.

Very good location (near S-bahn ring, easy to find when you come by car). The rooms close to the streets are really noisy, it's very disturbing. Same price for a room with bathroom and for a room without it.

Rooms very basic. Shared shower and toilets not convenient. Handily located for s-bahn. Rooms were cold, the heating seemed erratic, leaving the rooms chilly in the evening. breakfast was ok and staff were friendly. It was cheap but would'nt go there again.

It's a cheap and correct hotel but rooms havn't WC and shower and it isn´t so clear in the web.

The room was very small and smelt very strongly of cigarette smoke, as did the bed linen and towels. The room was not ready when we arrived, at the time I had told the hotel we would be arriving and we had to wait in the reception area for half an hour. I paid in cash when I checked in, but was again asked to pay the following morning after breakfast. breakfast itself varied depending on who was serving it, one morning we had juice but two mornings we did not. The staff were not particularly friendly and I found the area around the hotel quite intimidating especially at night and would not have gone out after dark if my son had not been with me. I enjoyed my break in Berlin but would not stay in this hotel again, and would not recommend it to my friends.

The hotel is located on a busy road and very close to the train station stated in the description. It was just a straight way which took us 3-5 minute of walking with our huge suitcase. The hotel didn't have an elevator but luckily we had a room on the first floor. Private bathroom was available with no extra cost but we only knew when we arrived, so make sure you state in your reservation if you want one. The shared one was ok, it was generally clean and available for use. The breakfast was some coffee, ham and cheese, juice and a boiled egg, and it was enough to make us full. There was a kebab shop right opposite to the hotel which opened till late and was cheap. The owner was friendly as well. Overall I'm satisfied with the hotel with the price paid and would recommend it to everyone who wants a cheap stay with decent services.

Was not aware whn made my booking that there was no ensuite toilet or shower however this was not a major problem as the facilities were very close to our room. The location of the hotel was excellent 3 mi walk from an s-bahn stop, there was no noise form outside the hotel although we had soem noisy people staying in the hotel and it was very well sound proofed.

It is a nice place to sleep, good breakfast, clean, a little beat cold.
